The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships between the participative decision factor and consume behavior of campus sport culture center. The subjects for this research were selected using stratified random sampling in Nam-gu, Kwang-ju. Data were collected employing after adjusting a questionnaire used in building Songpa-gu Sport and Culture Center in Seoul. A questionnaire was used in practice to analyze 184 (92.%) of 200. The Cronbach's α of the questionnaire showed .685 using self-administrated method. Statistics for data analyses included descriptive statistics and one-way ANOVA using SPSS version 10.0. The conclusions were as follows: There were statistically significant differences among club dues, tools, and various programs in sec There were statistically significant differences among facilities, various programs, distance of traffic in age. There were statistically significant differences among facilities, various prorams, club dues, free time, level of teacher, and distance of traffic in marital status. There were statistically significant differences between usage rate in marital status of demographic characteristics and consumer behavior. However, there were no statistically significant differences between age and gender.
FBG 센서를 활용한 고강도 콘크리트 구조물의 계측 및 모니터링에 관한 연구

Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors have already been the focus for structural health monitoring due to their distinguished advantage. However, due to bare optical fiber's fragility, bare FBG without encapsulation is not properly applied in practical infrastructures directly. So the encapsulation techniques to make encapsulated FBG sensor show very important in pushing forward the application of FBGs in structural health monitoring. In this paper, based on the FBG's strain and temperature sensing principles, monitoring techniques for steel sleeve packaged FBG sensors are brought forward.

Purpose: Testosterone replacement therapy is an effective treatment for late-onset hypogonadism (LOH) despite a few con-traindications and side-effects. The aim of this study was to determine whether modified Ojayeonjonghwan (KH-204, Korean herbal formula) improved LOH. KH-204 is a strong antioxidant herbal formula. We evaluated the effect of Korean herbal pre-scription on androgen receptor (AR) expression in an aged rat model of LOH. Materials and Methods: Eighteen-month-old rats were used as aged LOH rat models. Eighteen Sprague-Dawley rats were ran-domly divided into three equal groups of six animals each and treated with one of the following: 1) normal control group (oral administration with distilled water, n=6), 2) KH-204 200 group (oral administration with 200 mg/kg of KH-204, n=6), and 3) KH-204 400 group (oral administration with 400 mg/kg of KH-204, n=6). After four weeks of treatment (once daily, distilled water or KH-204), serum testosterone levels, changes in testicular and epididymal weight, Western blotting analysis of AR ex-pression and measurement of oxidative stress were examined. Results: Treatment with the herbal formulation KH-204 200 mg/kg and 400 mg/kg (1) increased the weights of testis and epi-didymis; (2) increased the level of serum testosterone; (3) increased the level of superoxide dismutase and reduced the level of 8-hydroxy-20-deoxyguanosine; and (4) upregulated AR expression in testicular tissue. Conclusions: KH-204 might be an effective alternative for LOH. It improves antioxidant mechanisms and increases testicular AR expression without side-effects.

<P>Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is tightly linked to heart disorders and dysfunction or death of the cardiomyocytes including resident cardiac progenitor cells (CPCs) in diabetic patients. In order to restore loss of function of resident or transplanted CPCs, much research has focused on novel therapeutic strategies including the discovery of novel function-modulating factors such as reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavengers. Here, we developed and defined a novel antioxidant, MHY-1684, for enhancing the angiogenic potential of CPCs against ROS-related DCM. Short-term treatment with MHY-1684 restored ROS-induced CPC cell death. Importantly, MHY-1684 decreased hyperglycemia-induced mitochondrial ROS generation and attenuated hyperglycemia-induced mitochondrial fragmentation. We observed that the activation process of both Drp1 (phosphorylation at the site of Ser616) and Fis-1 is drastically attenuated when exposed to high concentrations of D-glucose with MHY-1684. Interestingly, phosphorylation of Drp1 at the site of Ser637, which is an inhibitory signal for mitochondrial fusion, is restored by MHY-1684 treatment, suggesting that this antioxidant may affect the activation and inhibition of mitochondrial dynamics-related signaling and mitochondrial function in response to ROS stress. In conclusion, our finding of the novel compound, MHY-1684, as an ROS scavenger, might provide an effective therapeutic strategy for CPC-based therapy against diabetic cardiomyopathy.</P>
Depth-estimation-enabled compound eyes
Lee, Woong-Bi,Lee, Heung-No Elsevier 2018 OPTICS COMMUNICATIONS - Vol.412 No.-
<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Most animals that have compound eyes determine object distances by using monocular cues, especially motion parallax. In artificial compound eye imaging systems inspired by natural compound eyes, object depths are typically estimated by measuring optic flow; however, this requires mechanical movement of the compound eyes or additional acquisition time. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating object depths in a monocular compound eye imaging system based on the computational compound eye (COMPU-EYE) framework. In the COMPU-EYE system, acceptance angles are considerably larger than interommatidial angles, causing overlap between the ommatidial receptive fields. In the proposed depth estimation technique, the disparities between these receptive fields are used to determine object distances. We demonstrate that the proposed depth estimation technique can estimate the distances of multiple objects.</P>
