        Distribution of Aquaporins (Water Channels) in the Rat Salivary Glands

        침샘은 하루 1.5 l의 침을 분비하며, 일반적으로 침샘에서 수분이동은 능동적 염분 이동에 따른 삼투현상에 의해 일어난다. 따라서 침샘에서 높은 수분투과성으로 인해 수분통로 단백인 aquaporin (AQP)들이 풍부하게 존재할 수 있다. 지금까지침샘에 4가지 형태의 AQP이 존재한다고 알려져 있지만 침샘에서 정확한 위치와 수분 이동에 대한 각 AQP들의 역할은 아직 확실치 않다. 본 연구는 300 g 정도의 흰쥐를 pentobarbital sodium (50 mg/kg, IP) 마취하에서 carbarchol (10 μg/kg)을 복강 내 투여한 후 AQP들의 역할과 분포를 면역조직화학방법으로 조사하였다. AQP1은 침샘의 미세혈관의 내피세포와 샘세포와 샘관 주위에 존재하는 근육상피세포에 존재하였다. AQP4는 침샘관의 마지막 부위인 배출관에 존재하였다. AQP5는 주로 장액세포의 바닥가쪽과 세포사이 분비소관을 포함한 세포꼭대기쪽막 에 존재하였으며 콜린성 분비 자극으로 세포꼭대기쪽막으로 이동되어 밀집되었다. AQP5는 모든 침샘의 사이관과 줄무늬 관에도 존재하였으며 점액세포는 약하게 존재하였다. AQP8은 AQP5처럼 장액세포의 바닥쪽막과 세포사이 분비소관을 포함한 세포꼭대기쪽막에 존재하였으며 콜린성 침분비 자극으로 세포꼭대기쪽막쪽으로 이동되어 밀집되었다. 이상의 실험결과는 AQP5와 AQP8이 장액세포에서 일차 침 형성시 일어나는 수분이동의 주된 통로임을 시사하였다. The salivary glands produce 1.5 l of fluid per day. As in other organs, the general paradigm in the salivary glands is that water movement occurs secondary to osmotic driving forces created by active salt transport. Therefore, high water permeability in salivary glands is expected to need a variety of aquaporin (AQP), a water channel. Although four AQPs have been known to reside in salivary glands, the precise location and roles of AQPs have been not well examined. This study is aimed to investigate the distribution of AQPs in 3 major salivary glands and their changes after cholinergic stimulation using immunohistochemical study in Sprague Dawley rats weighing 300 g under pentobarbital sodium anesthesia. AQP1 was localized in the endothelial cells of all salivary capillary vessels and the myoepithelial cells. AQP4 was demonstrated in the epithelium of the excretory ductal cells of all salivary glands. AQP5 and 8 were abundantly present in the basolateral membrane and apical membranes of the serous acini including intercellular secretory canaliculi, whereas AQP5 was weakly present in mucous acini. In addition, AQP5 was found in the epithelium of the intercalated and striated ducts. Upon stimulation of carbachol (10 μg/kg, I.P). AQP5 and 8 tended to translocate from basolateral membrane to the apical membrane, appearing as clusters of dots. These results suggest that AQP5 and 8 are the candidate molecules responsible for the water movement in salivary acinar cells.

        4년제 간호학과 교과과정 분석

        Purpose: This study was performed to identify the present status of graduate nursing curriculum in Korea, so as to provide basic data for improving nursing education. Methods: In order to analyze the present nursing curriculum, data were collected from the home page of 81 nursing colleges in Korea. The subjects and credits of nursing curriculum were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The total graduate credits were 137.6, credits of general education were 31.4 and nursing major courses were 96.5 credits. The credits of nursing major courses were as follows: ‘basic science for nursing’ was 22.0 credits, ‘basic nursing’ was 11.9 credits, ‘subjects having same name with nursing license examination’ were 66.9 credits and ‘other nursing subjects’ were 11.9 credits. These results showed that the credits of general education and nursing major courses were decreased while the subjects and credits related to the courses for nursing license examination have not changed compared with the past. Conclusion: Considering the change of social needs and nursing student character, it is necessary to improve the nursing curriculum. We suggest that further research to facilitate nursing curriculum development and adapting to social change should be undertaken.

        오징어 먹물을 첨가한 Yellow Layer Cake 개발에 관한 연구

        This study was performed to develop a functional yellow layer cake with added cuttlefish ink, by evaluating its physiochemical properties and sensory qualities. Viscosity tended to increase, and height decrease, with the addition of cuttlefish ink. The sensory evaluation revealed the addition of cuttlefish ink in the cake. Specifically, at the 0.3% level color, flavor, and gumminess were enhanced. The brightness(L) of the crumb was highest in the in the control group, at 72.76, and decreased with increasing amounts of cuttlefish ink. The crust of the yellow layer cake was highest in the control group. Furthermore, redness(a) of the crumb was lowest in the control group. but for the crust, it was highest in the control group at crust. Yellowness(b) decreased with increasing amounts of cuttlefish ink for both the crumb and crust. The hardness, cohesiveness, gumminess, and chewiness of the yellow layer cake was highest in the control group.

        간호대학생의 진로정체감 형성 관련 요인 경로분석

        본 연구는 학업성취, 전공만족, 전공몰입, 그리고 실습만족이 진로정체감에 미치는 경로를 확인하기 위하여 시도되었다. 연구목적을 위하여 2015년 11월에서 11월까지 일 간호학과의 전체 학생 210명을 대상으로 조사하였으며 그 중 1학년 41명, 2학년 54명, 3학년 46명, 4학년 49명 총 190명으로부터 자료가 회수되어 분석되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 18.0 과 AMOS 18.0를 사용하여 분석되었다. 본 연구 분석 결과 일반적 특성 중 진로정체감에 차이가 있는 것은 입학목적과 연령으로 학년에 따라서는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 학업성취, 전공만족, 전공몰입, 그리고 실습 만족이 진로정체감에 미치는 영향은 총 34%이었고 전공몰입을 제외한 실습만족, 전공만족, 학업성취가 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이중 실습만족은 전공몰입, 전공만족, 그리고 진로정체감에 영향을 미치며, 전공만족과 전공몰입을 통해 학업성취에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 간호학생의 진로정체감은 학년이 올라감에 따라 유의한 향상을 보이지 않았으며 실습만족도는 진로정체감에 가장 크게 영향을 미치며 전공만족과 전공몰입을 통해 간접적으로도 영향을 미치는 가장 중요한 요인 으로 나타났다. 간호학과 학생이 학년이 올라가면서 안정적인 진로정체감을 형성할수 있도록 하기 위해서는 의 간호학 실습을 경험하는 학년부터 특별한 관심과 지도가 필요가 있다고 사료된다. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the path in which academic achievement, major satisfaction, major flow, and practice satisfaction have influence on career identity. Method: The population of the study was 190 nursing students of one nursing college(1 st grade 41, 2 nd grade 54, 3 rd grad 46, 4 th grade 49) and were collected from Oct. 2015- Nov. 2015. The collected data were analysis by SPSS Win 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 statistical programs. Result: Career identity score was slightly high and no difference by grades. Total effect of all paths on career identity was 34%, and among theses variables, Academic achievement and practice satisfaction, and major satisfaction were significant. Academic Achievement effected directly on career identity, and practice satisfaction effected directly and indirectly, and major satisfaction effected directly and indirectly. Conclusion: Career identity of nursing students was not increased by grades, and mostly effected by practice satisfaction. Practice satisfaction was not only effect directly on career identity but also effect indirectly through major satisfaction and major flow. When considering these results, practice satisfaction was most important factor for Career Identity.

        팀구성 방법에 따른 학습효과

        본 연구는 학습효과를 높이기 위한 팀 구성 방법을 확인하고자 시행하였다. 본 연구는 1개 대학 간호학과 3학년 54명을 대상으로, 팀구성 방법(성격 외향성 요인, 무작위, 성적)에 따른 학습효과와 만족도를 파악하기 위해 이루어졌다. 동일대상에 대하여 3가지 팀구성 방법을 각 5주간 씩, 3차에 걸쳐 모두 적용하고 반복측정 한 유사실험연구이다. 자료는 SPSS 21.0 통계프로그램을 사용하였으며, 일반적 특성 등은 빈도와 백분율, 평균, 표준편차 적용, 팀구성 방법에 따른 학습효과 및 만족도는 반복측정 분산분석(Repeated Measured ANOVA)으로 분석하였고, 성격요인점수가 리더역할과 참여정도에 미치는 영향은 단순 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 연구결과 성격 외향성 요인을 기준으로 수준의 다양성을 가진 팀을 구성한 경우 문제해결(p=.000), 협동(p=.009), 통합(p=.000) 등의 학습효과와 참여만족, 활동만족, 결과만족도가 가장 높았다(p=.015, p=.008, p=.001). 또한 5개 성격요인 점수 중 외향성과 성실성이 개인의 팀활동에서의 리더역할(R2=.308, p=.000, R2=.228, p=.000)과 참여 정도((R2=.308, p=.000, R2=.228, p=.000)에 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 학습효과를 높이기 위한 팀구성 방법으로 외향성의 요인을 기준으로 한 성격관련 구성방법을 활용할 수 있는 근거를 제시하였다. This study was carried out to ascertain a method to organize teams to enhance learning effects. This study targeted 54 junior nursing students of a university. To identify learning effects and satisfaction according to team organizing method (outgoing personality factors, random, and grade), this study conducted a quasi-experiment, which this study applied three team organizing methods to the same subjects three times for five weeks, respectively, and repeatedly measured. The SPSS 21.0 statistical program was used for data processing, and general characteristics were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and learning effects and satisfaction according to team organizing methods were analyzed with repeated measured ANOVA. For the influence of personality factor scores on leader’s role and participation level, a simple regression analysis was used in this study. As a result of this study, such learning effects as problem solving (p=.000), cooperation (p=.009), and integration (p=.000), and satisfaction with participation, satisfaction with activity, and satisfaction with result were the highest in order (p=.015, p=.008, p=.001, respectively) in the case of organizing teams, based on the extroversion factor. Among the five personality factors, extroversion and sincerity significantly affected personal leader role (R2=.308, p=.000, R2=.228, p=.000) and participation level ((R2=.308, p=.000, R2=.228, p=.000). Therefore this study presented a basis to utilize the personality-related organizing method, based on the extroversion factor, as the method to organize teams in order to enhance learning effects.

        대학입학전형 관련 요인에 따른 간호학과 1학년의 학업성취 분석

        Purpose: This study aims to understand the influence of college entrance system-related factors and scores of college scholastic ability test on a first year nursing student’s academic achievement. Method: Data collected include both a descriptive survey designed to assess college entrance system-related factors with respect to 182 nursing students attending a 4-year nursing college program and their test scores in the first year. The data were analyzed via descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test with Bonferroni’s correction, and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient through an SPSS 18.0 program. Results: Student academic achievement with regard to college entrance system-related factors exhibited significant divergence from first year grade point averages (hereafter GPA) and natural science grades. Conclusion: This study confirmed the existence of significant differences, depending on the factors regarding the college entrance system. As a result, conducting assessment to evaluate the level of basic knowledge before college entrance is highly recommended. Also recommended is the development of a support program for students projected to have difficulties with respect to their academic achievement.
