In the case of Seoul Metro, prior to installation of platform screen doors, had seen 4~6 cases a month of mortal injuries from accidents on the platforms, including suicide attempts towards the oncoming train. However, since the installation of platform screen doors, Seoul Metro has achieved a feat of ‘0 mortal injuries’. In the initial stages of introducing platform screen doors domestically, due to a lack of experience in controlling platform screen doors, the products were imported and installed through technical cooperations from Japan, France and the United States. Thereafter, following investments in technologies by domestic firms, domestic production of parts such as overall control mechanism, specific control mechanism, RF devices and others were achieved. However, having installed platform screen doors in a relatively short period of time, DCU(Door Control Unit), an integral part of the whole platform screen door system, is yet to be fully domestically produced. At this moment in time, installation is being done with imported products or DCUs developed with DC motors. In this research, advantages and disadvantages of DC and BLDC motors for use in DCU will be analyzed and will produce an own BLDC controlling unit in order to solve any problems arised. Furthermore, the BLDC controlling unit produced will be integrated with DCU to improve the performance of the product and its price competitiveness.

Platform Screen Door, PSD, is a device that seeks to prevent accidents with regards to falling off the platform and getting trapped between the trains, achieve improvements on the cleanliness of the air, address the accessibility issue of the disabled and the elderly and provide fresher environment on the platform in general. This is achieved by preventing health hazards and accidents from occurring through installation of fixed and moving doors between rail, tram and subway platforms and the railway. Domestic firms have achieved domestic production to a large degree in various Control Units including the Overall Control Unit and RF devices through investments in technology. Despite this, full domestic production of the core of the PSD system, Door Control Unit, DCU, is not yet achieved, having to install PSDs in a relatively short period of time. Currently, controllers with DC motors are developed for installation or one is faced with having to import foreign produced controllers. In this research, the control unit prototype using the BLDC motor was domestically produced. The performance of the control unit was rigorously tested through installation on Eun-Ha Rail on Wol-Mi Island.

On the site of water and sewage treatment facilities, in order to control and monitor not only distribution installed control equipment but also power equipment and lighting equipment, on-site control panels are installed in addition to a central monitoring and control system, to form an automatic control system. In particular, in order to comprehensively manage control power failures inside the on-site control panels, the prototype under development has additional features: a DC power abnormality monitoring device that monitors control power overload and arc discharge was developed, installed and applied to the on-site control panel, and an arc sensor, an infrared sensor, and a vibration sensor which are widely used across the industry were also installed to diagnose the integrity of the insulation inside the panel.
수치해석에 의한 고효율 BLDC 모터의 제어기 설계 및 성능평가에 관한 연구

This thesis focuses on the design of control schemes for highly efficient BLOC motor drive applications using drives with output capacity of 1Hp. The control system was designed and implemented on a PIC micro-controller and applied to an electric vehicle as a viable replacement to the existing a high phase induction motor that is currently being used for these low cost, small traction drive applications. This paper for the brushless drive research has shown the optimization of the drive system for improved drive design and switching techniques that can improve the entire drive system efficiency for electric vehicle both large and small traction applications using sinusoidal PWM techniques for synthesizing the AC waveforms needed to control these traction drives. In addition, Numerical simulation was conducted to evaluate the performance of designed BLOC Motor using MotorPro simulator.

The IT project for power plants initiated domestically in 2005 necessitates the power equipment facility and the controllers for those to be sufficiently adaptable for automation system for power substations. This implies that the power plants using power equipments must be developed to satisfy the IEC61850 standards. The IEC61850 communication standards that all power equipment and facility and controllers installed in automation system for power substations must follow has had its Parts 3 and Part 4 established as international standard in January 2002 and Part 10 in May 2005, the last to become international standard. Hence all separate parts of the original IEC61850 standard came to be established as international standards. As a consequence, after 2005, in most power substations around the world the IEC61850 standard is being applied and the prominent makers are geared towards manufacturing products to the IEC61850 standard. The IEC61850 is being recognized as an essential standard that must be applied to not only power substations but for automation of power systems and communication systems. In this research, the Gateway device that connects current SCADA system and IEC61580 based system has been domesticated with Korea’s own technology and extensive testing was carried out in order to obtain confidence in its performance.
