Association Between Sleep Parameters and Postural Control: A Literature Review

Tanwar Tarushi,Veqar Zubia 대한수면학회 2022 sleep medicine research Vol.13 No.1

Background and Objective The purpose of the review was to explore the association between sleep parameters and postural control. Methods The PubMed, Science Direct, and EBSCO were searched using the keywords ‘sleep’ including either sleep quality, sleep deprivation, poor sleep quality; and ‘postural control’ including either dynamic balance, static balance, postural balance, and balance control. Related studies published till December 2017 were selected. Results Acute sleep deprivation resulted in an impairment in postural control. Chronic sleep deprivation and postural control were also found to be related in a similar way to that of total sleep deprivation, thus affecting postural control negatively. Time of day was found to influence the postural control such that the postural control was better in the morning than in the latter part of the day. A study of the impact of aging on the effects of sleep deprivation on postural control revealed that loss of sleep had a more disturbing effect on postural control in the olderadult group than in younger participants, thus indicating a high risk of fall among the elderly. Conclusions Despite various limitations and methodological differences, this review has identified a negative influence on postural control due to impaired sleep in a wide range of populations, indicating the need for a more focused approach to sleep when assessing and measuring postural control.

A study on Dirty Pipe Linux vulnerability

Saurav Tanwar,김희완 한국인터넷방송통신학회 2022 International Journal of Internet, Broadcasting an Vol.14 No.3

In this study, we wanted to examine the new vulnerability ‘Dirty Pipe’ that is founded in Linux kernel. how it’s exploited and what is the limitation, where it’s existed, and overcome techniques and analysis of the Linux kernel package. The study of the method used the hmark[1] program to check the vulnerabilities. Hmark is a whitebox testing tool that helps to analyze the vulnerability based on static whitebox testing and automated verification. For this purpose of our study, we analyzed Linux kernel code that is downloaded from an opensource website. Then by analyzing the hmark tool results, we identified in which file of the kernel it exists, cvss level, statistically depicted vulnerabilities on graph which is easy to understand. Furthermore, we will talk about some software we can use to analyze a vulnerability and how hmark software works. In the case of the Dirty Pipe vulnerability in Linux allows non-privileged users to execute malicious code capable of a host of destructive actions including installing backdoors into the system, injecting code into scripts, altering binaries used by elevated programs, and creating unauthorized user profiles. This bug is being tracked as CVE-2022- 0847 and has been termed "Dirty Pipe"[2] since it bears a close resemblance to Dirty Cow[3], and easily exploitable Linux vulnerability from 2016 which granted a bad actor an identical level of privileges and powers.

Machine learning based aspect level sentiment analysis for Amazon products

        Nandal Neha,Tanwar Rohit,Pruthi Jyoti 대한공간정보학회 2020 Spatial Information Research Vol.28 No.5

The field of sentiment analysis is widely utilized for analyzing the text data and then extracting the sentiment component out of that. The online commercial websites generates a huge amount of textual data via customer’s reviews, comments, feedbacks and tweets every day. Aspect level analysis of this data provides a great help to retailers in better understanding of customer’s expectations and then shaping their policies accordingly. However, a number of algorithms are existing these days to do aspect level sentiment detection on specified domains, but a few consider bipolar words (words which changes polarity according to context) while doing analyses. In this paper, a novel approach has been presented that utilize aspect level sentiment detection, which focuses on the features of the item. The work has been implemented and tested on Amazon customer reviews (crawled data) where aspect terms are identified first for each review. The system performs pre-processing operations like stemming, tokenization, casing, stop-word removal on the dataset to extract meaningful information and finally gives a rank for its classification in negativity or positivity.

A roadmap of steganography tools: conventional to modern

        Pilania Urmila,Tanwar Rohit,Gupta Prinima,Choudhury Tanupriya 대한공간정보학회 2021 Spatial Information Research Vol.29 No.5

Steganography emerged as an effective technology for securing the data over the network. Its specificity of concealing the existence of the secret data supports its application in securing the information in the modern era. The desire of industry and support from various governments motivated the researchers to develop steganography tools. These spatial and transform domain tools implement different steganography techniques either solo or as a hybrid using a wide range of media as a cover file for hiding various types of data. In this paper, a systematic study of the steganography tools developed in the last three decades has been done. The comparative analysis of these tools based on specified parameters represents their strengths, limitations, applicability, and scope for future work as well. OpenPuff steganography tool spawns a huge acceptance by academics and professionals. This paper also analyze the performance of the OpenPuff tool on some unexplored parameters to validate and justify its performance.

        Devender Singh,Vijeta Tanwar,Anura Priyajith Samantilleke,Bernabe Mari,Shri Bhagwan,Krishan Chander Singh,Pratap Singh Kadyan,Ishwar Singh 대한금속·재료학회 2017 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.13 No.3

Eu2+ and Eu2++Ln3+ doped SrAl4O7 nanophosphors were synthesized byrapid gel combustion process. The morphology of prepared phosphorswas examined with scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The phase identification and the crystal structures of nanophosphorswere studied using X-ray powder diffraction techniques. Luminescencecharacteristics of the prepared nanophosphors were analyzed on accountof excitation, emission and phosphorescence decay analysis. Theemission spectra demonstrated the broad green emission attributed to4f65d1→ 4f7 transition of the Eu2+ ions. The effect of codoping of sometrivalent lanthanide (Dy3+, Pr3+ and Y3+) ions were investigated forimproving the emission intensity and phosphorescence decay time ofthe basic lattice of SrAl4O7:Eu2+ phosphors. The synthesized materialshad enhanced bright luminescent properties that could suitably beapplied for display as well as photovoltaic applications.

      • Spatial Raman Mapping to Probe Size Dependent Electron-phonon Interaction in Silicon Nanostructures

        Chanchal Rani,Manushree Tanwar,Rajesh Kumar 한국고분자학회 2021 한국고분자학회 학술대회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.46 No.2

Cross-sectional Raman mapping has been performed on heavily doped p and n type fractal silicon (Si) nanostructures (SiNSs) to probe size gradient and size dependent electron-phonon interaction. The time dependent progression of metal assisted chemical etching to etch different portion of silicon wafer at different times leads to change in ilicon nanostructures’ size across the nanowire. Cross sectional Raman mapping has been employed to validate the size gradient established due to etching. A systematic Raman line shape analysis obtained from the consolidated Raman map shows an anomalous size dependent electron phonon coupling variation parametrized using Raman line shape analysis and electron-phonon coupling parameter q.

Radiomics; A Potential Next “Omics” in Psychiatric Disorders; An Introduction

        Mohammadreza Alizadeh,Manoj Tanwar,Amir H Sarrami,Ramin Shahidi,Aparna Singhal,Houman Sotoudeh 대한신경정신의학회 2023 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.20 No.7

Psychiatric disorders remain one of the most debilitating conditions; however, most patients are never diagnosed and do not seek treatment. Despite its massive burden on modern society and the health system, many hurdles prevent proper diagnosis and management of these disorders. The diagnosis is primarily based on clinical symptoms, and efforts to find appropriate biomarkers have not been practical. Through the past years, researchers have put a tremendous effort into finding biomarkers in “omics” fields: genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and epigenomics. This article reviews the evolving field of radiomics and its role in diagnosing psychiatric disorders as the sixth potential “omics.” The first section of this paper elaborates on the definition of radiomics and its potential to provide a detailed structural study of the brain. Following that, we have provided the latest promising results of this novel approach in a broad range of psychiatric disorders. Radiomics fits well within the concept of psychoradiology. Besides volumetric analysis, radiomics takes advantage of many other features. This technique may open a new field in psychiatry for diagnosing and classifying psychiatric disorders and treatment response prediction in the era of precision and personalized medicine. The initial results are encouraging, but radiomics in psychiatry is still in its infancy. Despite the extensive burden of psychiatric disorders, there are very few published studies in this field, with small patient populations. The lack of prospective multi-centric studies and heterogeneity of studies in design are the significant barriers against the clinical adaptation of radiomics in psychoradiology.
