The extracts of Eunonymus europaeus B. native to American were prepared in the u녀usual manner, thereafter the agglutination test with various animal blood and the agglutination inhibition test on rabbit red blood cells(RBC) with human sera, whole blood, and washed RBC were carried out. As a result, the author demonstrated that E. europaeus was reacted on rabbit RBC as panphytagglutinin. Agglutinating activity of E. europaeus on rabbit RBC was inhibited by some human sera, while it was failed to inhibit by the others. The distribution of the former was 13% and the latter was 87%. There was no relation to the distribution of E. europaeus inhibitor on rabbit RBC among ABO blood groups. And, Agglutinating activity of E. europaeus on rabbit RBC was also inhibited by certain human RBC, while it was failed to inhibit by others. But the distribution of these was closely related to human B and AB blood group RBC.

There has been a lot of research works on phytagglutinin (PHA) reported by many investigators. Recently, the utilization of PHA in the medical or medicolegal field is increasing, especially as a lectin for the blood grouping, a mitogen for the artificial culture of human cells and a determinant of the receptor specificity of various tumor cells. Also, some reports should be asserted that the classification of new blood or serum type could be possible not only by use of type-specific PHA's, but also by use of pan-PHA's to human or animal red blood cells. In order to study the serological nature of Trichosanthes Kirilowii Max. extract, the author carried out agglutination-inhibiting reaction of the extract of Trichosanthes Kirilowii Max. to animal red blood cells such as dog, rat and mouse, then 3032 human sera were tried to classify with its agglutination inhibiting property to dog, rat and mouse red blood cells. The results could be summarized as follows: 1. According to agglutination reaction of dog, rat and mouse red blood cells with human sera, each human sera could be classified into two groups, one being positive and the other negative. Their serum types are independent of each other. 2. Human sera also could be classfied by the agglutination-inhibiting property of human sera to Trichosanthes Kirilowii Max. extract with dog, rat and mouse red blood cells. Their serum types are independent of each other. 3. There might be an indissoluble connection between serum types being classified by agglutination reaction of human sera and agglutination-inhibiting property to Trichosanthes Kirilowii Max. extract with dog, rat and mouse red blood cells. 4. Human serum 쇼pe could be classified into 12 groups by use of agglutination-inhibiting property to Trichosanthes Kirilowii Max. extract with animal red blood cells such as dog, rat and mouse, and agglutination property of human sera.

As a result, author demonstrated that E. europaeus reacted on rabbit RBC as Pan-phytagglutinin. Agglutinating activity of E. europaeus on rabbit RBC was inhibited by some human sera, while it was failed to inhibit by the others. The distribution of the former was 13% and the latter was 8%. There was no relation to the distribution of E. europaeus inhibitor on rabbit RBC among ABO blood groups. Agglutinating activity of E. europaeus on rabbit RBC was also inhibited by certain human RBC, while it was failed to inhibit by others. But the distribution of these was closely related to human B and AB blood group RBC.
Milkman's 증후군 : 2례 보고 Report of Two Cases

Initial report of Milkman's syndrome was in 1930 with the characteristic findings of multiple, symmetrical, spontaneous, pseudofractures as a mild type of osteomalacia. However, the exact cause of the disease is not clearly defined yet. A case report was made on the cases of Milkman's syndrome of 24 and 44 year old women. Both of them had pseudofracture on proximal part of femur bilaterally and normal walking were disturbed due to pain. The younger patient had additional looser's zone on the ulna and the older case had on the scapula and rib. They are responded well to the treatment with Vitamin D_2 and D_3 50,000 I.U. Daily each. The looser's zone had disappeared completely or almost all on radiological examination in seven to ten months of treatment.
