In C language programming practice, students work together in presence of teaching assistant or professor in the laboratory. But on case of their practice at student’s home or any other place where professor or teaching assistant do not exist. they cannot discuss and get some help. A web-based cooperative learning helps learner learn problem solving under the conversation and debate at any time, anywhere. In the paper we proposed a web-based cooperative learning system with chatting window. Thus learner can practice c programming language with others and they can confirm the execution result of their program. in the system. The proposed system has a feature of sharing with chatting and C language source code window. The system shows that cooperative learning which students attend the bubble sort project proceed well.

In the field of engineering experiment remote laboratories for electric circuit have some problems that the learners cannot change circuit composition and circuit element values for their convenience. In this paper we implemented a new type of remote laboratory for electric circuit so that we could overcome such problems. We have developed variable resistor, inductor and capacitor modules driven by several stepping motors so that the learners are able to remotely control the circuit composition and circuit element values through relay switching technique. The proposed remote laboratory in this paper is composed of four important components: ATmega128 micro controller for controlling the variable circuit element modules, data acquisition(DAQ) card, LabVIEW for operating their hardware resources and ELVIS device for measuring the circuit characteristics. Finally, we built the remote laboratory for RLC series impedance and series resonance experiments to show the validity of the proposed remote laboratory.

A Data Logger System collects and utilizes data short/long systems in real-time. The system is now generally used as it has been automated and it is applied in the fields such as forecasting, inspection and commercial facilities management systems. In our developed Data Logger System, the communications between the master and slave on the embodied system use the RS-422 type serial communications which maximizes the data transfer distance. In addition, the server and client utilize the existing network and they are embodied using TCP/IP protocol environment. The monitoring program is composed of the server side program and client program. By plotting out graphs with the real-time data, the monitoring system conveniently displays the data change.

It is very important to understand the usage of experiment units and to manipulate those well. But due to the limitation of access to experiment units and allowed time, effectiveness of experimental education might not be attained enough. To investigate the effectiveness of the multimedia contents as a pedagogical tool for a preliminary education for experiments, a post-experiment review is conducted for groups of freshmen-year engineering students participating in a digital system experiment class. Post-experiment review results showed that the developed multimedia contents helped students easily understand the usages of the digital lab kit and manipulate the real digital lab kit well without hesitation.

In this paper, a Nondestructive Testing System has been developed, which can effectively detect the fatal defects such as delamination, crack, and void. Functions such as A/B/C-Scan, 3D display, a Multi-Layer Scan scanning up to 20 layers and clustering are available, with user-friendly interface. Also a high performance scanner equipped with a auto-loading device and a bubble auto-clearing device considerably enhances the quality, speed and reliability of inspections.

본 연구에서는 온도센서와 스테핑 모터, 자동급수장치를 이용해 실용적이며 안정적인 자동온실 시스템과 이를 간편하게 제어할 수 있는 어플리케이션을 개발하였다. 자동급수장치의 급수량을 조절하기 위해 NI사의 DAQ카드를 이용하였으며 해당 하드웨어 리소스를 운영하기 위해 NI사의 LabVIEW 소프트웨어를 사용하였다. In this paper, we developed practical and reliable automated greenhouse systems and applications which can control easily the greenhouse. NI’s DAQ card was used for control the supply of water at automatic watering device. NI’s LabVIEW software was used for operate the hardware resources.
학습효율 향상을 위한 웹기반 하이브리드 공학실험시스템 구현

To enhance the excellence, effectiveness and economical efficiency in the learning process, we implement a hybrid educational system for engineering experiments where web-based virtual laboratory systems and distance education systems are properly integrated. In the first stage, we designed client/server distributed environment and developed web-based virtual laboratory systems for digital systems and electrical/electronic circuit experiments. The proposed virtual laboratory systems are composed of four important sessions and their management system: concept learning session, virtual experiment session, assessment session. With the aid of the management system every session is organically tied up together to achieve maximum learning efficiency. In the second stage, we have implemented efficient and cost-effective distant laboratory systems for practicing electric/electronic circuits, which can be used to eliminate the lack of reality occurred during virtual laboratory session. The use of simple and user-friendly design allows a large number of people to access our distant laboratory systems easily. Thus, self-guided advanced training is available even if a lot of expensive equipment will not be provided in the on-campus laboratories. The proposed virtual/distant laboratory systems can be used in stand-alone fashion, but to enhance learning efficiency we integrated them and developed a hybrid educational system for engineering experiments. Our hybrid education system provides the learners with interactive learning environment and a new approach for the delivery of engineering experiments. 본 연구에서는 학습과정에 우수성, 유효성, 그리고 경제적인 효율성을 향상시키기 위해 웹기반 가상실험 실과 웹기반 원격실험실을 적절하게 통합한 하이브리드 공학실험시스템을 개발하였다. 먼저 클라이언트/서버 분산환경을 설계하여 디지털 시스템과 전기전자회로 실험에 대한 웹기반 가상실험시스템을 개발하였다. 제안된 가상실험시스템은 개념학습세션, 가상실험세션, 평가세션등의 3개의 주요한 세션과 이들 주요세션을 유기적으로 통합하여 학습효율의 극대화를 달성하기 위한 관리시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 다음으로 본연구에서는 가상실험세션 동안에 발생할 수 있는 현실감의 부족을 해결하기 위해 전기/전자회로를 실험할수 있는 웹기반 원격 실험실을 구현하였다. 더욱이 간결하고 사용자가 친근하게 접근할 수 있는 설계기법을 사용하였기 때문에 많은 사용자들이 쉽게 원격실험실에 접속할 수 있으며, 고가의 실험장비가 실제 실험실에 구비되어 있지 않더라도 자기주도의 심화학습이 가능하다. 제안된 가상/원격실험시스템은 독립적으로 사용될 수도 있으나 학습효율을 향상시키기 위해서 웹상에서 두 개의 시스템을 통합하여 하이브리드 공학실험시스템을 개발하였다. 제안된 하이브리드 공학실험시스템은 학습자들에게 상호작용적인 학습환경을 제공하여 공학실험교육을 효율적으로 관리하는 새로운 접근방식이다.
