Development of modern society has brought about urban crowding & diversification, thus giving a lot of advantages to modern people, but due to the ever deepening free competition, their mental stress becomes heavy, and harmful environmental factors consequent on urbanization are threatening modern people’s health in reality. Accordingly, with the public concern for health getting higher, the motivation of intention of participation in a medical resort for rest, recreation and health maintenance, etc. has increased, and as a medical tour is getting a lot of attention due to people’s lifestyle putting emphasis on health, a medical resort equipped with various facilities for treatment has come to be required. In addition, this study is to divide a medical resort into treatment space, care space, experience space and lodging space according to its function, and to define the healing environment design expression characteristics as spatiality, sentience, morphologic property, and placeness . As a result of investigation and comparative analysis of the status of domestic & overseas resorts on the basis of this, it was found that a medical resort is general medical service facility, such as treatment of diseases, diet, health examination, beauty treatment, and stress management, etc. In addition, a medical resort, as a composite medical recreational facility, is in need of the healing environment design elements which can maximize in-space healing. Therefore, there is a need to perceive the necessity of a medical resort in preparation for stress and harmful environment occurring as modern society is more in progress like this, and healing environment design characteristics, which can maximize treatment in the space together with diverse space compositions, are acutely required in reality; in this context, there should be lots of researches on this issue for the time to come.

Lymphadenopathy in the thoracic cavity is frequently caused by inflammatory diseases. In very rare cases, the node-bronchial fistula has been reported to be the cause of complications of pulmonary tuberculosis. A male patient with necrotizing pneumonia and mediastinal lymph node enlargements identified by chest computed tomography was also found to have a node-bronchial fistula caused by lung cancer. The patient was treated for tuberculosis with pneumonia for one week before a definitive diagnosis was made. A further investigation revealed him to have non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC, adenocarcinoma) and multiple mediastinal lymphadenopathies accompanied with the node-bronchial fistula. We report this specific case that had been previously treated for tuberculosis but was later revealed to be NSCLC accompanied with a node-bronchial fistula.
