This study proposes a single-stage light-emitting diode (LED) tube lamp driver with input-current shaping for T8/T10-type fluorescent lamp replacements. The proposed AC-DC LED driver integrates a dual-boost converter with coupled inductors and a half-bridge series-resonant converter with a bridge rectifier into a single-stage power conversion topology. This paper presents the operational principles and design considerations for one T8-type 18 W-rated LED tube lamp with line input voltages ranging from 100 V rms to 120 V rms. Experimental results for the prototype driver show that the highest power factor (PF = 0.988), lowest input current total harmonic distortion (THD = 7.22%), and highest circuit efficiency (η = 92.42%) are obtained at an input voltage of 120 V. Hence, the proposed driver is feasible for use in energy-efficient indoor lighting applications.
A multi-user selective undo/redo approach for collaborative CAD systems
Cheng, Yuan,He, Fazhi,Xu, Bin,Han, Soonhung,Cai, Xiantao,Chen, Yilin Society for Computational Design and Engineering 2014 Journal of computational design and engineering Vol.1 No.2
The engineering design process is a creative process, and the designers must repeatedly apply Undo/Redo operations to modify CAD models to explore new solutions. Undo/Redo has become one of most important functions in interactive graphics and CAD systems. Undo/Redo in a collaborative CAD system is also very helpful for collaborative awareness among a group of cooperative designers to eliminate misunderstanding and to recover from design error. However, Undo/Redo in a collaborative CAD system is much more complicated. This is because a single erroneous operation is propagated to other remote sites, and operations are interleaved at different sites. This paper presents a multi-user selective Undo/Redo approach in full distributed collaborative CAD systems. We use site ID and State Vectors to locate the Undo/Redo target at each site. By analyzing the composition of the complex CAD model, a tree-like structure called Feature Combination Hierarchy is presented to describe the decomposition of a CAD model. Based on this structure, the dependency relationship among features is clarified. B-Rep re-evaluation is simplified with the assistance of the Feature Combination Hierarchy. It can be proven that the proposed Undo/Redo approach satisfies the intention preservation and consistency maintenance correctness criteria for collaborative systems.

This paper shows that if $1<p<\infty$, $\alpha\ge-n-2$, $\alpha>-1-\frac{p}{2} $ and $f$ is holomorphic on the unit ball $\bbn$, then $$\ibn |Rf(z)|^p(1-|z|^2)^{p+\alpha} \rd v_\alpha(z)<\infty$$ if and only if $$\ibn\ibn\frac{|f(z)-f(w)|^p}{|1-\langle z,w\rangle|^{n+1+s+t-\alpha}} (1-|w|^2)^s(1-|z|^2)^t \rd v(z)\rd v(w)<\infty,$$ where $s,t>-1$ with $\min(s,t)>\alpha $.
Field Weakening Control of a PM Electric Variable Transmission for HEV
Cheng, Yuan,Bouscayrol, Alain,Trigui, Rochdi,Espanet, Christophe,Cui, Shumei The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2013 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.8 No.5
This paper presents the control of a Permanent Magnet Electric Variable Transmission (PM-EVT) for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs). Consisting of two electric machines, the EVT realizes the power split function in an electromagnetic way rather than in a mechanical way. A specific PM-EVT has been designed for Toyota Prius II. The control scheme of the entire vehicle is deduced using the Energetic Macroscopic Representation methodology. The energy management strategy yields local control references. A specific attention is paid for the field weakening for wide speed range. Simulation results are provided to illustrate the EVT modeling and control.
Organic Thin-Film-Transistor Arrays for Active-Matrix Display on Flexible Substrate
Cheng-Chung Lee,Hsiang-Yuan Cheng,Jia-Chong Ho,Tarng-Shiang Hu 한국물리학회 2006 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.48 No.I
Differently from a traditional inorganic transistor, the organic thin-film transistor can be fabricated at low temperature, so we can choose a light, thin, and cheap plastic substrate to replace glass substrate. Here, an organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) has been formed on plastic substrate. An active-matrix back plate with 64 × 128 pixels has been fabricated to drive a TNLCD. We achieved a field-effect mobility of 0.03 cm2/V·s and on/off current ratio of about 105 for the pentacene OTFT on plastic substrate. Besides vacuum deposition, these properties offer potential methods to fabricate OTFT on flat panel displays, such as spin coating, ink-jet printing, and even a roll-to-roll process.
Associations of ERCC4 rs1800067 Polymorphism with Cancer Risk: an Updated Meta-analysis
Yuan, Quan,Liu, Jing-Wei,Xing, Cheng-Zhong,Yuan, Yuan Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.18
Background: Results from previous studies concerning the association of ERCC4 rs1800067 polymorphism with risk of cancer were inconsistent. To explore the exact relation with susceptibility, we conducted the present meta-analysis. Materials and Methods: Literature of electronic databases including PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Wanfang and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were systematically searched. ORs and their 95%CIs were used to assess the strength of associations between ERCC4 polymorphism and cancer risk. Results: There was no significant association between ERCC4 rs1800067 AA or AG genotypes and overall risk of cancer (AA vs. GG: OR=0.998, 95%CI=0.670-1.486, P=0.992; AG vs. GG: OR=0.970, 95%CI=0.888-1.061, P=0.508). A dominant genetic model also did not demonstrate significant association of (AA+AG) genotype carriers with altered risk of overall cancer (OR=0.985, 95%CI=0.909-1.068, P=0.719). In addition, no significant association was observed between A allele of ERCC4 rs1800067 A/G polymorphism and altered cancer risk compared with G allele (OR=0.952, 95%CI=0.851-1.063, P=0.381). Subgroup analysis suggested that AA genotype carriers were significantly associated with decreased risk of glioma compared with wild-type GG genotype individuals (OR=0.523, 95%CI=0.275-0.993, P=0.048). For subgroup of lung cancer, A allele of ERCC4 rs1800067 A/G polymorphism was significantly associated with decreased risk of lung cancer compared with G allele (OR=0.806, 95%CI=0.697-0.931, P=0.003). Conclusions: This meta-analysis indicated that ERCC4 rs1800067 A/G polymorphism might not be associated with risk of overall cancer. However, individuals with the AA genotype were associated with significantly reduced risk of glioma compared with wild-type GG genotype; The A allele was associated with significantly reduced risk of lung cancer compared with G allele. Future large-scale studies performed in multiple populations are warranted to confirm our results.
Single-incision Robotic Cholecystectomy: Initial Experience and Results
Yuan Yu Cheng,김형욱,손병호,신준호,이성렬 대한내시경복강경외과학회 2017 Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery Vol.20 No.1
Purpose: Continued efforts to reduce the invasiveness of conventional cholecystectomy techniques have resulted in the development of single-incision cholecystectomy. However, a single-port approach has significant limitations associated with proper triangulation and instrument crowding and collisions. Although the da Vinci Single-Site robotic system has been proposed to overcome these problems, objective evidence of the feasibility and ergonomics of single-incision robotic cholecystectomy (SIRC) is insufficient. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of SIRC by using objective data obtained from consecutive patients who underwent surgery with the single-incision robotic platform performed by a single surgeon. Methods: Forty patients who underwent SIRC between August 2014 and December 2015 were identified. Demographic, perioperative, and postoperative data were collected retrospectively. Results: The mean docking time was 10.82±4.85 min (range, 4~30 min). The mean console time was 49.63±10.82 min (range, 24~90 min). None of the patients required an additional laparoscopic arm, an additional robotic arm, or conversion to conventional laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Conclusion: SIRC can provide a safe operative procedure, good operative results, and high patient satisfaction, and cause less surgeon fatigue. Therefore, our study results indicate that SIRC is feasible and favorable for both patients and physicians.
