Feasibility of utilizing unburned carbon residue in coal ash as a potential precursor for the production of activated carbon was assessed to seek for solution to recycle unburned carbon residue. The unburned carbon concentrate generated from the 4 stages of cleaner flotation has a grade of 87% carbon. The crystalline impurities in the concentrate included quartz and mullite. Unburned carbon had a low specific surface area of $10m^2/g$, which might be related to a high degree of coalification of domestic anthracite coal. Carbon particles were mostly porous and have a turbostratic structure. When 1g of carbon was activated with 6g of KOH powder, the highest specific surface area value of $670m^2/g$ was achieved. Low wettability of unburned carbon particles, which was resulted from high temperature combustion in a boiler, might cause poor pore formation when they were activated by KOH solution. The activated carbon produced in this study developed micropores, with an equivalent quality of general-purpose activated carbon made from coal. Hence, it is concluded that chemically treated unburned carbon can be used for water purification or an alternative to carbon black as it is.

In this study we conducted a research regarding the effect on learning immersion and perception of the learning environment by learning presence of students in the Department of aeronautical science and flight operation in the context of non-face-to-face lectures caused by COVID-19. The relationship between learning presence (cognitive presence, emotional presence, and social presence) and learning commitment showed a high correlation. The learning immersion was also found to increase when cognitive presence, emotional presence, and social presence increased in multiple regression analysis to find out the effects of cognitive presence, emotional presence, and social presence, which are sub-factors of learning presence. The advantage of non-face-to-face classes was to be the ease of learning, and the disadvantage of non-face-to-face classes was the most difficulty of the learning process in the content analysis of the non-face-to-face class environment.

Pond ash produced from Seochun Power Station was quantitatively characterized to manufacture geopolymers with a range of Si/Al compositional ratios. Mix consistency was kept nearly constant for comparing the compressive strengths of geopolymers. The amorphous composition of coal ash was determined using XRF and quantitative X-ray diffraction. Different mix compositions were used in order to achieve Si/Al ratios of 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 in the geopolymer binder. Geopolymers synthesized from coal ash with a Si/Al ratio of 3.0 exhibited the highest compressive strength in this study. It was found that geopolymers activated with aluminate produced different microstructure from that of geopolymers activated with silicate. High silica in alkali activators produced the fine-grained microstructure of geopolymer gel. It was also found that high compressive strength was related to low porosity and a dense, connected microstructure. The outcome of the reported experiment indicates that quantitative formulation method made it possible to choose suitable activators for achieving targeted compositions of geopolymers and to avoid efflorescence.

Bottom ash from coal fired power plants is not widely used due to a broad range of particle sizes and a high carbon content for producing geopolymers. The effect of mechanical activation on compressive strength of bottom ash- based geopolymers was examined by rod and planetary-ball milling to encourage full-fledged recycling of bottom ash, the main component of pond ash. The amount of amorphous component in the milled ash samples did not change significantly after the mechanical activation. It is presumably because needle-shaped mullite crystals, which is a major crystalline phase and grown in a glassy matrix, possess high strength and toughness, and therefore, they could endure external shocks and remain almost intact. Milling operation, however, decreased the particle size and improved the homogeneity of ash, thereby leading to increase reactivity of milled ash with alkali activators. Rod milling produced a relatively narrow particle size distribution of the milled ash particles; however, it was less effective in reducing the particle size. Nevertheless, it was interesting to observe that rod milling had equal effect on improving the compressive strength of geopolymers up to about 37%, as that of planetary ball milling. Rod milling is believed to be suitable process for enhancing the reactivity of bottom ash for large-scale recycling of bottom ash and producing geopolymers.
특허와 논문으로 본 석탄 연소부산물의 지오폴리머 원료화 기술 동향

화력발전소 석탄재는 2010년을 기준으로 약 850만톤, 연탄재는 약 74만톤 배출된다. 이는 대량 재활용되지 않아 경제적, 환경적으로 부담이 되고 있는 실정이므로, 석탄 연소부산물의 자원화기술개발이 시급하다. 석탄 연소부산물을 균질하게 가공하는 분쇄 및 선별 등의 자원처리기술을 적용하고, 석탄 연소부산물의 품질을 관리하여, 비소성 그린시멘트인 지오폴리머의 원료로 재활용하고자 본 연구에서는 석탄 연소부산물의 지오폴리머 원료화 기술에 대한 특허와 논문을 분석하였다. 분석범위는 1979년 ~ 2013년까지의 미국, 유럽연합, 일본, 한국의 등록/공개된 특허와 SCI 논문으로 제한하였다. 특허와 논문은 키워드를 사용하여 수집하였으며, 기술의 정의에 의해 필터링하였다. 특허와 논문의 동향은 연도, 국가, 기업, 기술 등에 따라 분석하여 고찰하였다.

진료 및 간호서비스는 다른 제조업과는 달리 무형의 서비스에 대한 간접비의 비율이 두드러지는 특성을 지니며, 이러한 특성으로 인해 의료기관의 전략적 계획수립, 수익성 분석, 경제성 분석, 의료서비스 제공의 질 관리 등의 의사결정에 적극 활용되어야 하는 원가 분석에 어려움을 겪어왔다. 전문 간호 분야인 가정간호는 1회 방문 시에 다양한 활동들이 모여서 가정간호서비스가 수행되므로 가정간호의 원가분석에는 각 행위들이 모인 활동에 대한 분석에 근거한 정확한 원가 정보가 요구되고 있다. 활동기준원가의 기본 요소는 자원, 활동, 자원 동인, 활동 동인, 원가 대상이며 이에 따라 가정간호사업에서 활동기준원가의 각 요소를 정의하고 전통적 원가 계산이 아닌 활동을 중심으로 가정간호사업의 업무 알고리즘을 분석하여 활동기준원가관리시스템을 설계한다. 가정간호사업의 활동기준원가관리시스템은 가정간호의 효율적 운영과 의료기관의 경영 개선과 함께 실질적 원가 계산을 통해 정부가 건강 보험 수가를 결정하고, 보험 수가를 적절성을 평가하는데 중요한 기초 자료를 제공하게 될 것으로 기대한다.
성평등교육 정책에 대한 인식과 개선 방향 : 서울시교육청 사례를 중심으로

본 연구는 서울시교육청 성평등교육 정책에 관련된 이해당사자들의 경험과 인식을 분석함으로써 현재의 정책을 진단하고 향후 정책의 개선 방향을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시교육청 소속 초중등학교급 교사(교과, 보건), 서울시교육청 전현직 업무 담당자, 사회단체 활동가를 대상으로 초점 집단 면접을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 성평등교육 정책에 대한 다양한 경험과 인식은 1) 우연한 시작, 선도학교: 그러나 평등과 존중의 성문화를 위한 인연, 2) 아주 평범하고 사소한 양성평등교육주간: 그러나 존재만으로 강력한 장치, 3) 겹겹의 벽에 막힌 교원학습공동체: 그러나 울림있는 경험의 장, 4) 갈팡질팡, 주춤하는 성평등 연수: 그러나 교육 주체 성장의 열쇠, 5) 표준에 갇힌 성평등교육 콘텐츠: 그러나 교육실천을 위한 필요충분조건, 6) 방향 없이 표류하는 스쿨미투: 그러나 학교의 의지와 역량에 달려있는 블랙박스로 분석되었다. 성평등교육 정책의 개선 방향으로는 1) 성평등교육 정책 지원의 명시화, 2) 업무 담당자 간의 유기적 업무체계 구축, 3) 성평등교육 담당 교사의 업무 경감, 4) 성평등교육 담당자의 전문성 향상 지원, 5) 성평등교육 담당 기관의 책임과 권한 명확화가 제안되었다. This study was intended to analyze perception and needs of interested parties related to the Gender Equality education policy of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education to diagnose current policies and suggest implications for future policies. To that end, a group of primary and secondary school teachers (subject, health), former and incumbent officials of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, and activists from social organizations were interviewed. According to the study, various criticisms and expectations of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education s Gender Equality Education policy were analyzed into: 1) leading schools that started in a weird way: for a gender culture of equality and respect, 2) very ordinary and minor gender equality education week: but a powerful device only for existence, and 3) a teacher learning community blocked by layers of walls: but a resonant field of experience, 4) crumbling and faltering gender equality training: the key to the growth of educational subjects, 5) content for gender equality education trapped in standards: but, necessary and sufficient conditions for implementing education, 6) “school me too” floating without direction: but, a black box depending on the school s will and competence. For the improvement of the Gender Equality Education policy by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education suggestions include: 1) clarifying support for the Gender Equality Education policy, 2) establishing an organic work system among task personnel, 3) reducing the work of teachers in charge of gender equality education, 4) supporting the professional improvement of gender equality education personnel, and 5) clearing the responsibilities and authority of institutions in charge of gender equality education.
