Design and Research on High-Reliability HPEBB Used in Cascaded DSTATCOM
Kun Yang,Yue Wang,Guozhu Chen 전력전자학회 2015 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.15 No.3
The H-bridge inverter is the fundamental power cell of the cascaded distribution static synchronous compensator (DSTATCOM). Thus, cell reliability is important to the compensation performance and stability of the overall system. The concept of the power electronics building block (PEBB) is an ideal solution for the power cell design. In this paper, an H-bridge inverter-based “plug and play” HPEBB is introduced into the main circuit and the controller to improve the compensation performance and reliability of the device. The section that discusses the main circuit primarily emphasizes the design of electrical parameters, physical structure, and thermal dissipation. The section that presents the controller part focuses on the principle of complex programmable logic device -based universal controller This section also analyzes typical reliability and anti-interference issues. The function and reliability of HPEBB are verified by experiments that are conducted on an HPEBB test-bed and on a 10 kV/± 10 Mvar DSTATCOM industrial prototype.

Digital signal processor (DSP) and field programmable gate array (FPGA) based concentrated control systems are designed for implementing CPS-SPWM strategies. The self-defined universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter (UART) protocol is used for communication between a master controller and an individual module controller via high speed links. Aimed at undesired pulse competition, this paper analyzes its generation mechanism and presents a new method for eliminating competition pulses with no time delay. Finally, the proposed concentrated controller is applied to a 10kV/10MVar distribution static synchronous compensator (DSTATCOM) industrial prototype. Experimental results show the accuracy and reliability of the concentrated controller, and verify the superiority of the proposed elimination method for competition pulses.
Gas Hydrates Phase Equilibria and Formation from High Concentration NaCl Brines up to 200 MPa
Hu, Yue,Makogon, Taras Y.,Karanjkar, Prasad,Lee, Kun-Hong,Lee, Bo Ram,Sum, Amadeu K. American Chemical Society 2017 Journal of chemical and engineering data Vol.62 No.6
<P>Gas hydrate phase equilibrium and kinetics at high NaCl concentrations (near and at saturation in solution) and very high pressures (up to similar to 200 MPa) are investigated to study the interplay of hydrate formation and salt precipitation. Limited experimental data above 80 MPa exist for hydrate phase equilibrium in high salinity systems. This study reveals the unusual formation of gas hydrates under these extreme conditions of high salinity and very high pressure. In particular, the results demonstrate that hydrates can form from saturated salt solutions, and the formation of hydrates and salt precipitation are competing effects. It is determined that hydrates will remain in equilibrium with a saturated salt solution, with the amount of salt precipitation determined by the amount of hydrates formed. These data are essential fundamental data for gas hydrates applications in the oil and gas production flow assurance and seawater desalination.</P>

Aim: To study any correlation of LKB1 expression with prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases. Methods: A total of 70 HCC patients and 20 primary intrahepatic stone patients in the first affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical College were enrolled in this study. LKB1 expression was detected by immunohistochemistry. Patients were followed-up and prognostic factors were evaluated. Result: LKB1 expression was decreased in the HCC samples. Loss of LKB1 expression in HCC was significantly related to histologic grade (P=0.010), vascular invasion (P=0.025) and TMN stage (P=0.011). Patients showing negative LKB1 expression had a significantly shorter disease-free and overall survival than those with positive expression (P = 0.001, P=0.000, respectively). Multivariate Cox regression analysis indicated that LKB1 expression level was an independent factor of survival (P = 0.033). Conclusion: HCC patients with decreased expression LKB1 have a poor prognosis. The loss of LKB1 expression is correlated with a lower survival rate.

Nutrient signalling integrates and coordinates gene expression, metabolism and growth. However, its primary molecular mechanisms remain incompletely understood in plants and animals. Here we report unique Ca2+ signalling triggered by nitrate with live imaging of an ultrasensitive biosensor in Arabidopsis leaves and roots. A nitrate-sensitized and targeted functional genomic screen identifies subgroup III Ca2+-sensor protein kinases (CPKs) as master regulators that orchestrate primary nitrate responses. A chemical switch with the engineered mutant CPK10(M141G) circumvents embryo lethality and enables conditional analyses of cpk10 cpk30 cpk32 triple mutants to define comprehensive nitrate-associated regulatory and developmental programs. Nitrate-coupled CPK signalling phosphorylates conserved NIN-LIKE PROTEIN (NLP) transcription factors to specify the reprogramming of gene sets for downstream transcription factors, transporters, nitrogen assimilation, carbon/nitrogen metabolism, redox, signalling, hormones and proliferation. Conditional cpk10 cpk30 cpk32 and nlp7 mutants similarly impair nitrate-stimulated system-wide shoot growth and root establishment. The nutrient-coupled Ca2+ signalling network integrates transcriptome and cellular metabolism with shoot–root coordination and developmental plasticity in shaping organ biomass and architecture.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Gas hydrates phase equilibria for structure I and II hydrates with chloride salts (NaCl, CaCl2, KCl and MgCl2) were measured at high salt concentrations and up to 200MPa. The measured equilibrium data represent three-phase (Solution – Hydrate – Vapor) or four-phase (Solution – Hydrate – Salt precipitated – Vapor) equilibrium depending on the salt concentration. The hydrate phase boundary with salts was shifted to lower temperatures and higher pressures when the experimental system was below the salt saturation concentration, while the boundaries were unchanged at salt concentrations above saturation, corresponding to quadruple points. The experimental data were compared with hydrate equilibrium predictions calculated by commonly used predictive tools to assess the reliability of these tools for the brines and conditions considered. The comparison demonstrates that predictive tools exhibit large deviation to the measured data, especially at high pressures and high salinity conditions.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Gas hydrates phase equilibria with chloride salts were measured up to 200MPa. </LI> <LI> Predictions deviate from measured data at high salt concentration and high pressure. </LI> <LI> Measured data are valuable to test and improve hydrate predictive tools. </LI> </UL> </P>
