Objective : This Study was to investigate effects of Takli-San on the anti-cancer and proliferation of immunocytes, nitric oxide(NO) production of peritoneal macrophages. Methods : We used Takli-San extract(TLS) with freeze-dried, 8wks-old male mice and cancer cell lines(L120, Sarcoma-180) for this Study. The cytotoxicity and proliferation of cells were tested using a colorimetric tetrazoliun assay(MTT assay). Results : 1. TLS was significantly showed cytotoxicity on the L1210 cell lines. 2. TLS was significantly increased proliferation of thymocytes and splenocytes in vitro. 3. TLS was significantly increased proliferation of thymocytes by all-dosage, but proliferation of splenocytes by low-dosage in normal mice. 4. TLS was significantly increased NO production from peritoneal macrophages in normal mice. 5. TLS was significantly decreased proliferation of L1210 cells in L1210 cells transplanted mice. 6. TLS was significantly increase proliferation of thymocytes by all-dosage, but proliferation of splenocytes by low-dosage in L1210 cells transplanted mice. 7. TLS was significantly increased NO production from peritoneal macrophages in L1210 cells transplanted mice. Conclusions : The present author thought that TLS had action of anti-cancer by becoming immunocytes activity(NO production, proliferation of thymocytes).
산모양깔깔새우 ( Metapenaeopsis dalei ) 유생의 염분 , 수온 및 먹이조건에 따른 성장 및 생존율

실험에 사용한 성숙한 난소를 가진 산모양깔깔새우 (Metapenaeopsis dalei)는 1999년 8월 11일 충남 외연도 근해에서 새우조망을 이용하여 채집하였다. 산란한 유생을 4개의 염분구간과 3개의 수온구간 및 5개의 다른 먹이 조건에서 사육하여 이들의 생존율과 성장률을 비교하였다. 염분조건에서는 채집지의 염분과 유사한 30과 35에서 생존율이 높았고, 수온 조건에서는 산란 수온 24℃에서 생존율이 가장 높았다. 먹이 조건 실험에서는 식물성먹이에서 생존율과 성장이 동물성을 투여한 실험구보다 높았다. Larvae of Metapenaeopsis dalei (Rathbun) were successfully spawned and reared in the laboratory under controlled conditions. The experiments were designed to examine effects of salinity (20, 25, 30 and 35), temperature (21, 24 and 27℃) and food (five items) on larval development, survival and growth. Salinity affected larval survival, from 0% at 20, to 60% at 35 (protozoea 1 to first postlarva). The highest survival rate was obtained at 35‰. Temperature affected larval survival, from 46% at 27℃ to 54% at 21℃ (protozoea 1 to first postlarva). The highest survival rate was obtained at 24℃. Mortality was the highest from protozoea 1 to protozoea 3, but decreased considerably for all temperatures once the mysis stage was reached. Larval growth was affected by different of food items. Phytoplankton (Isochrysis galbana) was the optimum food for the larval survival and the growth from protozoea 3 to first postlarva.
동해 울진바다목장에 서식하는 넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus )의 식성

The feeding habits of Paralichthys olivaceus in the Uljin marine ranching area, located on the mid-eastern coast of Korea, were studied from January to November 2009. In total, 381 specimens were collected; fish ranged in size from 15.4 to 59.0 cm in total length. P. olivaceus is a carnivore, mainly consuming other fishes and crustaceans. The prey items of P. olivaceus changed ontogenetically. Small individuals fed on decapod crustaceans while large ones fed heavily on other fishes. The diet of P. olivaceus varied seasonally. Fish comprised the main prey items throughout the year. The stomach contents index (SCI) of each size class increased and the dietary breadth index (DBI) of each size class decreased as individuals grew.
노르보넨 기반 수지 시스템에서 접착촉진제가 경화속도론과 에폭시와의 접착성에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 endo-dicyclopentadiene(endo-DCPD)의 경화반응 속도 및 에폭시수지와의 접착강도를 조사하였다. Endo-DCPD와 에폭시 사이의 접착강도를 높이기 위해 노르보넨 카복실산(NCA)과 노르보넨 메탄올(NM)을 접착촉진제로 각각 사용하였다. 여러 가지 함량의 NCA 및 NM 접착촉진제를 첨가한 endo-DCPD 공단량체에 1 세대 및 2 세대 Grubbs 촉매를 사용하여 개환복분해중합(ROMP)을 통해 반응시켰으며, 이때 발생하는 승온 경화거동을 시차주사열량계(DSC)를 사용하여 분석하였다. DSC 분석법과 model free isoconversion 법을 이용하여 endo-DCPD의 경화속도에 미치는 Grubbs 촉매와 접착촉진제의 영향을 연구하였다. 접착촉진제 사용으로 endo-DCPD와 에폭시수지 사이의 결합강도가 증가하였으며, 이는 에폭시수지와 접착촉진제 사이의 수소결합 형성에 기인한 것으로 조사되었다. The cure kinetics of endo-dicyclopentadiene (endo-DCPD) and the bonding strength to epoxy were investigated in this study. To increase the bonding strength, norbornene carboxylic acid (NCA) and norbornene methanol (NM) were used as adhesion promoters. The endo-DCPD monomer containing various contents of NCA or NM adhesion promoters was reacted with the 1st generation and the 2nd generation Grubbs catalysts via a ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP), and the dynamic cure behavior was measured using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The effects of Grubbs catalysts and adhesion promoters on the curing kinetics of endo-DCPD were characterized using the dynamic DSC analysis and the model-free isoconversion method. From the result of the adhesion test for epoxy resins with endo-DCPD, the bonding strength was increased by the adhesion promoters, which is ascribed to the hydrogen bond formation between the epoxy resin and the adhesion promoters.
가감통선산(加減通聖散)의 여러 가지 분획에 따른 L1210 암(癌) 세포주(細胞株) 억제(抑制) 효과(效果)

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate inhibitory effect of Gagamtongsung-San(GTS) on the cancer. Methods : This study estimated the cytotoxicity of GTS about L1210 and NIH3T3. We used GTS extract distilled with water, n-Hexane, Ethyl acetate and Butanol. The cytotoxicitys of GTS about cancer cells and normal cells were tested using a colorimetric tetrazoliun assay(MTT assay). Results : The results of this study were obtained as follow ; l. Cytotoxicity of water extract of GTS in L1210 cell lines was significantly increased, compared with NIH3T3. 2. n-Hexane fraction of GTS had similar cytotoxicity between L1210 and NIH3T3, and that have similar $IC_{50}$ of water extract of GTS at 276 ${\mu}g/ml$ 3. Ethyl acetate fraction of GTS had low degree cytotoxicity both L1210 and NIH3T3 cell lines. 4. Butanol fraction of GTS had cytotoxicity between L1210 and NIH3T3. Significantly, Cytotoxicity of GTS in L1210 cell lines was significant increased. 5. $H_2O$ fraction of GTS had no cytotoxicity both L1210 and NIH3T3.

Shinsuwuisaeng-Tang was a drug that treated carbuncle and cellulitis. So, the purpose of this Study was to investigate effect of Shinsuwuisaeng-Tang on the anti-cancer and nitric oxide(NO) production of peritoneal macrophages. We used Shinsuwuisaeng-Tang extract(SWT) with freeze-dried, 8wks-old male mice. and cancer cell lines(L1210, sarcoma-180) for this Study. The proliferation of cells was tested using a colorimetric tetrazoliun assay(MTT assay). The results of this Study were obtained as follow; SWT was showed cytotoxicity on the L1210 and sacoma-180(S-180) cell lines, SWT inhibited significantly proliferation of L1210 cells in L1210 cells transplanted mice, SWT accelerated NO production of peritoneal macrophages in L1210 cells transplanted mice. And SWT inhibited significantly tumor weight, increased significantly body weight and mean survival days in S-180 cells transplanted mice. This results suggest that SWT has anti-cancer by producing NO of peritoneal macrophages.
Ethylidene Norbornene/endo-Dicyclopentadiene 블렌드의 경화 거동 및 인장 특성

Ethylidene norbornene(ENB)과 endo-dicyclopentadiene(endo-DCPD) 블렌드를 1<SUP>st</SUP> generation과 2<SUP>nd</SUP> generation Grubbs 촉매 하에서 ring-opening metathesis polymerization(ROMP)으로 제조하였다. ROMP 과정을 이해하기 위하여 시차주사열분석기(DSC)로 동적 발열거동을 분석하였으며, 반응 후 만능시험기(UTM)로 인장특성을 조사하였다. 반응속도는 endo-DCPD의 양이 적을수록 그리고 2<SUP>nd</SUP> generation 촉매 하에서 더 빨라졌다. 또한 endo-DCPD를 첨가할수록 그리고 1<SUP>st</SUP> generation 촉매 시스템에서 인장탄성률과 강도는 더 높은 값을 보였으나 강인성은 감소하였다. 이와 같은 인장특성의 변화를 젤 분율 측정과 파단면 관찰을 통하여 자세히 설명하였다. Ethylidene norbornene (ENB) and its blends with endo-dicyclopentadiene (endo-DCPD) were prepared and reacted via the ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) reaction with the 1<SUP>st</SUP> and 2<SUP>nd</SUP> generation Grubbs" catalysts. Dynamic exothermic behaviors during ROMP and tensile properties after ROMP were evaluated using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and a universal testing machine (UTM) for the samples, respectively. It revealed that the ROMP rate was accelerated with the less contents of endo-DCPD and under the 2<SUP>nd</SUP> generation catalyst. Also, the addition of endo-DCPD and the 1<SUP>st</SUP> generation catalyst resulted in higher tensile modulus and strength but lower toughness. Gel fraction measurement and fracture surface observation were made to understand the tensile properties.

Taklihwangki-Tang was a drug that treated carbuncle and cellulitis. So, the purpose of this Study was to investigate effect of Taklihwangki-Tang on the anti-cancer and proliferation of immunocytes, nitric oxide(NO) production of peritoneal macrophages. We used Taklihwangki-Tang extract(THT) with freeze-dried, 8wks-old male mice and cancer cell lines(L1210, S-180) for this Study. The proliferation of cells was tested using a colorimetric tetrazoliun assay(MTT assay). The results of this Study were obtained as follow ; THT was showed cytotoxicity on the L1210 and S-180 cell lines, increased proliferation of thymocytes. And the combined effects of THT and vincristine were became cytotoxicity of cancer cell lines and increased significantly proliferation of thymocytes. THT accelerated proliferation of thymocytes in normal mice, and decreased significantly proliferation of L1210 cells and accelerated significantly NO production of peritoneal macrophages in L1210 cells transplanted mice. This results suggest that THT inhibit proliferation of cancer cells by becoming immunocytes activity(NO production, proliferation of T-cell).
