Mobile Phone Camera용 In-Line 3군 4배 줌 광학계의 설계

An in-line type, 4:1, and three component zoom lens was designed for mobile phone camera. The zoom lens was composed of positive- negative-positive power configuration and the overall length from the first lens to image plane was fixed. Initially, the basic paraxial parameters for optical layout of the zoom lens were evaluated by Gaussian ray tracing and Gaussian brackets. The zooming locus was set for zoom ratio of 4x. The over-all-length of the zoom lens was limited as short as possible to satisfy high demand for slim mobile phone. In the optimization process, there were some collisions between lens groups, so that the zoom ratio was reduced to 3.82x. The focal length of the system could be varied from 4.55 mm to 17.39 mm.
