        중국 그린뉴딜 정책의 탐색적 연구

        Hong Chen(Hong Chen),박상도(Sang-Do Park) 한국비교정부학회 2023 한국비교정부학보 Vol.27 No.1

(Purpose) China's new infrastructure construction is an important policy that is strongly promoted for new sustainable development in the post-COVID-19 era. China is expected to make a new leap in line with issues such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution technology and environmental protection, and cooperation and competition between Korea and China are inevitable in this field. Through analyzing this policy indicator system, Korea should establish a strategy for cooperation with China. (Design/methodology/approach) In order to analyze China's new infrastructure construction policy, we organize detailed indicators to supplement existing macroscopic studies. In particular, detailed strategies of various industries are analyzed considering the universality of policy and the region's specificity. In addition, cases of key propulsion industries in each region are analyzed. (Findings) China's new infrastructure construction is a “1+N” strategy that combines central macroeconomic policies and local diversification strategies. At the same time, it is equipped with different indicator systems and goals/strategies according to differences in regional resources, existing industries, demographic structure, and soft power. (Research implications or Originality) Korea's New Deal policy is expected to cooperate with and compete with China. Through the new infrastructure construction policy indicator, we should focus on creating technological cooperation and common global standards for the IT-based industry, aerospace industry, and high-tech manufacturing industry that China is promoting.

      • Hypermethylation and Clinicopathological Significance of RASAL1 Gene in Gastric Cancer

Chen, Hong,Pan, Ying,Cheng, Zheng-Yuan,Wang, Zhi,Liu, Yang,Zhao, Zhu-Jiang,Fan, Hong Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.11

Background: Recent studies have suggested that expression of the RAS protein activator like-1 gene (RASAL1) is decreased in gastric carcinoma tissues and cell lines, indicated a role in tumorigenesis and development of gastric cancer. Reduced expression of RASAL1 could result in aberrant increase of activity of RAS signaling pathways in cancer cells. However, the exact mechanism which induces down-regulation of the RASAL1 gene remains unclear. This study aimed to determine the methylation status and regulation of RASAL1 in gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: Using the methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (MSP), the methylation status of CpG islands in the RASAL1 promoter in gastric cancers and paired adjacent non-cancerous tissues from 40 patients was assessed and its clinicopathological significance was analyzed. The methylation status of RASAL1 in gastric cancer lines MKN-28, SGC-790l, BGC-823, as well as in normal gastric epithelial cell line GES-l was also determined after treatment with a DNA methyltransferase inhibitor, 5-aza-2'-doexycytidine (5-Aza-CdR). RAS activity (GAS-GTP) was assessed through a pull-down method, while protein levels of ERK1/2, a downstream molecule of RAS signaling pathways, were determined by Western blotting. Results: The frequencies of RASAL1 promoter methylation in gastric cancer and paired adjacent non-cancerous tissues were 70% (28/40) and 30% (12/40) respectively (P<0.05). There were significantly correlations between RASAL1 promoter methylation with tumor differentiation, tumor size, invasive depth and lymph node metastasis in patients with gastric cancer (all P<0.05), but no correlation was found for age or gender. Promoter hypermethylation of the RASAL1 gene was detected in MKN-28, SGC-790l and BGC-823 cancer cells, but not in the normal gastric epithelial cell line GES-1. Elevated expression of the RASAL1 protein, a decreased RAS-GTP and p-ERK1/2 protein were detected in three gastric cancer cell lines after treatment with 5-Aza-CdR. Conclusions: Aberrant hypermethylation of the RASAL1 gene promoter frequently occurs in gastric cancer tissues and cells. In addition, the demethylating agent 5-Aza-CdR can reverse the hypermethylation of RASAL1 gene and up-regulate the expression of RASAL1 significantly in gastric cancer cells in vivo. Our study suggests that RASAL1 promoter methylation may have a certain relationship with the reduced RASAL1 expression in gastric cancer.

Ginsenoside Ro, an oleanolic saponin of Panax ginseng, exerts antiinflammatory effect by direct inhibiting toll like receptor 4 signaling pathway

        Hong-Lin Xu,Guang-Hong Chen,Yu-Ting Wu,Ling-Peng Xie,Zhang-Bin Tan,Bin Liu,Hui-Jie Fan,Hong-Mei Chen,Gui-Qiong Huang,Min Liu,Ying-Chun Zhou 고려인삼학회 2022 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.46 No.1

Background: Panax ginseng Meyer (P. ginseng), a herb distributed in Korea, China and Japan, exerts benefits on diverse inflammatory conditions. However, the underlying mechanism and active ingredients remains largely unclear. Herein, we aimed to explore the active ingredients of P. ginseng against inflammation and elucidate underlying mechanisms. Methods: Inflammation model was constructed by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in C57BL/6 mice and RAW264.7 macrophages. Molecular docking, molecular dynamics, surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRi) and immunofluorescence were utilized to predict active component. Results: P. ginseng significantly inhibited LPS-induced lung injury and the expression of proinflammatory factors, including TNF-a, IL-6 and IL-1b. Additionally, P. ginseng blocked fluorescence-labeled LPS (LPS488) binding to the membranes of RAW264.7 macrophages, the phosphorylation of nuclear factor-kB (NF-kB) and mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs). Furthermore, molecular docking demonstrated that ginsenoside Ro (GRo) docked into the LPS binding site of toll like receptor 4 (TLR4)/myeloid differentiation factor 2 (MD2) complex. Molecular dynamic simulations showed that the MD2-GRo binding conformation was stable. SPRi demonstrated an excellent interaction between TLR4/MD2 complex and GRo (KD value of 1.16 × 10-9 M). GRo significantly inhibited LPS488 binding to cell membranes. Further studies showed that GRo markedly suppressed LPS-triggered lung injury, the transcription and secretion levels of TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-1β. Moreover, the phosphorylation of NF-kB and MAPKs as well as the p65 subunit nuclear translocation were inhibited by GRo dose-dependently. Conclusion: Our results suggest that GRo exerts anti-inflammation actions by direct inhibition of TLR4 signaling pathway.

      • HCI and Future Community Library Services: A Comprehensive Study on Connectivity, Responsiveness, and Controllability

        Hong Chen,Xie Chen,Younghwan Pan 한국HCI학회 2024 한국HCI학회 학술대회 Vol.2024 No.1

This study investigates the impact of Human-Computer Interaction experience (HCI EXP) on residents intention to borrow from community libraries by HCI. Examining factors like Connectivity, Responsiveness, and Controllability, our findings reveal positive associations. However, the study suggests that the research on residents borrowing intention in HCI models is insufficient and calls for further exploration, incorporating qualitative methods. As community libraries evolve into intelligent hubs, the government and community managers should prioritize enhancing HCI experiences, emphasizing Connectivity(CON), Responsiveness(RSP), and Controllability(CTL), thus advancing smart public cultural services in the era of intelligent cities.

A preparation and performance study of glass-ceramic glazes derived from blast furnace slag and fly ash

        Hong-xia Lu,Man He,Yuan-yuan Liu,Jing-fei Guo,Li-wei Zhang,Deliang Chen,Hai-long Wang,Hong-liang Xu,Rui Zhang 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2011 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.12 No.5

Glass-ceramic glazes have been prepared successfully via crystallization from blast-furnace slag (BFS), fly ash (FA) fluxed with potash feldspar and borax. The crystalline behavior of glass-ceramic glazes was investigated using differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetric analysis (DTA/TG), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Results revealed that the major crystalline phases are anorthite (CaAl2Si2O8) and akermanite (Ca2MgSi2O7) and crystalline phases disperse well in glassy phases with a uniform size of 1 μm. Glass-ceramic glazes possess low density, low water absorption, perfect stain resistance, acid resistance and alkali resistance. The thermal expansion coefficient of glass-ceramic glazes is steady up to 800 oC with an average value of 7.2 × 10−6 /K. Final results suggest that BFS and FA have potential to be vitrified into economically and environmentally low-cost glass-ceramic glaze materials.

THE LINEAR 2-ARBORICITY OF PLANAR GRAPHS WITHOUT ADJACENT SHORT CYCLES

        Chen, Hong-Yu,Tan, Xiang,Wu, Jian-Liang Korean Mathematical Society 2012 대한수학회보 Vol.49 No.1

Let G be a planar graph with maximum degree $\Delta$. The linear 2-arboricity $la_2$(G) of G is the least integer k such that G can be partitioned into k edge-disjoint forests, whose component trees are paths of length at most 2. In this paper, we prove that (1) $la_2(G){\leq}{\lceil}\frac{\Delta}{2}\rceil+8$ if G has no adjacent 3-cycles; (2) $la_2(G){\leq}{\lceil}\frac{\Delta}{2}\rceil+10$ if G has no adjacent 4-cycles; (3) $la_2(G){\leq}{\lceil}\frac{\Delta}{2}\rceil+6$ if any 3-cycle is not adjacent to a 4-cycle of G.

The Influence of Internet Use on Interpersonal Interaction among Chinese Urban Residents: The Mediating Effect of Social Identification

Chen, Hong,Qin, Jing,Li, Jing,Zheng, Guangjia Center for Asian Public Opinion ResearchCollaborat 2016 Asian journal for public opinion research Vol.3 No.2

The instability of social norms on the Internet causes the diversity of social identification. Meanwhile, the anonymity of online social identity and the chaos of the role-playing among the interacting participants cause an ambiguity of identity recognition, which intensifies anxiety about interpersonal interaction. Methods that promote face-to-face interpersonal interaction through the reconstruction of the identification to the social system and intergroup trust is worth further research. Based on a telephone survey of urban residents in thirty-six cities in China (N=1080), the study focuses on the influence of Internet use on interpersonal interaction of urban residents and the mediation effect of social identification. The results show that Internet use has a negative effect on the interpersonal interactions of urban residents, and social identification plays a mediating effect between Internet use and interpersonal interaction. Implications of the results are discussed.

IQGAP1 is overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma and promotes cell proliferation by Akt activation

Chen, Feng,Zhu, Hai-Hong,Zhou, Lin-Fu,Wu, Shan-Shan,Wang, Jing,Chen, Zhi Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Bion 2010 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.42 No.7

The scaffold protein IQGAP1 shows elevated levels in several cancer types, but its expression in hepatocellular carcinoma is unknown. We found that 58% of human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue samples had increased IQGAP1 expression compared to adjacent normal tissue. Overexpressing IQGAP1 raised the in vivo tumorigenicity of hepatocellular carcinoma cells, and forced overexpression of IQGAP1 in vitro stimulated cell proliferation. Cell growth was reduced by knockdown or mutation of IQGAP1, or by treatment of cells with a phosphotidylinositol 3-kinase inhibitor. To determine the mechanism by which IQGAP1 overexpression affected hepatocellular carcinoma cells, we confirmed its interaction in these cells with mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), a serine/threonine kinase that integrates signals about nutrient and energy status with downstream effectors that influence cell division. In addition, we discovered a new interaction involving IQGAP1, mTOR and Akt, which is a downstream target of mTOR. Akt phosphorylation on Ser-473, which is catalyzed by mTOR and required for Akt activation, increased with increasing amounts of IQGAP1, and decreased with IQGAP1 mutation. We hypothesize that IQGAP1 is a scaffold that facilitates mTOR and Akt interaction.
