韓國社會의 均衡的 發展 試論 : 農村地域社會의 實態와 發展方向

While urban communities in Korea have demonstrated a phenomenal rate of growth in recent decades, the rural communities have been quite static, if not deteriorating. In order to close the urban-rural gap and to assure a balanced development of the entire society, the rural communities should be encouraged to develop at a faster rate than before. The objectives of the study is to analyze various social, economic and political problems which obstruct rural development for the purpose of suggesting wars to remove these obstacles. Three broad assumptions are made in this study. First, the rural and the urban communities are complementary to each other in a larger social system. Healthy rural communities are prerequisite to the development of the whole society. Second, rural communities and urban communities are subsystems of the larger system. As such, there should be an effective interaction between the two subsystems. Third, inequal distribution of human resources in the society explains much of the imbalance between the rural and urban communities. Therefore, it is believed that the elites in the cities should be mobilized to provide developmental leadership in the rural areas. In this study, we chose Young-in County as a representative close of a rural community. Chapters I-IV analyze the economic, social, and political aspects of the rural communities in Korea, largely on the basis of existing statistical data. Additional information gathered by the anthors on several field trips to Yong-in County was used. The authors conducted an attitude survey among the elites in the Yong-in County on various subjects. The results of the research is presented in Chapter V. In the concluding section, a few policy recommendations were made toward the development of the rural communities.

느린학습자를 위한 적정도서 활용 사례와 느린학습자의 변화

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 피치마켓이 만드는 “느린학습자를 위한 적정도서” 가 느린학습자와 의미있는 타자들에게 어떤 변화를 가져오는가를 알아봄으로써 피치마켓 사업의 성과를 알아보고자 함이다. 연구방법: 느린학습자, 교사, 부모로 구성된 연구참여자 13명과 심층 인터뷰 13회를 실시하고, 멘토 5명으로 구성된 포커스 그룹을 구성하여 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 또한 6회에 걸쳐 독서 활동 현장을 찾아 참여관찰을 시행하였다. 적정도서를 접한 느린학습자들의 읽기 수준의 차이를 알아보기 위해 TOPIC 척도를 활용하여 사전사후검사를 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과: 느린학습자들은 피치마켓이 제공하는 적정도서를 통해 자신이 텍스트를 장악하는 경험을 하게되었다. 느린학습자들을 관찰한 부모와 교사들은 이해할 수 있는 텍스트를 접한 느린학습자들이 그 텍스트를 나와 연결시키면서 자신의 사고를 하기 시작했다고 말했다. 피치마켓에서는 적정도서와 더불어 느린학습자들이 함께 읽는 장을 제공하여, 개인적인 독서 행위를 사회적인 것으로 확장시켰다. 적정도서와 독서 활동을 통해 느린 학습자들이 경험한 바는 느린학습자들의 일상으로 전이되었다. 책을 스스로 선택해서 읽거나 책을 가지고 다니는 느린학습자들도 생겨났다. TV에서 뉴스도 보고, 설명도 하고, 질문도 하는 일상이 전개되었다. 느린학습자를 교육하는 위치에서는 교사와 멘토들은 새로운 접근방법을 얻게 되었다. 교사들은 피치마켓의 적정도서가 좋은 교재를 만드는 조력자가 되었다고 말했다. 결론: 본 연구는 느린학습자를 관찰한 교사, 부모, 멘토를 조사함으로써 적정도서와 독서활동을 경험한 느린학습자들의 구체적인 변화를 확인하고 특수교사와 부모에게 느린학습자를 위한 적정도서의 필요성을 촉구하였다.

One of the important problems which interest many scholars in political science is the indigenization of democracy to the political system in developing countries. Actually, most of the developing countries, except a few, violate freedom and human rights in the name of democracy. From this point of view, a study of Korean voting behavior and political orientation may be helpful in understanding Korean democracy in that democracy and election have a close affinity with each other. The thesis attempted here is to inquire into the general theory of election and, at the same time, to make an attempt to analyze the relationship between election and democracy based upon the Korean political situation, which we hope will contribute to the understanding of the meaning of democracy in Korea. The scope of this study covers, firstly the correlation of the influence between voting patterns and political situations in Korea from the emancipation of Korea from Japanese rule in 1945 to 1967, and secondly Korean voting behavior and political orientation. To supplement the discussion, theoretical and statistical analyses are widely used throughout the thesis.
