        Endothelial Cells Isolated from the Bovine Corpus Luteum Synthesize Prostaglandin F<SUB>2α</SUB> Receptor

        The corpus luteum is a transient endocrine gland essential for regulation of the ovarian cycle as well as for establishing and maintaining pregnancy. Prostaglandin F2α (PGF) initiates functional and structural regression of the corpus luteum and therefore is an important regulator of the estrous cycle. It is a matter of debate whether the endothelial cells of the bovine corpus luteum express PGFR, the cognate receptor for PGF. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess the expression of PGFR in bovine endothelial cells. Endothelial cells were isolated from the bovine corpus luteum of the mid?luteal stage using magnetic beads and cultured in vitro. We demonstrate that this isolation procedure generates a pure culture of endothelial cells as confirmed by synthesis of Factor VIII and lack of expression of 3β?hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase. By RT?PCR, Western blot and immunofluorescence analyses, we further show that the cultured endothelial cells produced PGFR. This model system can be utilized to provide an experimental system to investigate the role of PGF on endothelial cells during the reproductive cycle.

        경남 고성 ‘월이’ 전설의 현장론적 분석과 향방

        이 글은 고성 지역에서 전승하는 ‘월이’ 전설을 대상으로 현장론적 분석을 통해 지역문화자원으로서의 개발 가능성을 탐구하는 데에 있다. ‘월이’ 전설의 산실인 고성은 시간과 공간을 아우르는 총체적 성격을 띤다는 점에서 전설 생성하고 자라난 지역으로서 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 전설이 생성한 시간은 임진년이고 공간은 당항포이다. 채록 마당은 당항포 인근의 몇몇 마을을 중심으로 이루어졌다. 채록 결과 집단별 차이점으로 볼 수 있는 것은 여성보다 남성 집단이 전반적으로 전설배경이 되는 역사에 관한 관심과 이해도가 높았다. ‘월이’ 전설에서 전승의 원동력은 인물의 뛰어난 행적이다. 전승 주체에 따라 당항포 해전의 역사는 두 갈래로 나눌 수 있다. 즉 기록의 역사와 기억의 역사이다. 기록의 역사에서 승리의 주인공은 이순신이다. 반면 기억의 역사에서 승리의 주인공은 ‘월이’이다. 이같이 같은 내용이더라도 전승 주체에 따라 의식이 다름을 파악할 수 있다. 최근 OSMU 시대를 맞아 설화의 가치가 새롭게 조명을 받고 있다. 질적으로 우수한 설화가 문화콘텐츠 자원으로 각광을 받고 있기 때문이다. ‘월이’ 전설도 이미 그 가치를 인정받아 소설로 창작된 상태이다. 뿐만 아니라 지역을 대표하는 문화축제로 발돋움하고 있다. 남은 과제는 ‘월이’ 전설이 지역을 대표하는 문화자원으로 인정받기 위해서 설화의 근거가 될 수 있는 지명 유래에 관한 관심을 지속적으로 가져야 할 것이다. This writing aims to explore the possibilities of development for the legend of “Wŏri” passed down through generations in the Goseong area as a local cultural resource through a field theory approach. Goseong, the cradle of the legend of “Wŏri”, has an important meaning in that it reflects a total character that spans time and space. The time for the creation of the legend is “Imjinnyeon”, the year 1592, and the space is “Danghangpo”. The recording yard was centered around several villages near Danghangpo. As a result of the recording, what can be seen from the difference between the groups is that the male group overall had a higher degree of understanding for history as a background for legends than the female group. The driving force of the legend of “Wŏri” is the outstanding achievements of the character. Depending on the main group of tradition, the history of the naval battle of Danghangpo can be divided into two directions, that is, the history of records and the history of remembrance. In the history of records, the protagonist of victory is Yi Sun-sin. On the other hand, for the people who are the main group of the history of remembrance, the protagonist of victory is “Wŏri”. In this way, even with the same content, it was understood that consciousness is different according to the main group of tradition. Recently, the value of tales has received renewed attention with the arrival of the One Source Multi Use (OSMU) age. Tales with excellent quality are attracting the spotlight as cultural contents resources. The legend of “Wŏri” has already been recognized for its value and has been created as a novel. Furthermore, it is growing as a cultural festival representing the region. The remaining task is, in order for the legend of “Wŏri” to be recognized as a cultural resource representing the region, to continuously attract interest for the origin of place name that can be the basis of the tale.

        제1형 신경섬유종증 환아의 구강내 병소의 치험례

        신경섬유종증은 상염색체 우성 유전성 질환으로,17번 염색체의 장완에 위치한 종양 억제 유전자의 변성에 의해 발생한다. 이는 두가지 형이 있으며 신경섬유종의 발생은 제1형 신경섬유종증의 임상적 진단 기준 중 하나이다. 신경섬유종증의 임상적 증상으로는 피부병소,골변형,중추신경계의 종양 등이 있으며 환자의 25%가 구강내 신경섬유종을 보인다. 악골내 신경섬유종은 드물며 방사선학적으로 하악공,하악관,이공을 포함하고 단방성으로 잘 경계된 방사선 투과성으로 나타난다. 신경섬유종은 하나 또는 그 이상의 병소에서 신경육종으로 전이된다는 점에서 임상적으로 중요하며 현재 특이한 치료법은 없으나,외과적 절제술이 좋은 치료법으로 여겨지고 있다. 본 증례는 제1형 신경섬유종증 진단을 받은 환아로,구강내 신경섬유종의 외과적 절제 후 양호한 결과를 보여 이를 보고하는 바이다. Neurofibromatosis is an autosomal dominant disorder caused by a mutation of a tumor supressor gene on the long arm of chromosome 17. There are two types of neurofibromatosis, and development of neurofibroma is one of clinical diagnostic criteria for neurofibromatosis. The clinical signs of neurofibromatosis include as skin lesions, bone deformities, and tumors involving central nervous system. About 25% of neurofibromatosis involves oral neurofibroma. Radiographically, oral neurofibroma is well-defined unilocular radiolucency, which involves mandibular canal, mandibular foramen and mental foramen. When a lesion is small and approachable, complete resection, including lcm of marginal connective tissue, is feasible. However, there are studies reporting that the recurrence rate after surgical resection is high and frequent recurrence may even increase the risk of malignant transformation. This case reports a patient with neurofibromatosis type I, accompanying oral neurofibroma, who shows a favorable result after surgical resection of the oral lesion.

        Chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process has been widely used to planarize dielectric layers, which can be applied to the integrated circuits for sub-micron technology. Despite the increased use of CMP process, it is difficult to accomplish the global planarization of in the defect-free inter-level dielectrics (ILD). We investigated the performance of WO₃ CMP used silica slurry, ceria slurry, tungsten slurry. In this paper, the effects of addition oxidizer on the WO₃ CMP characteristics were investigated to obtain the higher removal rate and lower non-uniformity.

      • CMP 실리카 슬러리 노화 현상에 대한 연구

        As the integrated circuit device shrinks to the smaller dimension, the chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process was required for the global planarization of inter-metal dielectric (IMD) layer with free-defect. However, as the IMD layer gets thinner, micro-scratches are becoming as major defects. Micro-scratches are generated by agglomerated slurry, solidified and attached slurry in pipe line of slurry supply system. It is well known that the presence of hard and larger size particles in the CMP slurries increases the defect density and surface roughness of the polished wafers. In this paper, we have studied aging effect the of CMP slurry as a function of particle size. We prepared and compared the self-developed silica slurry by adding of abrasives before and after annealing. As our preliminary experiment results, we could be obtained the relatively stable slurry characteristics comparable to original silica slurry in the slurry aging effect.

      • DirectX 기반 다채널 영상 감시 시스템 구현 및 성능분석

        Multichannel visual monitoring systems such as DVR (Digital video Recording System)s have to process video data steams which are characterized by their large volume of data and their continuous time properties. Thus, multichannel visual monitoring systems may not show satisfactory performances in display, recording, retrieval and playback of video data if one does not design the architecture of S/W precessing of video data streams efficiently. Microsoft Windows environments provide DirectX for efficent processing of multimedia streams. One additional advantage of DirectX is that many commercial and open source multimedia CODECs support DirectX. Thus, if one applies DirectX technology in windows based multichannel visual monitoring systems, one may achieve performance gains and flexibility in the choice of video compression CODECs. In this paper, we present a multichannel monitoring system efficiently designed based upon DirectX. Improvement of performances in respect of speed in display, recording, retrieval and playback of video data is analyzed and verified through experiments.

      • 영상 감시 시스템에서의 개선된 Tearing 현상 방지 디스플레이 시스템

        In display systems employing an analog monitor, the tearing artifact such that an window screen is divided into two parts showing different scenes can occur when the change of scenes in the moving pictures is very fast, but the frame buffer's refresh rate does not match the monitor's scanning frequency. In the DVR system, a recently popularized visual monitoring system, the tearing artifacts becomes more serious since the frame buffer's refresh rate is vey high due to the requirement of multi-channel display. In this paper, we propose an improved display system for windows-based DVR systems which prevents the tearing artifacts without daterioration of display speed perfromance. The efficiency of the proposed display system is verfied through experiments.

        당뇨병성 신증 환자 20예에서 복합한약전탕액이 신기능에 미치는 영향

        Diabetic Nephropathy is one of the major causes of chronic renal failure. It is a common microvascular complication and clinically defined as the presence of persistent Proteinuria. We studied the effects and change of the renal function of Complex Herbal medication of the 20Diabetic Nephropathy patients. We measured the initial levels of Total Protein, Creatinine Clearance Rate(Ccr), Serum Creatinine(Serum-Cr), Urine Creatinine(Urine-Cr) and HbA1C on admission and followed up the level changes of Total Protein, Ccr, Serum-Cr and Urine-Cr on discharge. The results are following : Complex Herbal Medication does not cause the renal toxicity. The longer hypertension period is, the higher Serum-Cr level and Urine-Cr level. In an older age group, Urine-Cr is lower. 4.From the "Deficiency in Origin and Excess in Superficiality(本虛表實)“points of view, Complex Herbal Medication improves the Serum-Cr in Diabetic Nephropathy patients. According to this results, it could be suggested that Complex Herbal Medication does not cause the renal toxicity in Diabetic Nephropathy patients and intensive controls of blood sugar, blood pressure and Complex Herbal Medication prevent the renal failure in Diabetic Nephropathy patients with early stage of Microalbumiuria.
