Introducing Network Situation Awareness into Software Defined Wireless Networks

( Xing Zhao ),( Tao Lei ),( Zhaoming Lu ),( Xiangming Wen ),( Shan Jiang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2018 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.12 No.3

The concept of SDN (Software Defined Networking) endows the network with programmability and significantly improves the flexibility and extensibility of networks. Currently a plenty of research works on introducing SDN into wireless networks. Most of them focus on the innovation of the SDN based architectures but few consider how to realize the global perception of the network through the controller. In order to address this problem, a software defined carrier grade Wi-Fi framework called SWAN, is proposed firstly. Then based on the proposed SWAN architecture, a blueprint of introducing the traditional NSA (Network Situation Awareness) into SWAN is proposed and described in detail. Through perceiving various network data by a decentralized architecture and making comprehension and prediction on the perceived data, the proposed blueprint endows the controllers with the capability to aware of the current network situation and predict the near future situation. Meanwhile, the extensibility of the proposed blueprint makes it a universal solution for software defined wireless networks SDWNs rather than just for one case. Then we further research one typical use case of proposed NSA blueprint: network performance awareness (NPA). The subsequent comparison with other methods and result analysis not only well prove the effectiveness of proposed NPA but further provide a strong proof of the feasibility of proposed NSA blueprint.

Effects of rapid thermal annealing on structural, magnetic and optical properties of Ni-doped ZnO thin films

        Xing Zhao,Erjia Liu,R.V. Ramanujan,Jingsheng Chen 한국물리학회 2012 Current Applied Physics Vol.12 No.3

XPS depth profiles were used to investigate the effects of rapid thermal annealing under varying conditions on the structural, magnetic and optical properties of Ni-doped ZnO thin films. Oxidization of metallic Ni from its metallic state to two-valence oxidation state occurred in the film annealed in air at 600 ℃, while reduction of Ni2+ from its two-valence oxidation state to metallic state occurred in the film annealed in Ar at 600 and 800 ℃. In addition, there appeared to be significant diffusion of Ni from the bottom to the top surface of the film during annealing in Ar at 800 ℃. Both as-deposited and annealed thin films displayed obvious room temperature ferromagnetism (RTFM) which was from metallic Ni, Ni2+or both with two distinct mechanisms. Furthermore, a significant improvement in saturation magnetization (Ms) in the films was observed after annealing in air (Ms= 0.036 mB/Ni) or Ar (Ms= 0.033 mB/Ni) at 600 ℃ compared to that in as-deposited film (Ms = 0.017 mB/Ni). An even higher Ms value was observed in the film annealed in Ar at 800 ℃ (Ms= 0.055 mB/Ni) compared to that at 600 ℃ mainly due to the diffusion of Ni. The ultraviolet emission of the Ni-doped ZnO thin film was restored during annealing in Ar at 800 ℃, which was also attributed to the diffusion of Ni.

        Xingzhao Liu,Bowan Tao,Chuangui Wu,Wanli Zhang,Yanrong Li 한국세라믹학회 2006 한국세라믹학회지 Vol.43 No.11

Perovskite oxide materials are very import interest in the obvious applicat ions, significant effort has been invested in the growth of hi ghly crystalline epitaxial perovs kiteoxide thin films in our labora tory. And the desired structure of films was formed to achieve excellent properties. Y1Ba2Cu3O7-x(YBCO) superconducting thin films were simultaneously deposited on both sides of 3 inch wafer by inverted cylindrical sputter-ing. Values of microwave surface resistance RS (75 K, 145 GHz, 0 T) smaller than 100 m Ω were reached over the whole area ofYBCO thin films by pre-seded a self-template layer. For implementation of voltage tunable high-quality varactor, A tri-layerstructured SrTiO3 (STO) thin films with different tetragonal distortion degree was prepared in order to simultaneously achieve alarge relative capacitance change and a small dielectric loss. Highly a-axis textured Ba 0.65Sr0.35TiO3 (BST65/35) thin films wasgrown on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrate for monolithic bolometers by introducing Ba 0.65Sr0.35RuO 3 (BSR65/35) thin films as buffer layer. With the buffer layer, the leakage current density of BST65/35 thin films were greatly reduced, and the pyroelectric coefficient of7.6×107 C cm2 K1 was achieved at 6 V/ m bias and room temperature.

Residual stress of cold-formed thick-walled steel rectangular hollow sections

        Xingzhao Zhang,Su Liu,Mingshan Zhao,Sing-Ping Chiew 국제구조공학회 2016 Steel and Composite Structures, An International J Vol.22 No.4

This paper presents the experimental and numerical study on the distribution of transverse and longitudinal residual stresses in cold-formed thick-walled structural steel rectangular hollow sections manufactured by indirect technique. Hole-drilling method is employed to measure the magnitude of the transverse and longitudinal surface residual stress distribution, and the effects of the residual stresses are evaluated qualitatively by sectioning method. It is shown that compared to normal cold-formed thin-walled structural hollow sections (SHS), the coldformed thick-walled SHS has similar level of residual stress in the flat area but higher residual stresses in the corner and welding areas. Both the transverse and longitudinal residual stresses tend to open the section. In order to predict the surface residual stresses in the corners of the cold-formed thick-walled SHS, an analytical model is developed. 2D finite element simulation of the cold bending process is conducted to validate the analytical approach. It is shown that in analyzing bending for thick-walled sections, shifting of neutral axis must be considered, since it would lead to nonlinear and non-symmetrical distribution of stresses through the thickness. This phenomenon leads to the fact that cold-formed thick-walled SHSs has different distribution and magnitude of the residual stresses from the cold-formed thin-walled SHSs.

Effect of Chito-oligosaccharide Supplementation on Immunity in Broiler Chickens

        Deng, Xingzhao,Li, Xiaojing,Liu, Pai,Yuan, Shulin,Zang, Jianjun,Li, Songyu,Piao, Xiangshu Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2008 Animal Bioscience Vol.21 No.11

This study was conducted to determine the effects of dietary supplementation of either 100 mg/kg chito-oligosaccharide (COS) or chlortetracycline (CTC) with corn-soybean-fish meal on immunity in broiler chickens. A total of 147 one-day old male broiler chicks were randomly allocated to 3 treatments with 7 replicate pens per treatment and 7 birds per pen. The experimental diets consisted of a control diet based on corn, soybean and fish meal without COS and any antibiotic supplement and similar diets supplemented with either CTC (80 mg/kg from d 1 to 21 and 50 mg/kg from d 22 to 42) or COS (100 mg/kg from d 1 to 42). During the entire experimental period, all birds had ad libitum access to diets and water. The main immune organ indices, T-lymphocyte proliferation, serum cytokine concentrations, serum NO level and serum iNOS activity were measured on d 21 and d 42. On d 21, broilers fed 100 mg/kg COS had improved (p<0.01) indices of spleen, thymus, and bursa of Fabricius compared with the control and CTC birds. Birds receiving 100 mg/kg COS had higher (p<0.05) serum concentrations of $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-6, IgM, NO and iNOS than birds on the control treatment. Serum $Ca^{2+}$ level of birds fed 100 mg/kg COS tended to be higher (p = 0.049) than in birds fed CTC. On d 42, the birds fed 100 mg/kg COS had higher (p<0.05) concentrations of TNF-${\alpha}$ and IgM in serum than birds in both the CTC and control treatments. Birds fed 100 mg/kg COS had a higher concentration of IFN-$\gamma$ than the control group. In conclusion, dietary supplementation of COS appeared to improve the immunity of broilers by promoting the weight of the main immune organs, increasing IgM secretion, stimulating microphages to release $TNF-{\alpha}$, $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-6 and IFN-$\gamma$, and activating iNOS to induce NO.

        Liu, Xingzhao,Tao, Bowan,Wu, Chuangui,Zhang, Wanli,Li, Yanrong The Korean Ceramic Society 2006 한국세라믹학회지 Vol.43 No.11

PLAGL2 increases adriamycin resistance and EMT in breast cancer cells by activating the Wnt pathway

        Li Yuxiao,Liu Ruolin,Han Xingzhao,Xu Wei,Liu Yahui 한국유전학회 2023 Genes & Genomics Vol.45 No.1

Background Adriamycin (ADR) is an effective treatment for breast cancer; nevertheless, it is often linked with acquired resistance in breast cancer cells, reducing ADR’s therapeutic efficacy and increasing the risk of recurrence and poor prognosis. It has been revealed that the zinc-finger transcription factor pleomorphic adenoma gene like-2 (PLAGL2) is required for epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) in cancer cells. Recent data indicates that PLAGL2 is also involved in regulating chemotherapeutic drug resistance, albeit the exact mechanism by which this happens remains unknown. Objective This study examines the effect of PLAGL2 on adriamycin resistance and EMT in breast cancer cells. Methods The small interfering RNA (siRNA) targeting PLAGL2 was transfected to breast cancer cells to alter PLAGL2 expression. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and colony formation assay detected cell growth and proliferation rate. Moreover, wound-healing and transwell assays were conducted to evaluate migration and invasion. Western blot (WB) checked the apoptosis and EMT-associated proteins. Results PLAGL2 expression is associated with breast cancer cells’ acquired resistance to ADR in this investigation. Additionally, deletion of PLAGL2 was associated with enhanced sensitivity to ADR, reduced proliferation, migration, and invasion capabilities, increased E-cadherin levels, and reduced Wnt6, β-catenin, and DVL1 levels in ADR-resistant breast cancer cells (MCF-7/ADR and MDA-MB-231/ADR cells). PLAGL2 could bind to the promoter region of Wnt6 and promote its expression. Additionally, the results of this research established that Wnt signaling is implicated in breast cancer cells’ resistance to ADR since BML-284, a Wnt signaling activator partly restored the sensitivity of MCF-7/ADR and MDA-MB-231/ADR cells to ADR. Conclusion PLAGL2 promotes adriamycin resistance and cell aggressiveness in breast cancer cells via activating the Wnt signaling pathway.

MicroRNA-455-3p promotes TGF-β signaling and inhibits osteoarthritis development by directly targeting PAK2

        Shu Hu,Xiaoyi Zhao,Guping Mao,Ziji Zhang,Xingzhao Wen,Chengyun Zhang,Weiming Liao,Zhiqi Zhang 생화학분자생물학회 2019 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.51 No.-

MicroRNAs (miRNAs, miR) play a key role in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA). Few studies have examined theregulatory role of P21-activated kinases (PAKs), a family of serine/threonine kinases, in OA. The aim of this study was todetermine whether miR-455-3p can regulate cartilage degeneration in OA by targeting PAK2. MiR-455-3p knockoutmice showed significant degeneration of the knee cartilage. MiR-455-3p expression increased and PAK2 expressiondecreased in the late stage of human adipose-derived stem cell (hADSC) chondrogenesis and in chondrocytesaffected by OA. Furthermore, in both miR-455-3p-overexpressing chondrocytes and PAK2-suppressing chondrocytes,cartilage-specific genes were upregulated, and hypertrophy-related genes were downregulated. A luciferase reporterassay confirmed that miR-455-3p regulates PAK2 expression by directly targeting the 3′-untranslated regions (3′UTRs)of PAK2 mRNA. IPA-3, a PAK inhibitor, inhibited cartilage degeneration due to OA. Moreover, suppressing PAK2promoted R-Smad activation in the TGF/Smad signaling pathway in chondrocytes. Altogether, our results suggest thatmiR-455-3p promotes TGF-β/Smad signaling in chondrocytes and inhibits cartilage degeneration by directlysuppressing PAK2. These results thus indicate that miR-455-3p and PAK2 are novel potential therapeutic agents andtargets, respectively, for the treatment of OA.
