The word association test has been thought to have many defects, lacking in the consideration of object's spatial life and behavioral world, influencing it's practical analysis, since this test was utilized by early psychoanalyst including. C.G. Jung. It is the sentence completion test (S.C.T.) that supplement the former. The sentence completion test, initially attempted by Tendler is consisted of 20 short sentences, ,to which various kinds ,of reactions can be obtained; that is, indivisual satisfaction, fear, hate, and active or negative interest. Thus, as study of the S.C.T. was gradually been developed and been used in the military purpose, S.C.T. consisting of 60 items was devised and popularly used. These 60 items are subdivided into 15 branches having different goals. Author attempted the psychological study of the prostitudes in specific social situation, utilizing the S.C.T. as my initial study. The object were 30 prostitudes considered to be free from psychiatric disease, in ages ranging from 17 to 23 and with educational background ranging from primary to middle school. The control group was consisted of 35 womens senior university students in average age of 22. Scoring method is as follows; 1. Severely disturbed; which requires an aid of treatment to deal with the emotionalcompex.......2 2. Moderately disturbed; which does not require any aid of treatment but can manage the emotional complex by oneself.......1 3. Not disturbed;.......0 In order to define the degree of disturbance, signs of 0, 1, and 2 were used, deviding 60 items into 15 different purposeful branches, Evaluation of each items was based on the psychological interpretation experimented by Sacks utilizing the above mentioned scoring. In the objects studied, high rate of disturbance was noted both in treatment requiring group and no treatment requirng group; In the group of prostitudes, fear, and guilty feelings could be detected in high rate and disturbance in family constalation, particularly toward their fathers, rivaly toward the same class, and disturbed goal, future were simultaneously noted. It was found that in psychiatric point of view, they remain in psychiasthenic state.

The origin of Leprosy is lost in antiquity. Leprosy in Korea is not new, it was known eight centuries ago (1200 A. D. ). In the past, it has been described as a terrifying disease because of the disfigurement that developes as the disease progresses. Prejudices against this disease have become deeply rooted in the minds of people. They believed that Hansen' s disease. is incurable and also long standing chronic infectious; disease until modern anti-leprosy drugs which the greatest advance was the discovery that sulfone drugs were effective in leprosy and Sulfone therapy has greatly improved the disease. Even though bacteriological arrest is obtained in leprosy, the patient in whom the disease has become moderately advanced or advanced may be left with many permanent deformities which are functionally disabling and cosmetically disturbing. In general, there is a lack of knowledge and understanding about infectiousness of leprosy. leprosy. The patient should be returned to their home town when they had been treated and cured in the leprosarium. However, they are set down to the settle or resettlement villages because of most of community did not wish to give their permission for the exleprosy case to live alone or with relatives in their neighbourhood or ban. The authors studied why the leprosy are excluded from their community and what is the mechanism of mental defence process. It is obtained as follows: 1) Leprosy patients abandoned feeling from family which had had in early stage of childhood. 2) Fearful anxiety is caused in castration complex which had in the early childhood. 3) Leprosy patient are rejected from family becaese of economic collaps and ignorance of disease. 4) Leprosy patient attempted suicide several times but most of them did not commit suicide. 5) Most of leprosy patients believed God and they belong to presbyterian and catholic church.

It is a general cognitive that fundamental goal of treatment for chronic mental disorders is adaptation to normal social life living at maximum for late 20 years. Furthermore, these trends are extend to social psychiatry, O.P.D. control, and rehabilitation’s medicine The author studied of social psychiatric evaluation for patients and their relativity which contents of male 168 female 75. Results were as following: 1. Patients age ranging was occupied under 30 year old in each male and female group. 2. Status of education was generally 12 grades 3. Numbers of Hospitalization were ranged one or twice, rarely 5 time in 13 cases approximately 13%. 4. Expectation for future plan of patients were almost hopeless status. 5. Sponcers attitude toward patients were rather that the patients stay quiet. 6. Sponcers attitude in anxiety of patients were difficulties in economic, 16.4%, treatment in family 15.9% and recurrences of psychoses, suspicious of remission etc. 7. Readmission rate to Mental Hospital 74%, 92.5% respectively that were in under 1 year and 3 years, found and three years after discharge, recurrent was found less.

Guillain-Barre Syndrome에 대한 硏究

It is well known that Guillain-Barre, syndrome is most terriable disease with acute generalized paralyse in the decline of poliomyelitis. The author studied about 39 cases which has been admitted and examined in Neurology Department, National Medical Center and results were as follows: 1) Prevalent age was not seen in Guillain-Barre syndrome and distributed in each age group equally. 2) Primary disorder of Guillain-Barre syndrome was occupied in quadriplegia (28%), paraplegia (15%), and weakness (13%). 3) Visiting in clinic was within 5 day generally, and sporadic in over 6 days to 1 month. 4) Protein level in C.S.F. of Guillain-Barre syndrome was rather higher than normal range except 3 cases.
