The hematological effect of parathion intoxication in male albino rats was stuied with the following results. (1) The acute intoxication group in which parathion had been injected once intravenously at 8㎎/㎏ of body weight revealed a significant decrease of hemoglobin. prolonged ^59Fe disappearance half time and a transitory increase of neutrophil as well as a transitory decrease of lymphocyte. (2) The acute intoxication group in which a concomitant treatment of PAM (20㎎/㎏ of body weight) had been given intravenously twice at the interval of 6 hours showed the complete recovery of anemia after 4 weeks. Although a transitory increase of neutrophil and a decrease of lymphocyte were noted, the degree of increment or decrement was milder as compared with that of the non-treated group. (3) The chronic intoxication group in which parathion had been injected intravenously every day for 4 weeks at 1.0㎎/㎏ of body weight disclosed a decrease of hemoglobin, a prolonged plasma ^59Fe disappearance half time and sustained decrease of neutrophil as well as lymphocyte. (4) The chronic intoxication group in which a concomitant treatment of PAM (10.0㎎/㎏ of body weight) had been given subcutaneously every day for 4 weeks showed no reduction of hemoglob in a milder decrease of both neutrophil and lymphocyte as compared with the non-treated group.

저자들은 2예의 만성골수성백혈병에서 조혈능 및 빈형의 기전을 구명하기 위하여 Pollycove 방법에 의한 ferrokinetics을 검사하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. (1) 1일당 혈색소합성량의 경도의 증가, 평균유효혈색소합성기간의 단축, 적혈구내 59Fe 이용률의 감소, 평균 erythron 수명의 단축 등이 있었으며 체표방사능계측곡선에서 체외조혈상 및 용혈상을 볼 수 있었다. (2) 이러한 사실로서 만성골수성백혈병의 빈혈은 용혈과 이에 대한 조혈능의 대상부전에 기인한 것드로 생각한다. $quot; Ferrokinetics by Pollycove's method on 2 cases of Chronic myelogenous leukemia were presented in order to study the erythropoietic function and pathogenesis of anemia. The results are as follows. (1) The daily hemoglobin syntheses were slightly elevated. Both the mean effective hemoglobinization time and mean erythron life span were shortened. The maximum net RBC incorporations of 59Fe were decreased. The in vivo surface measurements of radioactivity over liver, spleen, and sacral bone marrow revealed findings consistant with hemolysis and extramedullary hematopoies. (2) Based upon those findings it is assumed that anemia in chronic myelogenous leukemia may result from hemolysis and inadequate compensation to the developing anemia. $quot;
