Single Crystal Growth and Physical Properties of UT2Al20 (T=Transition Metal)
Yuji Matsumoto,Tatsuma D. Matsuda,Naoyuki Tateiwa,Etsuji Yamamoto,Yoshinori Haga,Zachary Fisk 한국물리학회 2013 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.63 No.3
We have studied the single crystal growth and the physical properties of the UT2Al20 system. Wehave successfully grown UT2Al20 (T = Cr, Ti, W and Mo) using Al self flux and have characterizedthe crystals using electron probe microanalyzer (EPAM) and X-ray diffractometer. We have alsomeasured their magnetic and electric properties. The ground states of UT2Al20 (T = Cr, Mo andW ) are Pauli paramagnetic as is likely also in UTi2Al20. The effective masses of UCr2Al20 andUTi2Al20 are only weakly enhanced.
General Tendency of Lignin Chemical Structure and its Relation to Reactivity
Yuji Matsumoto,Deded Sarip Nawawi,Satoko Shimizu,Pattaraporn Posoknistakul,Iori Tomoda,Takuya Akiyama,Tomoya Yokoyama 한국펄프·종이공학회 2016 한국펄프·종이공학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.2016 No.10
Hardwood lignins are different from softwood lignins by the presence of syringyl type aromatic nuclei. In addition, there are wide varieties in the structure and amount of hardwood lignins depending on wood species, environment of growing site, portion in the wood, portion in the cell wall, and so on. We have shown that the wide variety of lignin structure and amount can be sorted out by taking the syringyl/guaiacyl ratio as an index. Furthermore, we have also shown that lignin structure can be quantitatively related to the chemical reactivity such as delignification during chemical pulping by taking the syringyl/guaiacyl ratio as an index. In this report, we review our recent achievements about the quantitative relationships between lignin structure and reactivity.
Development of Wheeled Inverted Pendulum Type Personal Mobility with Pedal
Seonghee Jeong,Yuji Masuda,Yutaka Hiroi,Takayuki Takahashi,Osamu Matsumoto 제어로봇시스템학회 2012 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2012 No.10
In this paper, the mechanism and basic driving function of a wheeled inverted pendulum-type personal mobility with a pedal (Wi-PMP) are described. The mobility consists of a wheeled inverted pendulum-type mobile platform and a leg rowing mechanism, and thus it can be driven by a rider’s leg rowing motion. Moreover, to retain the merits of pivot turning of a parallel two-wheeled mobility, a differential gear box and a one-way clutch are installed between the pedal and the wheel shafts. It is designed such that a rider can ground his feet while sitting on the saddle. In addition, the Wi-PMP is compact and light-weight, and thus it can be driven and parked in a narrow space. Through experiments using three types of driving mode(motor driving, pedal driving, and assist driving), it was confirmed that mobility can realize all driving modes and pivot turning while keeping the feet of the rider on the pedals.
Neutron Scattering Study of Antiferromagnet U₂Pt6Al15
Kyugo Ota,Yuji Matsumoto,Yuki Watabe,Koji Kaneko,Chihiro Tabata,Yoshinori Haga 한국물리학회 2023 새물리 Vol.73 No.12
We have performed the neutron scattering study of antiferromagnet U₂Pt6Al15 with the honeycomb lattice to determine the magnetic structure. U₂Pt6Al15 exhibits two phase transitions at Tm₁ = 9 K and Tm₂ = 26 K. In phase I at Tm₁ < T < Tm₂, the magnetic reections described by a propagation vector kI = (1/3, 0, 0) were observed. In phase II at T < Tm₁, magnetic reections of kI = (1/3, 0, 0) and kII = (1/2, 0, 0) were observed and the magnetic reection intensity of kI = (1/3, 0, 0) is weak but finite. The hysteresis in the temperature dependent intensities is observed across the phase transition at Tm1, suggesting that the transition at Tm1 is of first order.
Basic Characteristic of 5-level Inverter with Different Divided DC Link Voltage
Matsuse, Kouki,Matsumoto, Takafumi,Kodera, Yuji Journal of International Conference on Electrical 2013 Journal of international Conference on Electrical Vol.2 No.2
This paper report on experimental results of 5-level inverter by DC divided link voltage. We have alreday reported that DC divided link valtage comes to be able to reduse harmonic of out line voltage. So we tested whether DC divided link voltage can reduce harmonics in experimental setup. This paper shows simulation results and experimental results. And we confirmed that DC divided link voltage can also apply in experimental setup.
HMM Parameter Learning for Japanese Morphological Analyzer
( Koichi Takeuchi ),( Yuji Matsumoto ) 한국언어정보학회 1995 국제 워크샵 Vol.1995 No.-
This paper presents a method to apply Hidden Markov Model (HMM) to parameter learning for Japanese morphological analyzer. We especially emphasize how the following two information sources affect the results of the parameter learning: 1) The initial value of parameters, i.e., the initial probabilities and 2) some grammatical constraints that hold in Japanese sen?tences independently of any domain. First and foremost, a simple application of HMM to Japanese corpus does not give a satisfactory results since word boundaries are not clear in Japanese texts because of lack of word sepa?rators. The first results of the experiments show that initial probabilities learned from correct tagged corpus affects greatly to the results and that a small tagged corpus is enough for the initial probabilities. The second result is that the incorporation of simple grammatical constraints works well in the improvements of the results. The final result gives that the total performance of the HMM- based parameter learning achieves almost the same level as the human developed rule-based Japanese morphological analyzer.
A Proposal of Korean Conjugation System and its Application to Morphological Analysis
( Yoshitaka Hirano ),( Yuji Matsumoto ) 한국언어정보학회 1996 국제 워크샵 Vol.1996 No.-
This paper presents a new Korean verb conjugation system, which enables an easy treatment of Korean morphological phenomena such as contraction. This makes the size of the dictionary for ending forms to be small. We also introduce a Korean morphological analysis system. Korean morphological analysis system generally analyzes sentences within the segments(a part between spaces). We propose a system that considers the information beyond segmentation.
