        실감 콘텐츠 윤리적 부작용 대표사례 및 규정 연구 - 유형 분류 및 세부 요소를 중심으로 -

        (연구배경 및 목적) 과학기술정보통신부는 최근 빠르게 확산되어 경제, 문화, 산업 전반에 악영향을 주고 있는‘코로나19’를 계기로 디지털 전환이 가속화될 것으로 보고 비대면 서비스에 대한 관심요구가 증가함에 따라 몰입감ㆍ현장감을 높일 수 있는 실감 콘텐츠(VRㆍAR)를 활용한 서비스의 성장 가능성에 주목하고 있다. 4차 산업혁명 기술 중 한 분야인 실감 콘텐츠 기술 은 빠르게 발전하고 있으며 윤리기준의 부재는‘윤리적 공백’을 유발할 우려를 낳고 있다. 인터넷, 게임 및 인공지능 등 유사 기술과 관련한 다양한 연구 활동에 반해 이제 막 성장하고 있는 실감 콘텐츠 기술의 윤리적 부작용 사례 및 규정 연구는 매우 부족한 현실이다. 이 연구는 실감 콘텐츠에 적용 가능한 윤리적 부작용에 대한 대표사례와 규정을 조사, 분석하여 향후 연구에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 조사 및 분석범위는 실감 콘텐츠 윤리적 부작용 관련 국내외 관련 규정 사례를 살펴 보고 실감 콘텐츠의 부작용 사례의 유형을 규정한다. 규정을 토대로 실감 콘텐츠 윤리적 부작용 대표적인 사례를 분석하여 세부적인 특성 및 요소를 도출한다. (연구의 방법) 연구방법은 크게 두가지로 제시한다. 첫째, 문헌조사(학술지, 프로젝트 보고서)와 인터넷 기사 검색 등을 통해 관련규정 및 대표 관련 규정을 사례를 조사했다. 두 번째 분석된 실감 콘텐츠의 부작용 유형을 근거로 국내외 윤리적 부작용 대표사례 조사를 통해 확인된 윤리적 부작용 사례 특성 및 요소를 분석 정리하였다. (결과) 코로나 19로 비대면 산업이 주목받으면서 실감 콘텐츠(VR·AR) 산업은 과학기술, 국방, 재난, 안전, 의료, 교육 등 생활 전반에 다양한 분야에서 높은 현실감을 제공하는 경험의 확장하는 기술로 폭 넓게 활용될 실감 콘텐츠 기술은 비대면 산업의 발전과 함께 빠르게 성장할 가능성이 큰 산업이다. 하지만 기술의 발전이 가져다 줄 다양한 혜택에 반해, 가상의 공간에서 경험해 보지 못한 심각한 사회적, 윤리적 문제를 대비하기에는 기초연구가 매우 부족한 현실이다. (결론) 본 연구를 시작으로 향후 실감형 콘텐츠의 발전으로 현실과 같은 가상의 공간에서 현실의 법과 제도를 한계를 벗어난 복잡하고 다양한 새로운 사회적 문제 및 윤리적 부작용에 대해 예방적 측면에서 연구가 지속되어야 할 것이다. (Background and Purpose) The Ministry of Science and ICT have paid attention to the growth potential of services using realistic contents (VR, AR) that can increase immersion and reality amid the heightened interest and demand for contactless services; this is based on the belief that the COVID-19 pandemic, which has rapidly spread and adversely affected economic, cultural, and industrial areas, is expected to spur the digital conversion. The realistic content technology is developing rapidly, and the absence of an ethical standard has created an ethical vacuum. Currently, there is little research on the ethical fallout of realistic content technology, which is at an inchoate stage of development; Similarly, there is a lack of work examining related regulations, which is in stark contrast to the many studies that exist for similar technologies such as internet, game, and artificial intelligence. The purpose of this study was to provide the basic data necessary for future studies by investigating and analyzing the most typical cases and regulations related to ethical fallout, which would be applicable to realistic contents. The scope of investigation and analysis in this study was limited to the examination of domestic and overseas related regulations on the ethical fallout of realistic contents and the specification of the types of cases of fallout of realistic contents. Based on the regulations, the most typical cases of ethical fallout of realistic contents were analyzed to identify specific characteristics and elements. (Method) The methodology was largely based on 2 types. First, related regulations and most typical related regulations were investigated through literature (e.g., academic journals, project reports) and articles published on the internet. Second, the characteristics and elements of ethical fallout cases were analyzed and summarized, after being identified through the examination of the most typical cases of domestic and overseas ethical fallout based on the types of fallout from the analyzed realistic contents. (Conclusions) The outlook for fast and robust growth is anticipated for the realistic content technology, which would have wide-ranging applications as the technology expands to provide a high degree of reality across many different fields of life, including science and technology, national defense, natural disasters, safety, medicine, and education. This is especially relevant now that there is a heightened interest in the contactless industry given the outbreak and spread of COVID-19. (Result) Based on this study, constant research can be conducted to prevent a variety of complex and new social issues and ethical fallout cases that go beyond the boundary of current laws and institutions in the midst of developing realistic contents.

        Correlation between photoactivity of TiO<sub>2</sub> and diffusion of Na<sup>+</sup> ions from soda lime glass

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, we report the effects of Na<SUP>+</SUP> diffusion into TiO<SUB>2</SUB> during thermal annealing on TiO<SUB>2</SUB> photocatalysis. After annealing at 500 °C for 1 h, the photoactivity of colloidal sol-based crystalline TiO<SUB>2</SUB> is almost similar regardless of substrates. Interestingly, after the annealing the photoactivity of polymeric sol-based amorphous TiO<SUB>2</SUB> thin film on soda lime glass (SLG) is significantly reduced compared to that on quartz. We observed that Na<SUP>+</SUP> does not easily bond with TiOTi in crystalline TiO<SUB>2</SUB>, while large amount of TiONa bonds are formed in the amorphous TiO<SUB>2</SUB> on SLG during crystallization at 500 °C.         Real Time Wide Area Voltage Stability Index in the Korean Metropolitan Area

        Through the development of phasor measurement units (PMU), various aspects of power system dynamic behavior could be monitored and diagnosed. Monitoring dynamic voltage stability has become one of the achievements we can obtain from PMUs. It is very important to select the most appropriate method for the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) system since there are many voltage stability indices. In this paper, we propose an advanced WAVI (Wide Area Voltage Stability) that is well suited for the purposes of monitoring the dynamic voltage stability of KEPCO’s PMU installation plan. The salient features of the proposed index are: i) it uses only PMU measurements without coupling with EMS data; ii) it is computationally unburdened and can be applied to real-time situations. The proposed index is applied to the KEPCO test system and the results show that it successfully predicts voltage instability through comparative studies.

      • Manufacturing of tailor-rolled blanks with thickness variations in both the longitudinal and latitudinal directions

        <P>A tailor-rolled blank is a semi-finished part that can be used to produce stamping parts with continuous thickness variations. This study investigates a cold manufacturing process to fabricate a TRB with variable thickness variations in both the longitudinal and latitudinal directions. The effect of the rolling process on the characteristics of the transition zone and the deformation behaviors of the blanks were investigated using various processing conditions. The dimensional variations at the transition zones were analyzed based on the cross-sectional thickness profiles of the formed blanks. The results show that manufacturing such a TRB requires an extra process to reduce dimensional instabilities caused by superimposed transition zones in both directions. To manufacture sound blanks with acceptable dimensions, this study proposes a trial method that uses blanks with circular and square holes instead of solid blank.</P>

        Effect of Silane and Sulfur Variation on the Vulcanizate Structure of Silica-Filled Styrene-Butadiene Rubber Compounds

        The vulcanizate structure of silica-filled compounds is affected by the filler-rubber interaction (FRI) due to the silica-rubber coupling reaction and the chemical crosslink density (CCD) of the matrix rubber. In this study, the vulcanizate structure changes of silica-filled compounds according to the silane and sulfur variation were quantitatively analyzed using the Flory-Rehner and Kraus equations. In efficiency vulcanization (EV) conditions with low sulfur content, FRI increased when the bis-[3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl]tetrasulfide (TESPT) content increased, and the CCD clearly decreased. By contrast, in semi-EV conditions with high sulfur content, as TESPT content increased, the FRI increased the same way EV conditions, but the CCD was unchanged. Based on these results, it was confirmed that FRI of the silica-filled compounds increased as TESPT content increased, but CCD decreased or retained similar values according to the vulcanization system, indicating that the formation reaction of FRI was preferred over CCD.

        Measurement-based Static Load Modeling Using the PMU data Installed on the University Load

        Load modeling has a significant influence on power system analysis and control. In recent years, measurement-based load modeling has been widely practiced. In the load modeling algorithm, the model structure is determined and the parameters of the established model are estimated. For parameter estimation, least-squares optimization method is applied. The model parameters are estimated so that the error between the measured values and the predicted values is to be minimized. By introducing sliding window concept, on-line load modeling method can be performed which reflects the dynamic behaviors of loads in real-time. For the purpose of data acquisition, the measurement system including PMU is implemented in university level. In this paper, case studies are performed using real PMU data from Korea Univ. and Seoul National University of Science and Technology. The performances of modeling real and reactive power behaviors using exponential and ZIP load model are evaluated.

        This paper presents development of the stop-and-go cruise control algorithm integrated with collision avoidance algorithm and test results obtained using an electric vehicle. Sliding control theory has been used to develop a vehicle speed and distance control algorithm. A vehicle desired velocity has been designed based on the vehicle speed and distance control algorithm. The collision avoidance control was designed based on time-to-collision and warning index. The motor control inputs have been directly derived from the sliding control law. The performance of the control algorithm has been investigated through computer simulation and vehicle tests using an electric vehicle.
