This research reviews the present conditions and problems of medical tourism in Korea. The purposes of the research are two fold. One is to investigate definitions and principals of medical tourism products with factors. The other is to suggest strategies for the development of marketing model in Korea. As a result of analysis, the most serious problems are both specialization of medical technology and evolution of tourism policy. Among selection factors in medical tourism products, the quality of medical services, modernization of medical facilities, feedback of medical treatments, and management services, and special elements compared with former medical services are surveyed as essential variables. In addition, improvement of medical-service systems, national support of medical tourism advertisement, international advertisement through Korean Tourism Organization, and introduction of one-stop services for medical tourism are considered as prerequisite in medical tourism. In conclusion, it is expected that the quality of medical services and modernization of medical facilities should be established in order to develop medical tourism with national advertisement and service education for employees.

The purpose of this study is to explore visitors` satisfaction on behavioral intention in Korea Travel EXPO. In conducting the research, a total of 1300 questionnaires were distributed to visitors in Korea Travel EXPO from February 19 to 22, 2009; 764 were completed and used. The data were analyzed for reliability analysis and factor analysis by SPSS 15.0, and for the fitness of the research model to verify hypotheses through the AMOS 18.0. Major findings of this study can be outlined as follows: First, the visitors` appraisal levels of perception, role and expectation had a significant relation with satisfaction, while cleanliness and confusion appeared statistically insignificant in affecting visitors` satisfaction. Second, only role had significant effects on behavioral intention yet other four factors had negative influence on behavioral intention. Finally, visitors` satisfaction of Korea Travel EXPO had a strong influence on behavioral intention. The findings of this study help enhance the quality of travel EXPO and hold the successful events for the future.

The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic impact of tourism in Chung-Buk, based on an economic basic models. The economic effects of the tourism sector have been recognised to playing important roles by creating employment and generating high value-added among many industries. This study focuses on comparative analysis between the tourism sector and other sectors by examining effects. The multiplier effects in tourism sector are compared with those from other sectors. The multiplier effect of economic basic models in tourism is low when compared with other industries, while the effects of employment induction, income are high. Net indirect tax is discovered to be at a level similar to other industries. The degree of dependence on other countries for import is low in the tourism sector on the grounds that the income multiplier effect is low. As a result, it can be concluded that leakage effect is low in Chung-Buk tourism sector. This study has also proven that tourism industry is important to the Chung-Buk region economy as a strategic industry for region economy development. Thus this study suggests that the tourism industry should be promoted as a region industry in the future.

The purpose of this study is that by systematically figure out the relationship between Mega-event’s brand equity and place attachment, to make theoretical contribution and to suggest practical strategy method to Mega-event marketing. To accomplish these purposes, survey method was used as the method of investigation and the total amount of 374 valid samples was analyzed. Analysis result of first hypothesis is that the relationship between brand equity and place attachment shows that brand image, perceived quality and all the variables affect place dependence and place identity. The variables that affect the place dependence the most was brand image and the variables that affect the place identity the most was perceived quality. Meanwhile in the second hypothesis, moderating variables in volunteer’s service performance in the relationship between brand equity and place attachment, perceived quality was the only variables that affect the place dependence. Based on the analysis result, some implications could be given. When a local government holds the mega-event, brand image needs to be improved strategically to intensify the place dependence. To intensify the place dependence, perceived quality should have the establishment of a strategy. Despite these analysis result and implication, the regulation effect was not fully explained because this study was aiming the Asian game which is held every 4 years. Even service performance of measurement was not enough because of the lack of related advanced research and the number of list of measurement.

The present study and the distribution structure of the diamond industry in South Korea about the reality was an attempt to improve the study, the starting point for the rough and polished diamond market, the uniqueness of the South Korea match was to seek to focus on strategic marketing. To this end, the following detailed research agenda setting and the diamond industry and target country studies were performed. First, the theoretical background, through the marketing activities in several important dimensions and concepts through the diamonds of the uniqueness of the product types and products were discussed. Second, the market demand through the active management of the general concept of becoming a marketing and looking out through the definition of marketing reality and diamond jewelry market was approaching. Analyzing the results of this study demonstrate that a diamond gives marketers implications are as follows. First, the importance of store management evaluation store atmosphere, reputation, design, the display shows the image with the highest average market is being evaluated as the most important factor. Second, a competent professional salesperson in the field is essential to increase the revenue.
