An Improved SOM Based Surface Texture Synthesis

This paper proposed a new method for surface texture synthesis using improved self-organizing maps as the synthesis logic. The method will first loop map the sample image to the target surface until the surface is full filled, then construct a improved self-organizing maps model, in which use sample image as the input level and the target three-dimensional surface as out put level, to adjust the pixel position in target surface, and the mapping area is controlled in the neighborhood of local extremum by reducing search area of variables. The new algorithm not only speed up the synthesis progress, and also enhances the image quality of target surface texture, and compare with the previous algorithm, it is not necessary for the user’s intervention. Compared with previous results for the proof of our concepts, we have successfully implemented the experimental results and the proposed algorithm.
Developing a Dwarf Echinacea purpurea Line by Suppressing DWF3 Expression via RNA Interference

DWARF3 (DWF3) is a brassinosteroid (BR) biosynthesis-related enzyme that catalyzes the C-3 oxidation of early BR intermediates. For the first time, we isolated the EpDWF3 gene from Echinacea purpurea . EpDWF3 shares high homology with At CYP90A1 and Ze CPD1, a steroid 23-alpha-hydroxylase involved in the BR-biosynthetic pathway. We generated transgenic Echinacea plants via transformation with an RNA interference (RNAi) construct that expresses hairpin double-stranded RNA for EpDWF3 to induce sequence-specific RNA silencing. The transgenic plants displayed dwarf phenotypes, including reduced plant height and small flower diameter. We confirmed the presence of the RNAi construct in the transgenic plants by genomic DNA PCR. The transcript level of EpDWF3 decreased by 48% in the transgenic plants compared to wild type. Our results indicate that the knock-down of BR biosynthesis-related genes by RNAi enables the production of valuable dwarf plants for commercial horticultural or agricultural applications.

With reference to the characteristics of online supply chain finance, this paper establishes a credit rating index system for the loan enterprise in the online supply chain finance that is based on the third-party B2B e-commerce platform. The system applies the multi-level gray evaluation model based on the Theil index to make a comprehensive evaluation on the credit of the loan enterprise and tests the model’s feasibility through the analyses of numerical example. The evaluation model overcomes the subjectivity of weight distribution to index and presents the degree (from excellent to poor) of indices on each hierarchy distinctly so as to enable banks to take risk control specifically in operation.

With regard to economic efficiency, composite fix beams are widely used to pass longitudinal shear forces across the interface. The current knowledge of the composite beam load-slip activity and shear capability are restricted to data from measurements of push-off. Modelling and analysis of the composite beams based on Euro-code 4 regarding to shear, bending, and deflection under differing loads were carried out using Finite Element through an efficient computer simulation and the final loading and sections capacity based on the failure modes was analysed. In bending, the section potential was increased by an improvement of the strength in both steel and concrete, but the flexural and compressive resistance growth is very weak (3.2% 3.1% and 3.0%), while the strength of the concrete has increased respectively from 25 N/mm<sup>2</sup> to 30, 35, and 40 N/mm<sup>2</sup> compared to the increment of steel strength by 27% and 21% when it was raised from 275 to 355 and 460 N/mm<sup>2</sup>, respectively. It was found that the final flexural load capacity of fix beams was declined with increase in the fix beam span for both three steel strength. The shear capacity of sections was remained unchanged at constant steel strength and different length, but raised with final yield strength increment of steel sections by 29%, and 67% when it was raised from 275 N/mm<sup>2</sup> to 355 N/mm<sup>2</sup> and 460 N/mm<sup>2</sup>, respectively.

In the framework of OECD/NEA Working Group on Fuel Safety, a RIA fuel-rod-code Benchmark Phase Iwas organized in 2010e2013. It consisted of four experiments on highly irradiated fuel rodlets testedunder different experimental conditions. This benchmark revealed the need to better understand thebasic models incorporated in each code for realistic simulation of the complicated integral RIA tests withhigh burnup fuel rods. A second phase of the benchmark (Phase II) was thus launched early in 2014,which has been organized in two complementary activities: (1) comparison of the results of differentsimulations on simplified cases in order to provide additional bases for understanding the differences inmodelling of the concerned phenomena; (2) assessment of the uncertainty of the results. The presentpaper provides a summary and conclusions of the second activity of the Benchmark Phase II, which isbased on the input uncertainty propagation methodology. The main conclusion is that uncertaintiescannot fully explain the difference between the code predictions. Finally, based on the RIA benchmarkPhase-I and Phase-II conclusions, some recommendations are made.

In the paper, approximate ready trace equivalence for differential semi-algebraic hybrid system is proposed. The equivalence can be used to optimize differential semialgebraic hybrid system. The Concept is proposed on the basis of concrete process algebra and numerical analysis theory. In the approximate ready trace equivalence definition, we consider a cut operator for a polynomial and partial approximation for polynomial. Then we get a strict equivalence between two polynomials. Its advantage is that the new polynomial approximation method overcomes the drawback that traditional approximation method is not transitive, which can be used for automatic reasoning. In order to judge the two differential semi-algebraic hybrid system is equivalent, the axiom system for the approximate ready trace equivalence of differential semi-algebraic hybrid system is presented. This axiom system is a complete axiom system.
