In this study, the impact of the efficiency change of various appliances using natural gas has been investigated. Heating devices, cooking devices, cooling units, cogeneration systems and vehicles are of major concern for the investigation. In addtion, foreign examples of demand side management for the units using natural gas have been surveyed. The expectations for the efficiency enhancement of natural gas devices were analyzed.
자기구축 최적 신경회로망에 관한 연구 : 단기 부하 예측을 중심으로

This paper presents a method of daily load forecasting using self-constructed ANNs which can automatically determine suitable sized hidden neurons in back propagation algorithm. The degree of forecasting accuracy in BP-ANNs largely depends upon the neuron number in hidden layer. In order to construct an optimal structure, We develop learning limit indices which can provide the constructed network with an information about learning states needed to determine the optimal hidden neurons overall ANN learning procedure. The proposed method is applied to daily load forecasting of a power system and the effectiveness is turned out.
전력수요관리 프로그램의 비용효과 심사모델 : An Approach from Nation-wide Perspective 국가적 관점에서의 접근

An important purpose of screening DSM(Demand Side Management) programs is to determine which programs or technologies seem to be most worthy of further development, given the characteristics of the particular utility system. Complication found in screenig DSM technologies is the consideration of costs and benefits from several perspectives: the utility, society, participants, free riders and nonparticpants. In this paper, a nation-wide DSM screening model is presented using a rigorous spread sheet formulation on the financial basis and the concept of marginal costs considering all affected parties inside the nation is fully exploited. From the poroposed model, electrical demand can be estimated considering the price elasticity for demand and the customer choice of DSM programs. Cost-effectiveness on participants, free riders and nonparticipants can be respectively specified based on net benefit analysis, and it can provide a precise size description on the customer effects.
초전도 저장장치의 신경회로망 모형 및 이를 이용한 안정도해석 앨고리즘 개발에 관한 연구

Recently the need of energy storage device such as the pumped-storage has more and more increased in power system in order to aid a side reliability. But it has the problem of environment. As an alternative way of installing it, the Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage(SMES) is widely study in a power system. Generally the SMES might divide in two class ; the storage use and the stability use. For use in storage SMES never has been construct, because of its expensive cost. Actively progressing the field of the study is for use in stability SMES, so as construction cost is relatively inexpensive. In order to application of the SMES in the power system, it has to be proven of stability efficiency through stability analysis. Stability analysis need modelling of the SMES. The existing model has been used only mathematical model that presented by first order delay time function, so that the SMES has fast response characteristic. But this kind of mathematical model of dynamic system have some problems when stability analysis requests more precision analysis. The problems are the complexity of equation, long calculus time and error of model-decision. For the purpose of settling this problems, this paper proposed an artificial neural network(ANN) methodology to make SMES modelling. ANN is presented using the input-output power characteristics of SMES. when it uses ANN which functions as a model-free system, network construction and parameters determination are carefully chosen to represent the complicated nonlinear input-output relation from the black-boxed SMES system. So far medelling of SMES by ANN never used stability analysis. In this paper, the proposed ANN-based SMES model is applied to analyze the power system stability and the simulation results provide the property of this approach.
