      • 한국의 미숙(未熟) 및 정상분만아의 식이별(食餌別) 장내균총에(腸內菌叢) 관한 연구 : I. 식이별 미숙분만아의 장내균총의 변화 I. Changes of intestinal microflora of Korean preterm infants on various milk feedings

        본 연구는 우리나라 미숙 분만아의 생후 한달간 식이별 경시적 장내 균총의 변화와 분리 균속의 동정에 관한 연구로서 그 결과를 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 1. 미숙 분만아의 모유 식이하의 장내 균총을 균속별로 보면 대체로 Bifidobacterium, Bacteroidaceae, Clostridium, Eubacterium, 그리고 Enterobacteriaceae의 순으로 나타났다. 2. 미숙분만아의 미숙아 분유 식이하의 장내균총을 균속별로 보면 Bifidobacterium, Enterobacteriaceae, Eubacterium, Bacteroidaceae 그리고 Clostridium의 순으로 나타났다. 3. 미숙 분만아의 미숙아 모유 및 미숙아 분유 혼합 식이하의 장내 균총을 균속별로 보면 대체로 Bifidobacterium, Bacteroidaceae, Streptococcus, Megasphaera 그리고 Clostridium의 순으로 나타났다. 4. 미숙 분만아의 정상아용 조제 분유 식이하의 장내 균총을 균속별로 보면 대체로 Bacteroidaceae, Bifidobacterium, Streptococcus, Eubacterium 그리고 Clostridium의 순으로 나타났다. 5. 미숙 분만아의 장내 균총에서 일반적으로 총 균수에서는 유익균이, 균속의 종류에서는 유해균이 우세하였다. 6. 34명의 국내 미숙 분만아의 분변 시료로부터 총 16속(Yeasts 제외)의 균을 분리하여 그 균속을 동정하였다. Due to the uniformity of the diet during early life, the composition of the intestinal microfloras is influenced dibectly by the kinds of nutrients during the first month after birth. Especially, in case of preterm infants, the first month after birth is the most important period for survival through their lifetime, and determination of intestinal microflora for this period is important to estimate their digestive diseases and metabolic disorders. This study made an attempt to classify the major intestinal microflora of Korean preterm infants on various milk feedings during the first month after birth. This results which were obtained are as follows: 1. Dominant genuses on total cell counts in gastrointestinal tracts, ranked from highest to lowest, from preterm infants fed preterm-formula-milk were Bifidobacterium, Bacteroidaceae, Clostridium, Eubacterium and Enterobacteriaceae. 2. Dominant genuses on total cell counts in gastrointestinal tracts, ranked from highest to lowest, from preterm infants fed preterm-formula-milk were Bifidobacterium, Enterobacteriaceae, Eubacterium, Bacteroidaceae and Clostridium. 3. Dominant genuses on total cell counts in gastrointestinal tracts, ranked from highest to lowest, from preterm infants fed mixture feeding(preterm-formula-milk and preterm-formula-milk) were Bifidobacterium, Bacteroidaceae, Streptococcus, Megasphaera and Clostridium. 4. Dominant genuses on total cell counts in gastrointestinal tracts, ranked from highest to lowest, from preterm infants fed term-formula-milk were Bacteroidaceae, Bifidobacterium, Streptococcus, Eubacterium, and Clostridium. 5. Dominant microflora on total cell counts in gastrointestinal tracts of preterm infants were lactic bacteria, and septic and pathogenic microflora were predominantly over kinds of species in the preterm infants guts. 6. Sixteen genuses(except on Yeast) were isolated and identified from fecal samples of 34 preterm infants in this experiment.

      • 한국산 원유 , 시유 및 가공유제품에 있어서 Listeria monocytogenes 의 오염에 관한 연구

        국산 원유, 시유 및 가공 유제품에 있어서 Listeria monocytogenes의 오염여부를 조사하였다. 그 결과, 원유는 총 240개 시료중 9개 시료(3.75%)에서 시유는 총 100개 시료중 2개 시료(2%)에서 가공유(Flavored milk)는 30개 시료중 1개 시료 (3.3%)에서 아이스크림은 40개 시료중 2개시료(5%)에서 각각 Listeria monocytogenes가 검출되었고, 전지분유, 탈지분유, 및 유아용 조제분유 총 28개 시료, 버터 20개 시료, 치이즈 20개 시료 및 요구르트 50개 시료에서는 Listeria monocytogenes 가 검출되지 않았다. 한편 원유의 계절별 Listeria monocytogenes 의 검출 순위는 봄(6.67%)이 가장 높았고, 여름 및 겨울(3.33%)이 같이 그 다음 순위로, 가을(1.67%)이 가장 낮았다. This research was performed to study the contamination of Listeria monocytogenes in raw milk, market milk, and other milk products in Korea. In the result, 9 of 240(3.75%) raw milk samples, 2 of 100(2%) market milk samples, 1 of 30(3.3 %) flavored milk samples, and 2 of 40(5%) ice cream samples tested contained L. monocytogenes. On the other hand, all of the 28 milk powder samples (whole and skim milk powder, and modified milk powder), 20 butter samples, 20 cheese samples and 50 yoghurt samples were free from the L. monocytogenes. The incidence ratio of L. monocytogenes in raw milk was highest in spring(6.67%) followed by winter(3.33%), summer(3.33%), and Fall(1.67%).

      • 흰쥐에 있어서 LY-l17018 및 tamoxifen이 이 착상에 미치는 영향

        These studies were carried out to investigate the effects of the antiestrogens, LY-117018 and tamoxifen, on implantation in ovariectomized or intact adult rats. A Quantity of $80\;{\mu}g$ of LY-l17018 or tamoxifen was given to adult female rats on Day 1, 2, 3 and 4 of pregnancy and investigated the implantation sites on Bay 8 of pregnancy. The rats were ovariectomized at the first day of pregnancy and treated with various doses of LY-l17018 or tamoxifen together with progesterone daily from Day 2 to 8 of pregnancy and then investigated the implantation sites on Day 8 of pregnancy The results were summarized as follows; When a single dose of $80\;{\mu}g$ LY-l17018 and tamoxifen was given during the first 4 days of pregnancy, the implantation was intesively inhibited in the pregnant rat treated with LY-l17018 on Day 2 $(14.4{\pm}3.5%),\;3(16.3{\pm}5.3%)\;and\;tamoxifen\;on\;Days\;2\;(17.4{\pm}4.6%),\;3\;(16.3{\pm}2.8%)\;and\;4\;(13.9{\pm}3.5%).$ LY-l17018 was apt to inhibit more potently the implantation than tamoxifen except on Day 4 of pregnancy In rats ovariectomized on Day 1 of pregnancy and treated continucusly with 12? r9 of LY-117018 and tamoxifen together with progesterone showed the highest implantation rate, compared with the rats treated continuously with different doses of the two drugs. The correlation coefficients between the dosage of drugs and implantation rate were r= 0.91 (LY-117018), 0.51 (tamoxifen), respectively, except treatment with $625\;{\mu}g$ of the drugs. Tamoxifen was apt to stimulate the implantation more potently than LY-l17018 except groups treated with $625\;{\mu}g$ of the two drugs.

        Staphylococcus aureus 의 sublethal heating 후 NaCl 농도에 따른 회복 정도 비교

        The viability of Staphylococcus aureus, a significant cause of food poisoning in Korea, on TSA plates was determined after sublethal heating treatments and NaCl treatments. In addition, recovery levels of sublethally injured cells on TSA plates containing different concentrations of NaCl (TSAS) were investigated. The viability decreased significantly with increasing degree of sublethal heating treatments, but increases in NaCl treatment concentrations from 0 to 6% had little effect on the viability. After being sublethally treated at 55oC for 30 min, bacterial populations were reduced by 7.91, 7.97 and 7.99 log CFU/mL on 2, 4 and 6% TSAS, respectively. After being sublethally treated at 60oC for 30 min, bacterial populations were reduced by 6.46, 6.47 and 6.48 log CFU/mL on 2, 4 and 6% TSAS, respectively. Decimal reduction times (D-value) decreased with increasing NaCl treatment concentrations after sublethal heating at 55 and 60oC. These data imply that the S. aureus cells sublethally injured by insufficient heating processes had a lower recovery rate with increasing NaCl concentrations in the recovery media.

        만성 B 형 간염에서 HBsAg 및 HBcAg 의 간세포 내 발현양상과 병리조직학적 소견과의 상관관계

        Background / Aims : The purpose of this study was to assess the correlation between histologic activity and fibrosis and the distribution of intrahepatic hepatitis B core antigen(HBcAg) and surface antigen(HBcAg ) inpatients with chronic hepatitis B . Methods : 141 patients(M:F=141:27) with biopsy-proven chronic hepatitis B ,abnormal liver function, and a positive HBV viral marker(serum HBeAg , serum HBV DNA) were enrolled. Results : HBcAg was expressed in 96 of 141 patoents(68.1%), n HBcAg in 23(16.3%), c HBcAg in 58(41.25), and n-c HBcAg in 15(10.6%). In the cases of HBsAg, 114 of 141 patients(80.9%) were expressed as c HBsAg, 2(1.4%) as m HBsAg, and 16(11,3%) as m-c HBsAg. The presence of intrahepatic HBcAg and HBsAg according to gudat's calssification was not correlated with activity and fibrosis. But the groups with nuckear expression of HBcAg revealed less inflammatory activity (grade, p=0.003), and less fibrotic stage(p=0.002) than with cytoplasmic or no expression of HBcAg. HBsAg was not. Conclusion : These observations suggest that inflammatory activity and fibrosis of chronic hepatitis B are related to the presence of HBcAg in hepatocytes and the expression of HBcAg. This is a very important finding in hepatocytolysis.

        흰쥐의 임신초기에 있어서 PAF(Platelet-Activating Factor)가 착상에 미치는 영향

        본연구의 목적은 흰쥐의 임신 초기에 있어서 착상의 유발에 PAF의 관련여부를 PAF의 수용체 길항제인 BN-52021d의 작용과 비교하여 결정하기 위함이다. 임신초기 각일에 점증하는 용량의 BN-52021 (체중 200g당 10g 내지 1.25mg)이 근육내로 주사되었을때 10g내지 250g 용량에서는 대조구에 비하여 착상부위의 수 혹은 이것을 가진 흰쥐의 수에 대하여 현저한 영향을 미치지 아니하였으나 1.25mg투여 경우에는 현저히 감소된 효과를 나타

        Evaluation and Management of Caustic Injuries from Ingestion of Acid or Alkaline Substances

        Although the numbers have decreased compared with in the past, cases of patients who ingest caustic substances and visit the emergency room are not rare. However, well-summarized data about caustic injuries are insufficient. Therefore, in this article, I will discuss the etiologic causative agents, injury mechanism, and clinical characteristics, as well as the endoscopic evaluation of the degree of injury and proper management of the patient, in gastrointestinal caustic injury.
