This study is aimed to compare and analyze the systems of science education of korea and China by the choice of the unit "electromagnetism". The results from the study are as follows : 1. The object of Korea education is similar to that of Chinese education. Both countries have the target to obtain knowledge and technology of science, lead to scientific thought and train ingenious ability to solve the problem But the object of Chinese education emphasize on dialectical materialism patriotism and cultivation of character. So, Educational Institute in China makes efforts to use practical science and technology. And acquisition necessary skill in chines? real life is in accord ith Korean object of technology and industry education 2. The category connected with basic scholastic ability was divided into four categories in the result of the study. Four categories put this order in both countries-(I) knowledge of science, (II) the investigative nature of science, (III) science as a way of thinking, ( IV ) the interaction of science, technology and society. In Korean case, (VI) the interaction of science, technology and society played smaller role than other categories, however it is not important, for it is treated as technology and industry education. Chum and 33 hours in Korea. And Chinese textbook has 2.68pages and Korean textbook has 1.94 3. Chinese textbook has much more lessons and pages than korean textbook when analyze of the amount of it. And the assistant teaching materials of China 1.4 times than those of Korea. 4. In teaching hours assigned to lesson of the electromagnetism about 60 hours are assigned to it in China and 33 houre in Korea. And Chinese textbook has 2.68pages and Korean textbook has 1.94 pages on lesson of the electromagnetism So, the amount of lesson in China is more than that of Korea. To ompare Chinese exact amount of lesson with Korean, We have to considered it in term of the size of textbook and letter, the gap of the line and the content of the assistant teaching materials 5. Many assistant teaching materials are needed to help student understand content of the lesson and produce more effectiveness of the lesson in editing science textbook. It is desirable to provide a lot of deepening lesson and assistant teaching materials to students after the lesson of the electromagnetism And, Learners should choose what they want to study in correspondence with their need and aMity.
韓國人의 自殺에 관한 態度 : 醫科大學生을 中心으로 ATTITUDES ON THE SUICIDE OF KOREAN MEDICAL STUDENTS

This study is designed to investigate the different opinions regarding with the problems of suicide which are related to the socioenvironmental factors among medical college students in Seoul area from June 1, 1979 to Sept. 30, 1979. The total number of subjects in this study is 419 medical college students consisting of 75 males and 344 females (191 students of medical course, 60 students of nursing course and 168 students of nursing professional school) The result are as follows; 1. There are some different opinions regarding to problems of suicide between sexes. Approval ratio toward the items concerning higher suicide rate in young man and single is higher in female group than male group. 2. There are no significant opinion differences regarding with problems of suicide related to the place of birth and growth (between the urban and rural areas). 3. Differences of opinions about the suicide problems related to the place of schooling appeared in the suicidal time between the urban and rural areas. 4. The most significant difference is noticed in the family situation (both parent alive or one parent) 5. Differences related to father's occupation (salarymen, liberal business men and others) revealed only one item of suicide related to life insurance. There many differences related to mother's occupation(salarid woman, liberal business woman and housewife) especially the highest on the time of suicide. 6. There are considerable difference among Roman Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists and who are not affiliated to any kind of religion. There are significant difference between the group of Roman Catholics and Protestants and group of Buddhists and those who are not affiliated to any kind of religion.
INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USING GIS/RS TECHNOLOGIES

There has been continuous efforts to manage water resources for the required water quality criterion at river channel in Korea. However, we could obtain the partial improvement only for the point sources such as, waste waters from urban and factory site through the water quality management. Therefore, it is strongly needed that the best management practice throughout the river basin fur water quality management including non-point sources pollutant loads. This problem should be resolved by recognizing the non-point sources pollutant loads from the upstream river basin to the outlet of the basin depends on the landuse and soil type characteristics of the river basin using the computer simulation by a distributed model based on the detailed investigation and application of Geographic Information System (GIS). The purpose of this study is consisted of the three major distributions, which are the investigation of spread non-point sources pollutants throughout the river basin, development of the base maps to represent and interpret the input and outputs of the distributed simulation model, and prediction of non-point sources pollutant loads at the outlet of a up-stream river basin using Agricultural Non-Point Sources Model (AGNPS). For the validation purpose, the Seom-Jin River basin was selected with two flood events in 1998. The results of this application showed that the use of combined a distributed model and an application of GIS was very effective fur the best water resources and quality management practice throughout the river basin

The Sustainable Water Resources Research Center (SWRRC) was established to manage water resources in an integrated manner and has been supported as a part of the 21st Frontier Research and Development Program by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and Ministry of Construction and Transportation since August 2001. The mission of the SWRRC is to cope with future water shortage problems through development and implementation of technologies of integrated water resources management. This mission ultimately aims at improving of living standards of human being, which is one of the major goals of the 21st Frontier Research and Development Program. The project is conducted by three phases. Duringthe first phase (2001. 8 ~ 2004. 6), the majority of funding is used for development of core and supporting technologies. In the second phase (2004. 7 ~ 2007. 6), with the core and supporting technologies financed continuously, the fund will be usedon different parts of studies in terms of sectors, subjects and integrated researches, and the rest of the fund (50%) will go toward implementation combined with business in the form of providing technologies. In the final phase (2007. 7 ~ 2011. 6), 30% of the fund will be used to integrate developed systems and 70% will be spent on implementation for selected areas to which newly developed technologies will be applied. Project Management System for Water resources R&D is cost-effective and well fitted system by resolving many kind of problems facing such a large research and development program considering limited manager.
