To maintain the high reliability and stability in the large scale electric power system for a stabilized power supplying, it requires an accurate high speed digital distance relaying techniques. For this purpose, when it comes to faults with the power system, the digital distance relaying techniques must be investigated to extract the fundamental frequency component and to predict fault location. In this thesis, it is presented the methodology of DFT(discrete Fourier transform), which accompanied aliasing, picket -fence effect, and leakage in the process of extracting fundamental frequency component and an algorithm of extracting fundamental frequency component, using the Kalman filter theory to improve upon these disadvantages. Also, a two-state and three---state Kalman filter are considered for the symmetrical components estimatin of voltages and currents respectively. It is presented an efficient digital distance relaying techniques for the purpose of extracting fundamental frequency component. Also, to confirm the validity of Kalman filtering techniques, it is shown the experimental results obtained by using the digital simulation of power system. And, it is discussed the extracted results of fundamental frequency components by means of the Fourier transform and Kalman filtering techniques.

To find anititumor metabolites in Korean basidiomycetes, the shake-cultured mycelia of eight of the higher fungi were extracted with hot water and the extracts, after being partially purified, were subjected to in vivo antitumor test. When administered i. p. at the dose of 30mg/kg/day for ten consecutive days into the female ICR mice, which had been implanted with $1{\times}10^{6}$ / cells of sarcoma 180 twenty four hours before the first injection, the extracts of Agaricus campestris, Lyophyllum decastes, Lyophyllum ulmarium, Armillaria Tabescence and Calvatia exipuliformis respectively showed inhibition ratios of 64.1%, 65.45, 60.-%, 53.0 and 49.3%. These five species were selected for further study, whereas the extracts of Phallus impudicus, Coprinus comatus and Pholiota squarrosa whih showed the inhibition ratios of 31.2%, 33.5% and 19.0% were discontinued.

The genus Ganoderma is typical wood-rotting fungi and its fruiting body has been used as an important herb in oriental medicine. Recent research discovered antitumor components from Ganoderma lncidum. Various Ganoderma species are being cultivated in Korea. However, taxonomic system of the genus Ganoderma has been based mainly on the macromorphology of fruiting bodies and the ultrastructural characteristics of basidiospores. Since there are similar characteristics in Ganoderma mycelia grown on the same artificial media, it is suggested that the compatibility of the fungi by di-mon mating be used as an aid to determine the identity of species in addition to the conventional characterization. In this study, we examined physiological and genetical properties such as growth temperature, pH, compatibility and enzyme or protein patterns of laccase, esterase and cellular proteins of G. lucidum RZ, G. tsugae and Ganoderma species cultivated in Korea by electrophoresis for characterization of the isolates. We found that compatibility test and isozyme patterns of laccase and esterase of the mycelia could be used for the differentiation of the isolates. These results showed that Ganoderma species cultivated in Korea is genetically similar to G. lucidum but physiologically closer to G. tsugae than to G. lucidum.

To find antitumor components in the hot water extract of the cultured mycelia of Ganoderma lucidum, protein-bound polysaccharides were purified and fractionated (Fr. I-V) by DEAE-cellulose ion exchange column chromatography and Sepbarose CL-4B gel filtration. When a dose of 20 mg/kg/day of each was, i.p., injected into ICR mice, the inhibition ratios against the solid form of sarcoma 180 were $64.2{\sim}75.8%$. The antitumor component was examined for immunological activity. It increased the amount of superoxide anion released by induced macrophages in peritoneal cavity to 1.8 times and the count of hemolytic plaque-forming cells (PFC) was increased to 4.4 times as compared with those of the control group. It contained 68.6% polysaccharide which consisted of mannose, glucose, galactose, fucose and xylose and 5.1% protein consisting of 17 amino acids. The contents of hexosamine were 0.78%. The molecular weight of Fr. V that showed the highest antitumor activity was $5.8{\times}10^4$ dalton by Sepharose CL-4B gel filtration. It was named lucidan.

To develop new potent antitumor substancces with low toxicity from natural products, especially from higher fungi of Korea, the carpophores of some wild basidiomycetes were collected and the antitimor test for their polysaccharides was done. The dried carpophores were extracted with hot water, and from the extracts, crude polysaccharides were obtained by alcohol precipitation. The alcohol precipitated crude polysaccharides were partially purified by dialysis and then used as the samples for antitumor tests. Among tested, the polysaccharide of Laccaria laccata, Trametes sanguineus, Armlliariella mellea, Clitocybe in fundibuliformis, and Xeromphalina campanella respectively showed the inhibition ratio of 75%, 72%, 94% 55%, and 47% when administered i. p. once dailly for ten days at the dose level of 20mg/kg/day into the mice implanted with $10^{6}$ cells of sarcoma 180/mouse. However, those of Craterellus cornucopiodes, Daedaleopsis confrogosa, and Coriolus sp. showed almost no activities.

To find antitumor components in the shake-cultured mycelia of Volvariella bombycina, the mycelia were extracted with hot water. After the extract was dialyzed. and freeze-dried, a protein-polysaccharide fraction was obtained and examined for antitu mor activity against the solid form of sarcoma 180 in ICR mice. It showed 60.3% inhibition ratio at a dose of 20 ㎎/㎏/day for 10 days. It was found to consist of a polysaccharide moiety and a protein moiety. After gel filtration on Sepharose 4B, Fraction. B was obtained and showed the highest inhibition ratio of 71.1%. When the antitumor component was examined for immunopotentiating activity, it was found to increase the macrophage accumulation in the peritoneal cavity as well as the antibody production o1` the spleen cells of the mice.

Purpose: Due to recent advances in internal fixation techniques, instrumentation and orthopedic implants there is an increasing number of humeral shaft fracture treated operatively. As a consequence, an increased number nonunion after operative fixation are being referred to our center. The aim of this study is to report the common error during osteosynthesis that may have led to nonunion and present a systematic analytical approach for the management of aseptic humeral shaft nonunion. Methods: In between January 2007 to December 2013, 20 patients with humeral shaft nonunion after operative procedure were treated according to our treatment algorithm. We could analysis x-rays of 12 patients from initial treatment to nonunion. In a subgroup of 12 patients the initial operative procedure were analyzed to determine the error that may have caused nonunion. The following questions were used to examine the cases: 1) Was the fracture biology preserved during the procedure? 2) Does the implant construct have enough stability to allow fracture healing? Results: In 19 out of 20 patients have showed radiographic evidence of union on follow up. One patient has to undergo reoperation because of the technical error with bone graft placement but eventually healed. There were 2 cases wherein the treatment algorithm was not followed. All patients had problems with mechanical stability, and in 13 patients had biologic problems. In the analysis of the initial operative fixation, only one of 12 patients had biologic problems. Conclusion: In our analysis, the common preventable error made during operative fixation of humeral shaft fracture is failure to provide adequate stability for bony union to occur. And with these cases we have demonstrated a systematic analytic management approach that may be used to prevent surgeons from reproducing the same fault and reduce the need for bone grafting. This experiment is significant because we can provide information by measuring effect of energy saving for whom plan to install a geothermal heat & cooling system. The result shows geothemal system can save about 50% of energy(heating : 35%, cooling : 60%) and we verified that when using curtain can help saving 4~12% of energy additionally
