The purpose of this study estimated whether a life style and diet pattern or natural phenomenon induced to aging in changes of plasma lipid component. Also, It was estimated from the changes of plasma lipid component followed acute maximal swimming exercise in different aged rats. Three months, nine months and sixteen months male rats of a Sprague-Dawley were housed in individual cages, and they were separated into each two group. - 3 month (12) : Control (6) and Experimental (6) - 9 month (22) : Control (10) and Experimental (12) - 16 month(16) : Control (8) and Experimental (8) In the 3.9.16 month, half of control group was randomly sacrificed. The other half of experimental group was performed with swimming exercise until exhaustive state. Water tank of 50cm depth and 50cm diameter was used for this study. Rats were given a 5 min warm up with swimming exercise, this warm up was followed by taking 5 min rest period, then animal exercised until exhaustion. Plasma cholesterol, HDL, LDL and TG levels followed aning of 3,9 and 16 months was not shown a significant difference between control group. Also, Plasma cholesterol, HDL and LDL levels of experimental group was not displayed statistically significant difference between 3,9 and 16 month group, but there was a significant difference(p<.05) between control and experimental group of 16 month, and between experimental group of 3 month and 16 month(p<.05) in levels of triglycerides. Conclusively, This study suggested that changes of plasma lipid component induced by aging was not phenomenan due to increase of age, and conditions except for life style and diet patern, etc. was similar to a changes of lipid component induced as exercise.

Strain gauges are widely used for physical force measurements in mechanical, marine, aircraft and civil engineering as well as the fields of architecture, automobiles, and medical science. Strain is measured to determine the degree and behavior of forces such as stress or load. Strain gauges are easy to use and offer a high degree of accuracy and stability. This paper is shown the accuracy of experimental elastic modulus in the tension test according to the strain gauges connections and bridge circuits which are Quarter Bridge(single active uni-axial gauge), Half Bridge(two active on possion gauge), Full Bridge(four active two possion gauge).
Glucose/Hydrogen Peroxide Redox System을 사용한 견직물의 저온염색

The low-temperature dyeing system for silk fabrics based on a redox system has been investigated. Some factors affecting dyeing of silk fabrics with levelling acid dyes in the absence and presence of certain redox system were investigated under different conditions. The variables studied were the type and concentration of redox system with different dyeing conditions, i.e. temperature and time, dye concentration, material-to-liquor ratio (LR) and colour fastness. The colour strength (K/S value) is remarkably higher in the presence than in the absence of redox system. In the presence of redox system, free radicals are supposed to the formed both the fiber and the dye, and the interaction between free radicals bring about covalent fixation beside the usual electrostatic bonds, hydrogen bonds and Van der Waals forces.

The BEF(Beam on Elastic Foundation) analogy was first noted by Vlasov and then utilized for the distortional analysis of box girders by Wright et al., but it was limited only to prismatic straight box girders. With the development of this study, a more generalized element in a stiffness matrix form was presented. With this element, which is "equivalent" to the BEF(Beam on Elastic Foundation) analogy, more complicated configurations can be resulted. In this study, it compares analysis results using the traditional trigonometric function to solve a BEF(Beam on Elastic Foundation) problem with analysis results using stiffness matrix form to solve a EBEF(Equivalent Beam on Elastic Foundation).

The box girder has became a popular bridge type for long span or curved bridges because of its structural advantage of torsional stiffness. Generally box girder have inner diaphragms. The purpose of diaphragms is to prevent the deformation of cross section shape. Most diaphragms are parallel to cross section but it is necessary at present to adapt the design of bridge structures to transport requirement and the restrictive conditions of environment. City bridges, bridges spanning railway lines and stations, skew crossing of streets and highways, etc., require an irregular arrangement of internal supports. If diaphragms are applied, they are usually skew. It is advantageous to use a box girder as the basic component for a bridge of this kind because the box girder provides a high torsional stiffness, a favorable stresses, and due to the small shear stresses arising due to torsion. This paper deal with the analysis of the function of irregularly situated support and skew diaphragms and with their influence on the resulting state of stress of the box girder and compare with vertical deflections, horizontal deflections, longitudinal stresses, distortional stresses according to the angle of diaphragms.

It is advantageous to use a box girder as the basic component for a bridge of this kind because the box girder provides a high torsional stiffness, a favorable stresses, and due to the small shear stresses arising due to torsion. This paper deal with the analysis of the function of irregularly situated support and skew diaphragms and with their influence on the resulting state of stress of the box girder. The solution is shown for a box girder under eccentric load and according to the length of skew diaphragms.

The purpose of this study was to find the effects of guava leaf powder as a natural tenderizing ingredient for low-fat pork seasoned with meat sauce, and to promote a consumer demand and practical use of low-fat pork. Moisture content, pH, color, texture, and sensory tests (quantitative descriptive sensory evaluations and acceptance) were conducted to the control and 5 samples of pork seasoned with 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2, 3% guava leaf powder) to determine the highest effectiveness on tenderizing pork. Moisture content and pH values were the highest in the samples with 1% and 1.5% of guava leaf powder added. L-value of cooked meat decreased, while a-value increased. In the texture test, most of the experiments showed the best values in the sample with 1.5% added. Based on quantitative descriptive sensory evaluations, the unpleasant smell of meat tended to decrease with more guava leaf powder, and the scores of the others were highest in the sample with 1.5% added. This sample also got the highest score in the acceptance test. These results can be used as primary data for research on the tenderizing effect of a functional ingredient and solutions to unbalanced consumption of pork.
