<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Among the four Argonaute family members in mammals, only AGO2 protein retains endonuclease activity and facilitates cleavage of target RNAs base-pairing with highly complementary guide RNAs. Despite the deeply conserved catalytic activity, only a small number of targets have been reported to extensively base pair with cognate miRNAs to be cleaved by AGO2. Here, we analyzed AGO2-bound RNAs by CrossLinking ImmunoPrecipitation (CLIP) of genetically modified cells that express epitope-tagged AGO2 from the native genomic locus. We found that <I>HMGA2</I> mRNA is cleaved by AGO2 loaded with let-7 and miR-21. In contrast to the generally accepted notion, the base-pairing from the seed region to the cleavage site, rather than perfect or near perfect complementarity, was required for cleavage of the target mRNA in cells. Non-templated addition of nucleotides at the 3′ end of the cleaved RNA was observed, further supporting the AGO2-mediated cleavage. Based on the observation that the limited complementarity is the minimum requirement for cleavage, we found that AGO2-mediated cleavage of targets is more common than previously thought. Our result may explain the vital role of endonuclease activity in controlling miRNA-mediated gene regulation.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> AGO2 can induce cleavage of targets by miRNAs with limited complementarity in cells. </LI> <LI> AGO2-mediated cleavage is more prevalent than previously thought. </LI> <LI> <I>HMGA2</I>, an oncogene in mesenchymal tumors, is cleaved by let-7 and miR-21. </LI> <LI> The cleavage enhances the suppression of gene expression by miRNAs. </LI> </UL> </P>
Recovery of Metal from ASR by the Corona Electrostatic Separation Method

This study was performed on the metal recovery from the ASR(Automobile Shredder Residues) using Corona Electrostatic Separator. The results of experiment are shown as the recovery and grade(metal content) of the metal obtained from ASR as a function of variations of size of fractures, electric voltage of electrode, rotor speed of separator and number of separation. As a result, it appears that the recovery and grade of metal are 80% and 46%, respectively at the optimum conditions of fracture size of minus 2mm, rotor speed of 60 rpm, electric voltage of 40 kV dc and one time separation. Finally, however, it results that the increase of number of separation attains the better recovery and grade of metal such as 90% and 50%, respectively at 4 time separations.

본 논문은 시계열 데이터의 수집이 원활하게 이루어지지 못하는 것을 증강기법을 통해 해결하고자 제안된 방법이다. 특히 시계열 데이터 증강은 적은 양의 데이터로 높은 정확성을 나오게 하는 것이 중요하다. 데이터 증강을 인공지능을 사용해서 진행하기 위해 생성적 적대 신경망(GAN)을 이용하여 시계열 데이터 증강을 진행하였고, Test 데이터 세트로 확인을 했을 때 평균적으로 높은 정확성을 보여주었기에 시계열 데이터가 부족한 상황에서 생성적 적대 신경망(GAN)을 통해 데이터 증강을 진행했을 때 충분히 사용 가능하다는 것을 증명하였다.

<P>Manufacturing high-quality, two-dimensional (2D), layered materials with crystal-growth techniques is an important challenge for the advancement of 2D communication technologies. In this study, a simple method was developed for synthesizing 2D nanocrystals based on the model system of SnS2. The method involves the sulfurization of a metal oxide to a metal chalcogenide, which subsequently acts as a source of vapors for the growth of 2D crystals. The effect of the annealing conditions on the thermal sulfurization of SnO2 powder was investigated. The results showed that pure SnS2 powder could be obtained in a N-2 atmosphere at 700 degrees C. SnS2 nanocrystals were successfully synthesized from the as-prepared SnS2 powder by the vapor transport method. The synthesized SnS2 nanocrystals had a 2D layered structure with hexagonal symmetry and exhibited typical n-type semiconducting characteristics, with an optical band gap of 2.05 eV. This novel method, which uses a preferentially prepared source for vapor transport, could provide a simple way to synthesize new types of 2D layered materials. This is because it only requires the volatilization of a source and subsequent condensation to a single crystal for the growth of 2D materials, with no complex chemical reactions occurring during vapor transport.</P>
