Confidence and convenience of fingerprint verification have been confirmed and most frequently used for identity confirmation. Such fingerprint verification methods include minutiae-based and image-based methods. The minutiae-based method has been frequently used, but it has limitations in performance. These days, there have been many studies on enhancement of performance using another information rather than minutiae. The image-based method uses contrast of images to verify fingerprints. This paper analyzed changes in performance according to size and form of binary fingerprint images to be compared for analysis performance of image-based fingerprint verification method. Based on the experiment results, verification performance was superior as there were many compare areas, security performance was superior when comparing the center of a fingerprint. Moreover, the center of the fingerprint image was altogether superior to the outside area with verification performance and security performance.

Since recent inverters are formed IGBT WVF inverter its switching speed has been increased relative to the conventional inverters and the motor design based on the switching surge voltage at the inverter output is very important factor. Therefore, motor and inverter should be designed to have the optimal characteristics by considering the mutually limited conditions.<br/> On this research the design technology characteristics for inverter driving traction motor is compared to the products in Korea and the analysis is performed. Thus, it is intend to re-estimate the technology level and introduce the products by HHI, which is driving on Seoul subway line 6 since December, 2000.

A large scale seeding system was stable in terms of techniques but a convenient seeding system of small size was unsettled. This study was performed to develop a semi-automatic seeder for small and medium sized scale farm. To investigate optimum needle diameter and vacuum pressure was used vacuum suction needle seeder. Although the needle diameter according to the kinds of seed was different, the needle diameter for salvia and lettuce seed was suitable for 0.34 mm needle nozzle and 0.4 mm taper nozzle. The prototype consisted a seeding frame attached with needle nozzle, seed hopper, vibrating device, seeding part, vacuum ejector, seed tube etc.. As the result with the experiments, the seeding rate of the seeder was 92% and more at 0.34 mm diameter needle nozzle and 0.4 mm taper nozzle. Eccentric weight for seed hopper vibration was suitable that weight is 11 g and eccentric distance is 0.5 mm. Vibration acceleration of upward direction was 0.363 m/s2. Working capacity of the seeder was possible 160 trays per hour. It was possible for sowing small seeds but it was required to make compact and simple model.

The purpose of this study is to presuppose the mutation of Korean industry in 21st century based on the examination of world economy, core issues of the industry, and managerial reformation of world's outstanding companies. Based on the study, the following outcomes are identified. First, Korean companies has to enhance more transparent management and, at the same time, begin restructuring. Second, the companies have to lead the development of new technology through sharing technical know-how and exchanging related information based on the network. Third, they have to put constant efforts on promising, future oriented, and knowledge based industry. Fourth, as consumers' need becomes diverse and boundaries of skill-centered small business companies are expanding, they have to transform the production system that can produce multiform and diverse volume of production. Fifth, they have to cultivate men of ability who can seek a new technology. Sixth, as the coming industrial environment requires the core business and core capability, they need to secure and educate the core person who can lead the individual area.

The districts of underground geologic structure in Jeju island where underground air is distributed are lava cave, pyroclastic, open joint, and crushing zone. Such districts are identified to secure an enough airflow when air ventilation layer is to secure 25-35m in depth. In Jeju, Ground air is used for heating greenhouse and fertilizing natural CO₂ gas by suppling directly into greenhouse. But the heating method by suppling ground air into greenhouse directly bring about several problem. The occurrence of disease of the crops by high humidity is worried because the underground air which becomes discharge from underground air layer has over 90% relative humidity. The underground air is inadequate in heating for crops which need high temperature heating such as mangos, Hallbong and mandarin orange because the temperature of it is 15{sim}18?C. Also There is worry where the ventilation loss becomes larger because the air pressure inside greenhouse is high by supplying underground air directly. In this study the heat pump system using underground air as heat source was developed and heating performance of the system was analysed. Heating COP of the system was 2.5~5.0 and rejecting heat into greenhouse and extracting heat from underground air were 40,000~27,000 kcal/h, 30,000~18,000 kcal/h respectively.

In this paper, we proposed a prioritization method of test cases using a value estimation model of test sets, that are key elements for highly effective software testings as well as involve a large cost factor in software developments and maintenances. Based on previous studies, our idea includes introducing some practical factors of the test case prioritization which critically influence the value of a test case: Relative values of test sets before and after the test running, Average value of these two relative values, Severity of the defect, Risks that are covered, Frequency of use, Change related values, Systematic elicitations, etc. Finally we discussed the usefulness and the expected effects of the proposed scheme.
