        For many years, hoteliers has manipulated both room rates and occupancies to maximize sales revenue. Yield management(YM) involves adjusting room rates in response to the level of rooms booked for future arrival dates. There are a few problems in applying YM to the Korean hotel businesses. First there is the lack of understanding fully the concept of YM. Second they emphasize myopic forecasting strategy without building a YM culture. And the emphases on information technology fails to acknowledge how important are the organizational elements of a YM system. In addition, there has been little research on how well Korean hotel industry prepares the foundations for employing the technique of yield management. At present, there is little information available to identify both if Korean hotel practitioners fully understand the concept of YM and what kinds of problems they have in applying YM to their businesses. The major purpose of this study is to identify the above mentioned questions. This research involved a study of front office practitioners of Five-Star hotels in Seoul. The findings drawn from this study leads to the conclusion that Korean hotel industry needs to build the YM-oriented culture in order to apply YM to its business successfully. The problem studied in this paper focused on the need to provide a foundation that enables the middle managers to employ YM techniques. It was found that the hotels fail to acknowledge how important are the organizational elements of a YM, such as communication, top management's commitment, performance evaluation, and training. The results of not understanding the full picture of YM are found to be interdepartmental conflict, short-term gains at the expense of long-term business, and high levels of employee stress. To evade these negative effects, a hotel should build a strong culture of YM.

      • 慶尙大學生의 就業 活性化 方案

        The object of this study is to find and present an activated strategies for the employment of the students of Gyeonsang University. The main problems on the base of the ideas, the needs, and the objects of this study are ; 1)How has the present condition for the recommendations and student's employments of Gyeongsang University been for recent 5 years ? 2)How are their opinions related to the emloyments for the students of '95? 3)How are their opinions and experiences for the employments of the graduates? 4)How are the managers' opinions for the employments of the graduates? 5)How are the parents' opinions for the employments of the students? The based materials of this study used in order to solve the above problems are the ones of thE recommendation and employment for recent 5 years. 1) The students for questions collected of this investigation are 304 students for 76 departments of our colleges in Gyeonsang University. 2)100 graduates from this university during recent 5 years(including assistant professors). 3)100 personnel managers in companies or institutions for employing the graduates of this university. 4)100 students' parents of this university(including some professors in Gyeongsang University). The first step for the accomplishment of this study is to analyse the state of employments for recent 5 years. The second step is to analyse their consciousness for the development of the course or the employment of the graduates of Gyeongsang University. The third step is for the presentation and the solution to a concrete program for the high employment rate based on the 1st and 2nd step. If the active programs are presented on the base in some results of this investigation study, the period of the preparation for the employment, in the consideration of the period for the over-supply and over-demand plan is thought good to be start from the first term of junior. The best plans for preparation of individuals are that they should have the abilities of foreign language and common sense, control training of their personalities and attitudes, put the imformation materials to practical use, and discuss their matters with their olders or their professors. As the graduates of the local university, they had better choose the educational institutions, government offices, goverment enterprises, in consideration of the preference of a university of high reputation of large enterprise, scarcity of job information, and the problems of employment structures. They need to try to get their jobs about 3 times. In the case of the boy students, they need to challenge to get favorite jobs to their tastes. The authority of the university should try to provide them with much job information, training for their certifications, reinforcement of their major subjects, presonality, correction of their attitudes, and management of the program development education, making and putting public materials to use, and the support of the professors, employment, etc.

      • InSb 결정 성장과 특성에 관한 연구

        직접천이형 에너지갭(0.17eV)을 갖는 III-V족 2원 화합물 반도체인 InSb를 수직 브리지만법으로 성장시켜 전기-자기적 특성과 Zn의 확산성질을 조사하였다. 결정 성장속도는 1mm/hr 였으며, 성장된 결정의 격자상수 ao는 6.4863A 이었다. 불순물을 첨가하지 않은 InSb 결정의 전도형은 n형이었고, 실온에서 캐리어 농도는 2∼6×10^16㎝^-3 이었으며 캐리어 이동도는 6∼2×10^4㎝^2/V·sec 이었다. 자계를 인가하지 않았을때에 비하여 자기저항은 71.4% 증가하였고 자계가 증가할수록 자기저항은 증가하였다. 또한, 홀전압은 자계의 세기가 증가할수록 증가하였으며 10K gauss에서 36.3mV이었다. InSb 내에서 Zn의 확산깊이는 확산시간의 제곱근에 비례하여 증가하였으며, Zn가 확산하는데 필요한 활성화에너지는 0.67eV이었고 확산계수의 온도의존성은 D=4.25×10^-3 exp(-0.67 /K_BT) 이었다. Binary compound semiconductor InSb crystal which has direct-transition energy gap (0.17eV) was grown by vertical Bridgman method, then the electric-magnetic and Zn diffusion properties of InSb crystal were surveyed. The growth rate of the crystals was 1mm/hr and the lattice constant a_0 of the grown crystal was 6.4863Å. The undoped InSb crystal was n-type, the electron concentration and the electron mobility were 2~6×10^16㎝^-3 and 6~2×10^4㎝^2/V·sec at room temperature, respectively. The magnetoresistance was increased 71.4% as compared with non-applied magnetic field and the magnetoresistance was increased with increasing the magnetic field. Also, the Hall voltage was increased with increasing the magnetic field and Hall voltage was 36.3mV at 10K gauss. The diffusion depth of Zn into InSb proportionally increased with the square root of diffusion time and the activation energy for Zn diffusion was 0.67eV. The temperature dependence of diffusion coefficient was D=4.25×10^-3exp(-0.67 /K_BT).

        According to The International Meetings Market 1991-2001, an ICCA publication, the Asia Pacific region has increased its market share of the global meetings market from three to seven percent over the past decade. Korea is looking at a seven percent increase in events business this year, as well as boosting the country into the top 15 international meetings/convention venues hosting about 200 global meetings (Union of International Association criteria) by year 2005. Accordingly the role of convention related industries is to participate the Korea Convention Fair every year and to promote aggressively themselves to government, other convention related industries and the public in order to develop the convention industry.

      • 現代共産主義의 이데올로기的 戰略 : 從屬理論의 이데올로기的 批判을 中心으로

        우리나라에 있어선 1970年代 후반기부터 上陸하기 시작하여 불과 2∼3年만인 1980年代에 와서는 學園街에 流行처럼 번져나가, 이들의 正確한 理解보다는 이들이 戰略的으로 誘導하는 과격한 言語와 革命的 行動을 구사하며 反美무드와 反資本主義的 口號가 具體化되는 등 이로 인한 問題意識이 高潮되자, 각계 각층에서 이들에 대한 관심이 높아지고, 동시에 이데올로기 批判敎育에 대한 重要性을 느끼고, 學界에서 硏究가 되기 시 작한 것은 晩時之嘆은 있으나 퍽 다행스런 일이라 하겠다. 그러나 이데올로기 敎育에 있어서 그 理解나 批判의 視角을 비롯해서 內容과 方法論 및 運營의 妙 등에 대해서는 많은 問題點들이 제기되고 있고, 學者들간의 論爭도 분분하여 說往說來하는 것은 사실이다. 따라서 本稿에서는 이러한 點에 착안하여 우선 이데올로기 批判敎育의 總論格인 重要性·本質·視角·問題點·方向 등을 밝혀 보겠으며, 이것은 어디까지나 하나의 試論으로서 提示한다는 것을 미리 밝혀둔다.

      • RLS알고리즘에 의한 MLSE의 채널추정과 등화특성

        멀티패스 페이팅 채널에서는 ISI라고 하는 시호간 간섭에 의해 선형 또는 비선형 왜곡이 일어나게 되며 이러한 왜곡된 신호를 보상하기 위한 여러 가지 등화기와 적응 알고리즘이 소개되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 멀티패스 채널에 있어서 신호왜곡의 보상방법으로서 MLSE 등화 알고리즘에서 비터비디코더의 브랜치 매트릭법의 적용방법에 따른 채널추정과 등화기의 등화 특성을 비교, 분석하였다. MLSE 알고리즘에 채용한 자승매트릭법은 non-minimum phase channel에서와 같이 열악한 채널에서 특별한 등화특성을 보인다. Intersymbol interference(ISI) are occured linearly or nonlinearly in the multipath channel and the received signals are distorted, so a variety of equalizers and algorithms are used to compensate the distorted signal in the receiver. In this paper, to compensate the distorted signal through the multipath channel, we investigate the performance characteristics of MLSE algorithm with RLS for channel estimation and equalization with branch metric(BM) methods for Viterbi decoding. The performance charactristics of MLSE algorithm with squared metric show excellent results especially for the non-minimum phase channel.

      • 기니픽에서 Kanamycin 이독성

        To evaluate experimental kanamycin - induced ototoxicity, changes of hearing loss were observed after administration of kanamycin in guinea pig, using auditory brainstem rcsponse(ABR) audiometry. Kanamycin(KM), 50mg/kg/day(group I), 100mg/kg/day(group Ⅱ), 200mg/kg/day(group Ⅲ) and 400mg/kg/day(group IV), was injected intramuscularly in each group and ABR thresholds were measured every other days through 50 days after the initial administration of KM. The injection of KM was discontinued at the day when the ABR threshold was increased more than 40 dB in each guinea pig. After the discontinuation of KM injection, ABR thresholds recovered progrssively to the base line level before the day 50 in group I and Il. But the ABR threshold changes were progressed after discontinuation of KM injection and finally they showed no responses in group III and IV. The results suggested that high dose KM administration could result progressive and irreversible hearing loss after the discontinuation of KM administration.

      • 서비스 질에 대한 고객의 인식과 기대에 관한 연구

        In general, service quality judgements depend on how idividuals perceive the actual service performance within the context of what is expected. Parasuraman, Berry and Zeithaml propose that service quality is function of the magnitude and direction of the Expected Service-Perceived Service Gap. The service quality gap concept is the P-E gap identified by PZB(1985), operationally defined in terms of a "perceptions-minus-expectations" measurement framework. The author examines important conceptual and definitional problems as currently specified in the service marketing literature. Then, recent research identifying measurement validity problems concerning the operationalization of the P-E measurement framework is reviewed. A review of the service quality literature indicates that it is conceptually unclear what the SERVQUAL expectations E concept represents. The E concept can be interpreted in two ways : (1) Under the E concept as an ideal standard, performance levels that exceed the ideal standard result in higher perceived service quality than performance levels that equal the ideal standard. (2) If E is interpreted to represent a feasible ideal point concept, a positive monotonic linkage between the P-E measure and perceived quality would not be excepted when the attributes invloved are finite ideal point. The revised SERVQUAL E measurement request respondents to rate the service issues in tears of the degree to which they are essential When compared to the SERVQUAL P-E and normed quality frameworks, the evaluated performance framework is characterized by greater construct validity. The EP model proposed by Teas is designed to overcome some of the problems associated with the P-E gap conceptualization of service quality.
