Muhammad Noman,Muhammad Usman,Muhammad Zeeshan 보안공학연구지원센터(IJSIP) 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.1
The advantages of micro strip patch antennas have made them a perfect candidate for use in the local area network (WLAN) applications. This paper represents the new design of micro strip patch antenna for China Multimedia Mobile Broadcast (CMMB). In the designed micro strip patch antenna, we applied different techniques to achieve the resonant frequency of 2.7GHz with the bandwidth of 300MHz. Unique slots and conventional slits are introduced in such a way that not only enhanced the bandwidth but also provided us with the fruitful result of -74.78dB return loss. Its minor non-symmetry led to dual frequency i.e. 5.60GHz with the bandwidth of 600MHz and return loss of -15.41dB. Further the details regarding to the dimensions of the patch, ground and simulations are elaborated.

A New Quadratic Boost Converter with Voltage Multiplier Cell : an Analysis and Assessment
Muhammad Zeeshan Malik,Amjad Ali,Qunwei Xu,Guozhu Chen 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.10 No.8
A new topology of high gain DC-DC quadratic boost converter with voltage multiplier cell (VMC) is introduced in this paper. The proposed VMC technique is derived from the traditional quadratic boost converter, which has an advantage with high voltage gain and stress across the semiconductor devices are lower than the output voltage. To validate efficacy of the proposed method simulation has been performed in Mat lab Simulink software to compare the voltage gain of proposed method with others five modified boost converters. The input voltage of proposed converter and other topologies are same 10VDC but the output voltage of proposed converter is much higher than others converters which are discussed in this paper.
Numerical Investigation of Collection Efficiency of Virtual Impactor with Electro-Aerodynamic Lens

An electro-aerodynamic lens for improving the performance of virtual impactor has been proposed in this study. ANSYS FLUENT Release 16.1 was used for numerical analysis of virtual impactor with and without the electro-aerodynamic lens, used to collimate the incoming aerosol particles into a particle beam before injecting the particles into the virtual impactor. Particles supplied to the electro-aerodynamic lens were assumed to be highly charged. By using an aerodynamic lens before the virtual impactor, without any electrostatic effect, it was found that the cut-off diameter of the virtual impactor was reduced from 4.2 ㎛ to 0.68 ㎛ and that the fine particle contamination problem became more serious. However, by employing the combined electrostatic and aerodynamic effects, that is, by applying electric voltage potential to the electro-aerodynamic lens, the cut-off diameter was found to be further reduced to 0.45 μm and the fine particle contamination was eliminated.

Quantum dot-sensitized solar cells (QDSSCs) have become important in dealing with the energyeconomy-environment dilemma of today’s world. QDSSCs offer a unique set of characteristics includingmultiple exciton generation and higher extinction coefficients associated with quantum dots (QDs),avowing its potential for high photoconversion efficiency (PCE), which is evident from its augmentedincrease of the PCE to 15 % within the past decade. To make full use of the photoelectrochemical competenceof QDSSCs, researchers have strategically dealt with various detrimental events taking placewithin QDs and on interfacial positions in photoanodes. Back transfer of photogenerated electrons, electron/hole recombination via surface defects, and photocorrosion of QDs seriously deteriorate the performanceof QDSSCs and are thus considered a bottleneck for their further improvements. Deposition ofinterfacial layers (ILs) has proven beneficial in this regard and hence, it requires a comprehensive overview. Based on their positions inside the photoanode of QDSSCs, ILs offer single or multiple roles inimproving the PCE: improvement of surface passivation (passivation ILs), deposition of QDs (seedingILs), and/or control of the back transfer of electrons to the electrolyte (blocking ILs). This review coversthe multifunctional diversity of ILs inside QDSSCs, apposite characterization techniques for ILs, and prospectsregarding their role.

In this paper, we investigated the use of seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average (SARIMA) time series models for fault detection in semiconductor etch equipment data. The derivative dynamic time warping algorithm was employed for the synchronization of data. The models were generated using a set of data from healthy runs, and the established models were compared with the experimental runs to find the faulty runs. It has been shown that the SARIMA modeling for this data can detect faults in the etch tool data from the semiconductor industry with an accuracy of 80% and 90% using the parameter-wise error computation and the step-wise error computation, respectively. We found that SARIMA is useful to detect incipient faults in semiconductor fabrication.

Background: Chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL) is not an uncommon hematological malignancy which primarily affects elderly individuals. It is more common in developed world than in developing countries. The rational of this study was to determine the clinico-hematological profile in Pakistan. Materials and Methods: In this prospective cross sectional study, sixty patients with CLL were enrolled from January 2011 to June 2013. Data were analyzed with SPSS version 21. Results: The mean age was $59.0{\pm}9.2years$ (range 40-82) and the male to female ratio was 2.1:1. Peak age group was 60-70 years (38.3%) and 18.3% were under 50 years old. Major complaints were weakness (51.7%), fever (18.3%) and abdominal discomfort (13.3%). Main clinical findings were splenomegaly (46.6%), lymphadenopathy (36.6%) and pallor (26.7%). Some 16.7% were diagnosed incidentally. The mean hemoglobin was $10.8{\pm}2.4g/dl$, with a total leukocyte count of $91.5{\pm}87.8{\times}10^9/l$ and platelets $197.8{\pm}103.2{\times}10^9/l$. Anemia and thrombocytopenia were seen in 26.7% and 21.7% of cases, respectively. High LDH and hyperuricemia were detected in 15% each and elevated serum creatinine was seen in 11.6%. According to Rai staging 11.6% were in stage 0, 13.3% stage 1, 26.7% each for stage II and stage III while 21.7% patients were in stage IV. Conclusions: CLL in our patients in Pakistan, unlike in the West, is seen in a relatively young population with male predominance. Primarily disease is of B-cell origin and about 2/3 of the patients present at advanced stage.

Storage dams play a very important role in irrigation especially during lean periods. For proper regulation one should make sure the availability of water according to needs and requirements. Normally regression techniques are used for the estimation of a reservoir level but this study was aimed to account for a non-linear change and variability of natural data by using Gamma Test, for input combination and data length selection, in conjunction with Artificial Neural Networking (ANN) and Local Linear Regression (LLR) based models for monthly reservoir level prediction. Results from both training and validation phase clearly indicate the usefulness of both ANN and LLR based prediction techniques for Water Management in general and reservoir level forecasting in particular, with LLR outperforming the ANN based model with relatively higher values of Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency coefficnet (R2) and lower values of Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and Mean Biased Error (MBE). The study also demonstrates how Gamma test can be effectively used to determine the ideal input combination for data driven model development.
