      • Transbronchial Lung Cryobiopsy : single institutional report in Japan

( Takashi Niwa ),( Tomohisa Baba ),( Tamiko Takemura ),( Kenta Murotani ),( Takashi Ogura ) 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 2019 대한결핵 및 호흡기학회 추계학술대회 초록집 Vol.127 No.-

Background: In out institution Transbronchial lung cryobiopsy (TBLC) was introduced at May, 2017. Now we experienced TBLC for 500 and more patients. We summarize here our experience.Method: All patients who performed TBLC from May 2017 to December 2018 at Kanagawa cardiovascular and respiratory center were enrolled in this study. We assessed safety profiles and diagnostic yield for all patients and calculated CUSUM score to analyze the learning curve of TBLC for patients in first half year. For the patients with peripheral lesion TBLC was performed under fluoroscopy with Fogarty® occlusion catheter to manage pneumothorax and bleeding. Results: Of 512 cases, diffuse parenchymal lung disease was 492 and lung cancer was 20 cases. Incidence of pneumothorax was 3.9% (20 cases) and there were no patient of pneumothorax to need surgical operation. All bleeding was managed by occlusion catheter. Acute exacerbation was observed in one case. During a half year in 174 cases incidence of pneumothorax changed at 79th experience and bleeding incidence changed at 69th experience. For patients with peripheral small lesion we use extra-large size (2.7mm) guide sheath (Machida® SG-27092) to do Endobronchial ultrasound guided cryobiopsy (EBUS-Cryo). EBUS-Cryo with extra-large GS were performed for 13 patients. Median target size in computed tomography was 25mm (12-43mm) and diagnostic yield was 84.6%. In case with positive echo result by radial echo (within or adjacent to) diagnostic yield was 100% and invisible cases could not diagnose. Discussion: In our study incidence of TBLC was low compared to previous report. This results revealed fluoroscopy guided TBLC with balloon occlusion method is well tolerable. And Extra-large size GS enable us EBUS-Cryo conveniently even if using 1.9 mm cryoprobe. Using larger probe in EBUS-Cryo seems to be better diagnostic yield and 2.7mm GS is promising. Conclusion: TBLC and EBUS-Cryo using extra-large size GS is useful. Further investigation is warranted.

      • Automation of 3D sewing of two different shaped parts by robot arm - Evaluation and verification of the proposed method through experiments -

        Eiri Ogura,Takashi yoshimi,Motoki Hirayama 제어로봇시스템학회 2022 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2022 No.11

To realize the task of stitching the edges of semi-circular and rectangular parts together in three dimensions with a robot arm, we have proposed and studied several methods to feed the edges of the parts accurately including a guide-set or a semi-circular robot hand. To investigate the conditions suitable for automatic stitching of the target parts in three dimensions, we conducted some experiments of the combination of different proposed methods. The results showed that the guide-set was effective in assisting the sending of parts with regular sewing lines, and that when the robot hand gripped the part, the gripping surface should have the same shape as the sewing line of the part. Through a series of experiments and verifications, we were able to realize three-dimensional sewing of two different shaped parts by the robot arm. In this report, we describe the results of verification and evaluation of the proposed methods by experiments.

      • Formation of a Ruthenium(IV)-Oxo Complex by Electron-Transfer Oxidation of a Coordinatively Saturated Ruthenium(II) Complex and Detection of Oxygen-Rebound Intermediates in C–H Bond Oxygenation

        Kojima, Takahiko,Nakayama, Kazuya,Ikemura, Kenichiro,Ogura, Takashi,Fukuzumi, Shunichi American Chemical Society 2011 JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY - Vol.133 No.30

<P>A coordinatively saturated ruthenium(II) complex having tetradentate tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (TPA) and bidentate 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy), [Ru(TPA)(bpy)]2+ (<B>1</B>), was oxidized by a Ce(IV) ion in H2O to afford a Ru(IV)-oxo complex, [Ru(O)(H+TPA)(bpy)]3+ (<B>2</B>). The crystal structure of the Ru(IV)-oxo complex <B>2</B> was determined by X-ray crystallography. In <B>2</B>, the TPA ligand partially dissociates to be in a facial tridentate fashion and the uncoordinated pyridine moiety is protonated. The spin state of <B>2</B>, which showed paramagnetically shifted NMR signals in the range of 60 to −20 ppm, was determined to be an intermediate spin (<I>S</I> = 1) by the Evans’ method with 1H NMR spectroscopy in acetone-<I>d</I>6. The reaction of <B>2</B> with various oraganic substrates in acetonitrile at room temperature afforded oxidized and oxygenated products and a solvent-bound complex, [Ru(H+TPA)(bpy)(CH3CN)], which is intact in the presence of alcohols. The oxygenation reaction of saturated C–H bonds with <B>2</B> proceeds by two-step processes: the hydrogen abstraction with <B>2</B>, followed by the dissociation of the alcohol products from the oxygen-rebound complexes, Ru(III)-alkoxo complexes, which were successfully detected by ESI-MS spectrometry. The kinetic isotope effects in the first step for the reaction of dihydroanthrathene (DHA) and cumene with <B>2</B> were determined to be 49 and 12, respectively. The second-order rate constants of C–H oxygenation in the first step exhibited a linear correlation with bond dissociation energies of the C–H bond cleavage.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/jacsat/2011/jacsat.2011.133.issue-30/ja2037645/production/images/medium/ja-2011-037645_0013.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/ja2037645'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/ja2037645'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

      • Photochemical Activation of Ruthenium(II)–Pyridylamine Complexes Having a Pyridine-<i>N</i>-Oxide Pendant toward Oxygenation of Organic Substrates

        Kojima, Takahiko,Nakayama, Kazuya,Sakaguchi, Miyuki,Ogura, Takashi,Ohkubo, Kei,Fukuzumi, Shunichi American Chemical Society 2011 JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY - Vol.133 No.44

<P>Ruthenium(II)–acetonitrile complexes having η3-tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (TPA) with an uncoordinated pyridine ring and diimine such as 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy) and 2,2′-bipyrimidine (bpm), [RuII(η3-TPA)(diimine)(CH3CN)]2+, reacted with <I>m</I>-chloroperbenzoic acid to afford corresponding Ru(II)–acetonitrile complexes having an uncoordinated pyridine-<I>N</I>-oxide arm, [RuII(η3-TPA-O)(diimine)(CH3CN)]2+, with retention of the coordination environment. Photoirradiation of the acetonitrile complexes having diimine and the η3-TPA with the uncoordinated pyridine-<I>N</I>-oxide arm afforded a mixture of [RuII(TPA)(diimine)]2+, intermediate-spin (<I>S</I> = 1) Ru(IV)–oxo complex with uncoordinated pyridine arm, and intermediate-spin Ru(IV)–oxo complex with uncoordinated pyridine-<I>N</I>-oxide arm. A Ru(II) complex bearing an oxygen-bound pyridine-<I>N</I>-oxide as a ligand and bpm as a diimine ligand was also obtained, and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray crystallography. Femtosecond laser flash photolysis of the isolated <I>O</I>-coordinated Ru(II)–pyridine-<I>N</I>-oxide complex has been investigated to reveal the photodynamics. The Ru(IV)–oxo complex with an uncoordinated pyridine moiety was alternatively prepared by reaction of the corresponding acetonitrile complex with 2,6-dichloropyridine-<I>N</I>-oxide (Cl2py-O) to identify the Ru(IV)–oxo species. The formation of Ru(IV)–oxo complexes was concluded to proceed via intermolecular oxygen atom transfer from the uncoordinated pyridine-<I>N</I>-oxide to a Ru(II) center on the basis of the results of the reaction with Cl2py-O and the concentration dependence of the consumption of the starting Ru(II) complexes having the uncoordinated pyridine-<I>N</I>-oxide moiety. Oxygenation reactions of organic substrates by [RuII(η3-TPA-O)(diimine)(CH3CN)]2+ were examined under irradiation (at 420 ± 5 nm) and showed selective allylic oxygenation of cyclohexene to give cyclohexen-1-ol and cyclohexen-1-one and cumene oxygenation to afford cumyl alcohol and acetophenone.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/jacsat/2011/jacsat.2011.133.issue-44/ja207572z/production/images/medium/ja-2011-07572z_0005.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/ja207572z'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/ja207572z'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/ja207572z'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/ja207572z'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

      • Real-time Measurement of Multi-point Strain by Fiber Bragg Gratings using Optical Frequency Sweeping

        Yukitaka Shinoda,Yu Sasaki,Kenichi Nagai,Izumi Ogura,Takashi Higo 제어로봇시스템학회 2009 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2009 No.8

This paper is described how FBG and OFDR can be combined to cover a greater number of locations by using FBGs with identical characteristics in combination with FBGs with different reflection wavelengths. We report on our basic experiments on multi-point strain measurements with a real-time measurement system. It is shown that this system can determine the reflection wavelengths from multiple FBGs with the same reflection wavelength simultaneously every 4 seconds.

      • Distinct Reactivity of a Mononuclear Peroxocobalt(III) Species toward Activation of Nitriles

        Noh, Hyeonju,Jeong, Donghyun,Ohta, Takehiro,Ogura, Takashi,Valentine, Joan Selverstone,Cho, Jaeheung American Chemical Society 2017 JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY - Vol.139 No.32

<P>A mononuclear side-on peroxocobalt(III) complex with a tetradentate macrocyclic ligand, [Co-III(TBDAP)(O-2)](+) (1), shows a novel and facile mode of dioxygenase-like reactivity with nitriles (R-C N; R = Me, Et, and Ph) to produce the corresponding mononuclear hydroximatocobalt(III) complexes, [CoIII(TBDAP)(R-C(=NO)O)](+), in which the nitrile moiety is oxidized by two oxygen atoms of the peroxo group. The overall reaction proceeds in one-pot under ambient conditions (ca. 1 h, 40 degrees C). O-18-Labeling experiments confirm that both oxygen atoms are derived from the peroxo ligand. The structures of all products, hydroximatocobalt(III) complexes, were confirmed by X-ray crystallography and various spectroscopic techniques. Kinetic studies including the Hammett analysis and isotope labeling experiments suggest that the mechanistic mode of 1 for activation of nitriles occurs-via a concerted mechanism. This novel reaction would be significantly valuable for expanding the chemistry for nitrile activation and utilization.</P>

The effect of daily calf stroking frequency during the postnatal period on the establishment of the human-calf relationship

        Wada, Satoko,Fukasawa, Michiru,Chiba, Takashi,Shishido, Tetsuro,Tozawa, Akitsu,Ogura, Shin-ichiro Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2021 Animal Bioscience Vol.34 No.10

Objective: Stroking calves during the postnatal period could effectively improve human-calf relationships. The objective of this study is to examine how daily calf stroking frequency during the postnatal period affects the establishment of human-calf relationships. Methods: Six calves were stroked by a trainer for 6 minutes once daily for 5 days after birth (D1). Six calves were stroked by a trainer for 3 minutes twice daily for 5 days after birth (D2). A further four calves were stared at but not stroked as the control group. The overall stroking or staring duration was the same for all groups, at 6 min/d and 30 min over 5 days. The tests for reactions to the stationary trainer in an unfamiliar environment and avoidance distance measurements for an approaching trainer were conducted at 1 month and 3 months after the treatment. Results: Calves in both stroking groups approached significantly closer to the stationary trainer, vocalized less, and looked at the trainer shorter than the control group at 1 month. However, at 3 months, there was no significant difference between the D1 and the control group, whereas the D2 approached significantly closer to the trainer and vocalized less, and looked at the trainer for a shorter time than the control group. For the avoidance distance, the trainer could approach closer to both stroking groups than the control at 1 month, however, there was no difference among groups at 3 months. Conclusion: Our results suggested that the difference in the calf stroking procedure affected the established human-calf relationships, even though the total stroking duration was the same for all stroked calves. It is likely to be more effective to stroke more frequently than intensively when the aim is to establish better human-calf relationships within limited labor time.
