        Morin Protects Acute Liver Damage by Carbon Tetrachloride ($CCl_4$) in Rat

        The purpose of this study was to investigate possible beneficial effects of morin on $CCl_4$-induced acute hepatotoxicity in rats. Rats received a single dose of $CCl_4$ ($150{\mu}L$/100 g 1:1 in corn oil). Morin treatment (20 mg/kg) was given at 48, 24, and 2 h before $CCl_4$ administration. $CCl_4$ challenge elevated serum alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels, but these effects were prevented by the pretreatment of rats with morin. To identify the mechanism of protective activity of morin in $CCl_4$-induced hepatotoxicity in rats, we investigated expressions of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-$\alpha$), interleukin-$1{\beta}$ (IL-$1{\beta}$), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and inducible nitric oxide (iNOS). The expressions of TNF-$\alpha$, IL-$1{\beta}$, IL-6, and iNOS were increased by $CCl_4$ treatment and increased expressions of those were decreased by morin. These findings suggest that morin prevents acute liver damage by inhibiting the production of TNF-$\alpha$, IL-$1{\beta}$, IL-6, and iNOS.

        ECR plasma로 전처리된 Cu seed층 위에 전해도금 된 Cu 막에 대한 Annealing의 효과

        Thin copper films were grown by electrodeposition on copper seed layers which were grown by sputtering of an ultra-pure copper target on tantalum nitride-coated silicon wafers and subsequently, cleaned in ECR plasma. The copper films were then subjected to ⅰ) vacuum annealing, ⅱ) rapid thermal annealing (RTA) and ⅲ) rapid thermal nitriding (RTN) at various temperatures over different periods of time. XRD, SEM, AFM and resistivity measurements were done to ascertain the optimum heat treatment condition for obtaining film with minimum resistivity, predominantly (111)-oriented and smoother surface morphology. The as-deposited film has a resistivity of ∼6.3 $\mu$$\Omega$-cm and a relatively small intensity ratio of (111) and (200) peaks. With heat treatment, the resistivity decreases and the (111) peak becomes dominant, along with improved smoothness of the copper film. The optimum condition (with a resistivity of 1.98 $\mu$$\Omega$-cm) is suggested as the rapid thermal nitriding at 400oC for 120 sec.

        Most concrete is recently made of an aggregate which is properly absorbed, and carried in it according to its capability at every fields. We have been close to demand new capability of high flowing and enduring for specific concretes. That is difficult to cope with claiming the efficiency on deterioration from lack of a high quality aggregate. Therefore, For solving the problems we apply to method of packaged dry combined materials for concrete using dried materials. That is to say that it is a kind of making into an instant. In this study, There is a purpose to present fundamental data, comparing and analyzing a phenomenon of aggregate's absorption following the rate of adding water, for using existing materials.

      • 송화분이 고지방 식이 섭취 흰쥐의 혈청과 간장에 미치는 영향

        6주간 고지방식이를 섭취한 흰쥐에 있어 송화분과 탈지 송화분이 혈청과 간장에서의 지방 축적과 대사에 미치는 효과를 관찰하였다. 혈청에서의 total lipid, total cholesterol 농도는 고지방 식이군에 비해서 탈지 송화분과 송화분 투여군이 유의적으로 감소하였다. 혈청에서의 triglyceride 농도는 탈지 송화분과 송화분 투여군이 고지방 식이군과 비교했을 때 뚜렷한 감소를 보였으며, 이는 정상군과 비슷한 농도를 나타내었다. 혈당농도는 송화분, 탈지 송화분 투여군에서 유의성 있게 감소하였다. 간장을 조직학적으로 관찰한 결과, 고지방식이로 인한 조직의 지방 침착은 송화분 투여군에서 다소 억제함을 보였다. 이상의 결과를 미루어 볼 때 송화분은 동맥경화증 및 순환기계 질환의 예방과 치료에 효과적일 것으로 사료된다. Effect of pine pollen and defatted pine pollen on lipid accumulation and metabolism in serum and liver were investigated with rats fed high fat-supplemented diets for 6 weeks. Concentrations of total lipid and total cholesterol in serum significantly decreased in the experimental groups(treated with pine pollen and defatted pine pollen) compared with the control group. Concentration of triglyceride in serum was remarkably lower than that of control group. This was similar to that of normal group. Concentration of glucose in serum was significantly lower in the experimental group. It was observed from photographs of hepatic tissue in rats that pine pollen inhibits the lipid accumulation induced by high fat diets.

      • 이단하소에 의해 제조된 PNN-PZ-PN 세라믹의 압전 및 유전특성

        In the fields of the optics, precise machine, semiconductors, the micro-positioning actuators are required for the control of position in submicron range. PNN-PZN-PZT cermics were fabricated with various mole ratio of the PZT[Pb(Zr½ Ti½)O₃] PNN[Pb(Ni⅓Nb⅔)O₃]and PZN[Pb(Zn⅓Nb⅔)O₃]powders prepared by double calcination and PZT powders prepared by molten-salt synthesis method. The formation rate of perovskite phase in PNN-PZN-PZT ceramics could be obtained about 92% at PZT 0.3 mole ratio. The relative permittivity of specimen with PZT 0.3 mole ratio was shown 5,320 and appeared the relaxor ferroelectric feature. The maximum piezoelectric coefficient d₃₁to be used for evaluation the displacement of piezoceramics in PNN-PZN-PZT ceramics was 324×10¹²(C/V) at the vicinity of morphotropic phase boundary and was larger than that of solid PZT ceramics(120×10-¹²C/V).

      • 길경 Saponin 이 고지방식이를 한 흰쥐의 혈청, 간장 및 분변 지질 함량에 미치는 영향

        6주간 고지방식이를 섭취한 흰주에 있어서 길경 saponin이 지방 축적 억제와 대사에 미치는 영향을 검토하고자 혈청과 간장 및 분변 중 지방 성분을 생화학적으로 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 혈청 및 간장중의 총지질, 총콜레스테롤 및 중성지방 함량은 길경 saponin군이 대조군에 비하여 유의한 감소를 보였다. 2. 분변 중 총지질 및 총콜레스테롤 함량은 대조군과 비교할 때 길경 saponin군이 다소 배설이 증가되었으나, 유의성은 인정되지 않았다. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Platycodi radix saponin(PRS) on the reduction of lipid status in rats fed on high fat diet for 6 weeks after which lipid contents were measured in serum, liver and feces. The results obtained from this study are as follows; That the levels of total lipid, total cholesterol and triglyceride in serum and liver were significantly lower in the PRS group as compared with the control group. The contents of total lipid and total cholesterol excreted in the feces were tended to be slightly increase in PRS group compared to the control group, which were not significant.

        갈륨합금과 아말감의 전기화학적 부식거동 비교

        A gallium based alloy(GA) that was developed as a substitute for dental amalgam was investigated for electrochemical corrosion behavior in 4 kinds of electrolytes(1% lactic acid, 0.05% HCI, Modified Fusayama's artificial saliva, and 0.9% NaCl). The related corroded microstructure were examined and microanalyses were conducted using ICPES. Polarization tests were conducted by scanning from -1,500㎷ to 1,000㎷(vs.SCE) at 75㎷/min. The obtained results were as follows: 1. GA showed wide passivation area next to SYB in artificial saliva, suggesting good stability. 2. The amounts of Sn, Cu released from GA were similiar to those of CAV, and decreased in the order of KAT, SYB. 3. All of specimens were observed pits at the area of pores in electrolytes containing chloride ions, and forming much corrosion products in 1% lactic acid and artificial saliva after corrosion test. 4. From the surface analyses of XRD, GA showed much corosion products containing gallium at the surface after corrosion test. In conclusion, the corrosion resistance of GA was lower than that of SYB and similiar to that of CAV and KAT.

        In this study, the ferrite/rubber composite microwave absorbers mixed Ni-Zn ferrite and Ni₂Y ferroxplanna were prepared in order to control matching condition. The variation of the material constants(ε*, μ*) and microwave absorbing characteristics were investigated with various ferrite mixing ratio. The material constants of ferrite/rubber composite microwave absorber could be controlled by variation ferrite mixing ratio.

      • Polysulfide 前處理에 의한 Cyanide 含有廢水의 活性汚泥處理

        The objective of this study was performed in order to obtain the changing efficiency of SCN- according to and reaction time. For that reason, the polysulfide was added to the cyanide wastewater in a fixed weight ratio. Herewith the design parameter was determined for the synthetic wastewater containing 300㎎/ℓof SCN- and was compared substrate removal constant(k) with adsorption reaction constant(k₁k₂) by adsorption equilibrium eqtion. The changing rate of CN- to SCN- was found to be pH 10, pH 12 for 90∼95 percent within 3 hours. On other hand, was found to be pH 7 for 60∼65 perdent due to the Polysulfide precipitating. On the occasion of 10, after the reaction time proceeded 3 hours, pH of bulk solution was varied from 10 to 7. But practically changing of SCN concentration was not significant. Treatment of the synthetic wastewater containing 300㎎/ℓof SCN- at 20±1℃ with the Hydraulic retention tin of 6 to 18 and MLVSS concentration of 3050 to 3590㎎/ℓgave 94.2∼96.5 percent in substrate removal efficiencies as COD . The design parameters of k, Y, ke, Vmax and Km were determined to 0.0247 d-1, 0.2119, 0.0561 d-1, 4 d-1, and 153.96㎎/ℓ. In adsorption teste using acclimated sludge, adsorption removal rate was 0.5476㎎/㎎ MLVSS. day at 314㎎/ℓ initial SCN- concentration and was 0.3045㎎/㎎ MLVSS·day at 576㎎/ℓ of initial SCN- concentration. It was adapted adsorption equilibrium equation for substrate removal by the activated sludege. In the results, Freudlich's adsorption reaction constant, k₁ was 0.0273 day-1 and n₁was 0.840 and Katz's adsorption reaction constant, k₂ was 0.0287 day-1 and n₂was 0.839. These values were similar in comparison with the substrate removal constant(k=0.247).

      • 茯笭 人工栽培에 適合한 原木과 種菌 接種量 및 接種方法에 關한 硏究

        This study was carried out to improve the culturing method of P. cocos, on saving labor and inoculation amount. Therefore, the result of this experiment was as the following. Proper mycelium growth and density of P. cocos was observed in MCM(mushroom complete medium). In the selection of tree species, pine and larch had better in spawn culture and sclerotia formation condition. In the experiment of pine, Yield was 33.7㎏/3.3㎡. In inoculation amount, conventional method(cross slice inoculation) required 16 ~ 20 bottles/1000cc of spawn. In contrast, short log,drilling inoculation method required 8 ~ 10 bottles/1000cc, 2 ~ 3 bottles/1000cc of spawn, which reduced by 50% and 85 ~ 90% of inoculation respectively. In conventional method, the yield of pine was 23.4㎏/3.3㎡. In the case of drilling and short log inoculation, Yield was 28.7㎏ / 3.3㎡(25㎜ / depth) and 30.1kg / 3.3㎡(35mm / depth), 31.7㎏ / 3.3㎡ respectively, Therefore, short log inoculation was increased by 25% and 35% compared with conventional method. In conclusion, management cost was also saved.
