A Supportable Format for Attribute Based Encryption in Cloud Computing
George,Salu 한국유통과학회 2019 KODISA ICBE (International Conference on Business Vol.2019 No.-
Cloud Computing is used for enabling convenient, on-demand network to access shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g. Networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) which are rapidly provisioned and released with management effort or service provider interaction. Cloud technology allows for much more efficient computing by centralizing storage, memory, processing and bandwidth. The security is the major issue in the cloud computing. The issue is overcome by the encryption. The various encryption standards ensure the cloud security. Attribute-based encryption (ABE) is a vision of public key encryption that allows users to encrypt and decrypt messages based on user attributes. In a typical implementation, the size of the cipher text is proportional to the number of attributes associated with it and the decryption time is proportional to the number of attributes used during decryption To reduce the decryption time in outsourced encryption method the user provides a transformation key to the cloud to translate any ABE cipher text into simple cipher text and it only incurs a small computational overhead for the user to recover the plaintext from the transformed cipher text. The proposed system introduces the Verifiable Outsourced Encryption so that the user can check the correctness of the transformation performed by the cloud server and the user let to know the data is not modified by the untrusted servers.
Diverse Nation, Diverse Curriculum: Multicultural Education in Canada’s Public Schools
George H. Richardson(George H. Richardson ),Saearm Yi(Saearm Yi),Monica Chahal(Monica Chahal ) 한국캐나다학회 2016 Asia-Pacific Journal of Canadian Studies (APJCS) Vol.22 No.1
Multicultural education has been an integral component of Canadian public education for more than 40 years. As might be expected with any element of public education that is more than 4 decades old, the nature and intent of multicultural education in Canada has evolved over time and has become a mirror of the changing ways in which Canada has imagined its increasingly diverse population and its national identity, In this paper, we examine multicultural education in three particular aspects. First, we describe the social and political context of multiculturalism in Canada. Second, we focus on multicultural education in provincial curriculum with special emphasis on the province of Alberta, and finally, we take up the more recent shift in multicultural education that suggests that the discipline can be viewed as a form of citizenship education. In our conclusion we touch briefly on education in Korea to return to the idea that national contexts have a significant influence on the ways in which multicultural education is understood and delivered.
Consistency and Vote Buying: Income, Education, and Attitudes about Vote Buying in Indonesia
George Ikbal Tawakkal,Wisnu Suhardono,Andrew D. Garner,Thomas Seitz 동아시아연구원 2017 Journal of East Asian Studies Vol.17 No.3
This article examines ambivalence—the simultaneous holding of two or more conflicting values or beliefs about a political issue—among Indonesian citizens’ attitudes about vote buying. Using an original survey taken during the 2014 Indonesian elections, we analyze the factors related both to citizens’ normative views about vote buying and their willingness to accept gifts from candidates. A large number of citizens demonstrate ambivalence by viewing the practice as unjustified or corrupt and yet expressing willingness to accept money from candidates. We also examine the differential effects of education and income on these attitudes. Consistent with “demand side” theories of vote buying, low income creates economic pressure to accept money but does not influence normative attitudes about vote buying. Education, however, has a broader effect by influencing both normative attitudes and willingness to accept money. We consider implications of these results for Indonesian officials focused on reducing vote-buying behavior.
Baseball 4 All: Providing Inclusive Spaces for Persons with Disabilities
George B. Cunningham,Stacy Warner 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2019 Journal of Global Sport Management Vol.4 No.4
The purpose of this study was to examine the factors that influenced participation in a community program designed to enhance leisure participation among children and young adults with disabilities. The authors grounded their work in a sport development framework and recent work on inclusive and socially just leisure. Participants in the qualitative study included seven coaches from a baseball league designed to deliver sport opportunities for persons with both physical and intellectual disabilities. Results showed that Inclusiveness and Joy were fundamental at the recruitment stage. Organization Failure, which was the dominant theme throughout the data set, emerged at what should have been the retention stage. The authors discuss implications for providing inclusive leisure spaces for persons with disabilities.

With Australia’s population set to triple in the twenty-first century, its federal government is investing in decentralization. This is because Australian states exhibit high urban primacy, where one city is dominantly large. Institutional perspectives of primacy suggest political factors are usually significant drivers. For example, strong localism and decentralized settlement patterns are usually concomitant whilst the same can be said of centralized governance and primacy. It is unclear how institutions might influence primacy in Australia’s large states. To better understand, we contextualize Australian federalism within the primacy debate. Using eighteen measures of intergovernmental power, we determined that the Australian federation is comprised of comparably strong federal and state tiers, underlaid by weak local and regional government. The results suggest primacy in Australian states is reinforced by institutions, contrasting the universality of environmental determinism and suggesting an opportunity to decentralize Australia’s growing population through the devolution of decision making powers.

The optimization of culture conditions is a necessary step in biosynthesis after an expression system has been designed. This ensures that engineered microbes utilize media efficiently and ensure the healthy balance between cell growth and high expression of recombinant protein. Green fluorescence protein (GFP) was used as a reporter gene and is not toxic to the cell, however, viral fusion peptide is known to be toxic to cell growth. In this study, we determine the culture conditions (temperature and shaking speed) which will result in optimal GFP and FP expression with high protein yield without compromising cell growth. Of the cultures studied, three batches harbored the single-plasmid co-expression system, three had the double-plasmid co-expression system and the other two served as control. Five temperature and shaking conditions were evaluated. The combination of 200 rpm and 37 ℃ gave the highest protein yield and fluorescence, however, this condition is not conducive because high expression temperatures may lead to misfolded inclusion bodies and increased proteolysis. Though 130 rpm / 23 ℃ is conducive for protein production, it gave lower fluorescence. Optimum cell growth and protein concentration patterns resulted from 170 rpm / 28 ℃ and was the most suitable out of the methods tested for dual expression of GFP and FP both in single- and double-plasmid co-expression systems.
