      • Silica 및 고체시료의 적외선 스펙트럼을 위한 Silicon Wafer 기술

        The silicon wafer is chemically stable below 800℃and not significantly oxidized below the temperature to be penetrable to the beam of infrared. The infrared absorption bands of silica were observed at 1090㎝^-1 (band1), 805㎝^-1(band2), 470㎝^-1(band3). The band 1 and 2 were assigned to the asymmetric and symmetric stretching vibration, and the band 3 was assigned to the Si-O bending vibration of SiO_2 The Si-O absorption bands on the infrared spectra were shifted to higher frequency according to the increase of oxygen ratio in the silica. The silicon wafer technique for the gas adsorption studies had advantage on getting sharper absorption of the brittle mineral samples, the water soluble polymer samples, and the efflorescent samples which were unable to be self-supported. Besides, this technique was effectively applicable to the samples such as copper sulfate which easily react with KBr.

      • γ-Fe_2O_3 의 製造 및 磁氣特性

        In case of the γ-Fe_2O_3 preparation, pH of the Fe(OH)_2 solution and oxidation temperature of the FeO(OH) which was influenced on the magnetic properties of the γ-Fe_2O_3 has been investigated. The magnetic properties of these samples were measured with self-made magnetic hysteresis loop tracer. The formation of compound γ-Fe_2O_3 has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction. It was obtained that the preparing conditions of γ-Fe_2O_3 were about pH 10 of Fe(OH)_2 solution and oxidation temperature 300℃ of FeO(OH). The purity of this sample was obtained about 95%. The saturation magnetization(Ms) and the coecive force (Hc) are found to be varied with pH and oxidation temperature, and the maximum value of Ms, 68 emu/gr, and of Hc, 140 Oe, are obtained at pH 10 and oxidation temperature 300℃.

        Alumina extraction technique was developed by treating Bauxite and waste Ziegler-Natta catalyst with 3N~10 N NaOH Solution. Reaction times from 2hrs to 24hrs were compared with the amount of alumina recovered after CO_2 gas neutralization. About 50% of alumina were extracted out from the samples by treating 6~7 N NaOH for 10 hours. This low concentrated NaOH solution technique was very effective for little quantity production of alumina with relatively simple reaction facilities. And this method was definately good for the better recovery of NaOH, and for the raw material such as waste Ziegler-Natta Catalyst.

        The scalp is a unique structure. The outer three layers of the scalp are quite independent of the skull. They are intimately fused together and move over the skull as a unit with the contraction of the associated frontalis and occipitalis muscles. The major blood supply and nerves enter the scalp from the periphery. These vessels traverse through the subcutaneous tissue and anastomose freely throughout the scalp. Following a loss of the scalp, usually, The periosteum is intact and lends itself well to the application of intermediate-thickness split thickness skin grafts. But full-thickness defects involving loss of all layers down to and including the periosteum are more difficult problems. Necrosis and sequestration are probable if the calvarium is deprived of its periosteal blood supply. If the outer table of the skull is bared of periosteum, a split graft will not take and should not be attempted. An old, but well coven technique, involves the removal of the outer table of the skull, exposing the well-vascularized diploe¨. A craniotome and sharp osteotome are used to remove the entire outer table of the skull in an area in which full-thickness scalp has been lost. This area will then accept a split-thickness skin graft immediately. Ilematomas and subsequent loss of graft are not infrequent, however, if the graft is placed immediately. Another method that can be used is the employment of small drill holes placed close together, approximately 1cm apart, through the outer table down into the dipolic spaces. Usually granulation tissue will come up through these small holes and spread out over the bone and give satisfactory granulation tissue for support of a split thickness skin graft in about one month. Applying a splitthickness skin graft directly on bone does not give the optimum results. Many times these are unstable and, because of the shearing effect of the skin from bone, breakdowns occur frequently over a period of many years. So, every attempt should be made to restore physiologic and esthetic integrity to the scalp by covering the denuded areas with appropriate tissue. Use of local flaps is the best method to achieve that. The scalp flaps contain skin, subcutaneous tissue, and galea mobilized in one layer. Rotation flaps, transposition flaps, bipedicle flaps and multiple flap techniques are commonly used techniques for scalp reconstruction. The number and combination of flaps for correction of defects challenge the surgeon's creativity. We have good result using the methods of scalp transposition flap and Orticochea three flap technique for repair of full-thickness scalp defects, Therefore, we present our experiences and the advantages of these techniques are described.

      • 한국 남자 중·고등학교 체력검사를 위한 준거지향기준 설정

        The purpose of this study was to establish Criterion-Referenced Standards(CRS) of the Korean Youth Fitness Test for the male middle and high school students. The subjects of this study were 50 physical educators and 1,000 male students. CRS were established by using judgemental, empirical, normative, and mixed methods. The results were as follows; 1) CRS by using judgemental method were higher than CRS by using the different methods and judgemental CRS among physical educators were variable which was considered as arbitrary CRS. 2) CRS by using empirical method were lower than CRS by using different methods, and validity indices of empirical criterion were low, too. 3) CRS by using normative method were lower than CRS by using judgemental method and higher than CRS by using empirical method in middle school, and as high as CRS by using judgemental method in high school. 4) Among three national norms of Korea, Japan, and U.S.A., Japan's norms which are very similar to Korea's normas were higher than the U.S.A.'s. The norms based on the Korean youth fitness were similar to the norms of Japan but higher than the norms of U.S.A.. were the lowest, and those of Korea were lower than those of Japan.

        In The general enhancement and the wide diffusion of technologies in manufacturing products has made a great change in evaluating distintiveness of a product from a functional point of view to a communicational one. Teenagers consumers are ready to play more for the mental value of a product than for its practical value these days. It is a time of communication between consumers and products. Most of the marketing tools are concentrated on how to draw consumers' attention, how to start their communication with products, how to prolong their communication and how to induce their next communication. Of late, characters started to be noted as one of the most effective media to enhance the quality of communication between products and Teenagers. Original features of characters such as eye-catching power, story-telling expressions, incitation of imagination, etc. are regarded as key elements to get the communication started. In the Krean market as well as in the global market, character merchandising has become common in promoting teenagers' products.

      • Milton의 Paradise Lost 연구 : Standing Only의 주제를 중심으로

        Milton was not only a great poet most sensitively responding to the 17th century English Revolution, but also a passionate Puritan poet. After the Restoration (1660), he thought England was in the new dark age. In 1667 he wrote the great epic, Paradise Lost, which intended to 'justify the ways of God to men.' Paradise Lost is filled with 'standing' images by which we can easily approach to Milton's telos in the poem. And focusing the matter how the tradition of Christianity, one of the sources of western civilization, relates to Paradise Lost, is necessary to touch the core of the work of art. Anyway, Paradise Lost is still helpful to moral endurance of modern readers, their genuine wisdom and so forth.

      • 외측 승모근 근피판에 관한 연구

        Surgical treatment of the defects of the head and neck has improved with advances in the reconstructive techniques especially myocutaneous flaps. Among various myocutaneous flaps, the trapezius myocutaneous flap, which is better known in Argentina by the creator's name i. e. , Demergasso's flap, is formed by the upper and medial portions of the trapezius muscle and an island of the overlying skin of the shoulder. The only significant blood supply for the trapezius musele is provided by the transverse cervical artery most commonly originating from the thyrocervical trunk. It then crosses anterior to the brachial plexus and anterior scalene muscle, crossing above the clavicle, lateral to the border of the levator scapulae muscle, finally dividing into a ascending and a descending branch. Prominent perforating vcssels from the ascending branch extend onto the skin over the acromioclavicular joint. The lateral trapezius myocutaneous flap includes the skin island and the lateral trapezius muscle supplied by the ascending branch of the transverse cervical artery. Defects of the oral cavity, oropharynx, hypopharynx, and skin of the head and neck can be repaired with this versatile flap in a single operative procedure and the flap can be satisfactorily used in patients who have previously received radiation therapy. The trapezius muscle is used to cover and protect the carotid arteries and to add bulk and contour to a dissected neck. We succefully treated the verrucous carcinoma of the tongue and hypopharyngo-cutaneous fistula using lateral trapezius mycoutaneous flap.

      • 電子線으로 照射된 低密度 Polyethylene의 電氣電導度와 溫度特性

        Conductivity in polyethylene has been investigated as the applied electric fields between 1.1×10 exp (4) and 2.5×10 exp (5)V/㎝ and temperature from 20℃ to 105℃. The comparative analysis of the theory with the experiment results were tried on the assumption that the current is composed of electrons injected into sample which contains space charge over the Schottky barrier. From the results a rough estimate was made of the density of traps in irradiated polyethylene and the activation energy, which could be calculated from the temperature dependence of electrical conductivities of polyethylene irradiated with 10^8rad electron beam, were obtained 0.28eV and 1.06eV.
