        8년간(1992~1999) 산업안전보건연구원에 의뢰된 직업병 심의 사례 분석

        Objectives : Pneumoconisis and noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) have been reported as main occupational diseases by the Special Health Examination. The Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance has reported various work-related diseases, however, these two diseases occupied almost a half of compensated cases. Therefore, it was not well known about the status of occupational diseases other than pneumoconiosis, NIHL, and cardio-cerebrovascular accident (CVA). This study was conducted to analyze claimed cases as an occupational disease, that was requested to the Korea Industrial Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA). Methods : The local office of the Korea Labor Welfare Corporation (KLWC) has asked the KOSHA for confirmation of claimed cases as an occupational disease. We analyzed 379 cases requested from KLWC, the Ministry of Labor, employers, unions and occupational health agencies from 1992 to 1999. Results : Male was 80.7 % of the requested cases. Their mean age was 42 years old and 75.5 % of them were more than 35 years old. The requested cases were increased rapidly from 25 cases in 1992 to 108 cases in 1999 and the accept rate was 50.7 %. The majority of requested cases were respiratory diseases(22.4%), cancers(18.5%), Neuropsychiatric problems(14.5%), and musculoskeletal problems(13.5%). The accept rate was high in reproductive, respiratory, musculoskeletal and digestive disorders and low in neuropsychiatric, renal and otologic problems and occupational cancers. 73.6% of them were caused by chemical agents, especially 28.5 % were by organic solvents. 67% of them were clinically confirmed at university hospitals. A half of the cases were from KyongIn area, even the request came from the whole country. Conclusions : A claim was common in workers whose age was over 35 years old and exposure history was over 10 years. The respiratory diseases and neuropsychiatric disorders were still main problems in occupational health and occupational cancers was increasing even though its accept rate was not high yet.

        신규 방사성 항암제 DW-166HC 의 소핵시험

        DW-166HC (^(166)Holmium (^(166)Ho)-Chitosan complex) is a new radiopharmaceutic anticancer agent with a broad anti-tumorigenic spectrum, especially against human hepatic cancer. DW-166HC was evaluated for the appearance of micronucleus in polychromatic erythrocytes (PCEs) of mouse bone marrow cells after subcutaneous arid intravenous single administration. Bone marrow cells were prepared at 24 hr and 48 hr after DW-166HC-I (^(165)Ho-Chitosan complex : cold compound) administration and at 24 hr, 72 hr and 2 weeks after DW-166HC (^(166)Ho-Chitosan complex : hot compound) administration. The results showed there was no statistically significant increase of the numbers of PCEs with micronucleus in all DW-166HC-I administered groups compared with a negative control group but there was statistically significant increase of the numbers of PCEs with micronucleus at 24 hr arid 72 hr in all DW-166HC administered groups, which was recovered after 2 weeks from the drug administration. The results also showed the ratio of normochromatic erythrocytes (NCEs) to PCEs of all DW-166HC-I administered groups was not significantly different from that of a negative controi group but there was significant difference of this ratio at 24hr and 72 hr in all DW-166HC administered groups compared with that of negative group, which was also recovered after two weeks from the drug administration. These results suggested that DW-166HC-I may not cause any chromosomal damage but DW-166HC has in vivo mutagenic potential because of its radioactivity.

      • p-(p'-Hydroxy phenylazo)-benzoic의 합성과 LB막 특성에 관한 연구

        The Synthesis of p-(p'- Hdroxyl phenly azo)- benzoic acid was studied to get optimized conditions. The spectrum of the product of reaction containing azobenzene chromophores was investigated by using ultraviolet spectrophotometery in acetone solvent at room temperature. In addition, UV absorption spectra of langmmuir Blodggett film deposited on quartz plate was measured, and the structure of these compounds were ascertained by measuring the ultraviolet and infrared spectra. Recrystallization of reaction product in the solvent( water:methanlo:acetone) atmosphere results 68% p-(p'- Hdroxyl phenly azo)-benzoic acid yield and the melting point of that was about 254-267°C (decomposition). The LB film of azobenzene derivatives with long alkyl chains shows some possibility to be applied to functional molecular devices such as photomemory and lignt switching

      • Dimethyl Phthalate와 Ethylene Glycol간의 에스테르 교환반응에서 염화물 촉매의 영향

        Transesterification reaction between dimethyl phthalate and ethylene glycol was kinetically investigated in the presense of various metal chloride catalysts at 140-170℃. The reaction rates measured by the amount of distilled methanol from the reaction vessel. The transesterification reaction was carried out under the first order conditions respect to the concentration of reactants, respectively. The overall reaction order was 2nd. The linear relationship was shown between apparent rate constant and reciprocal absolute temperature. By the Arrhenius plot the activation energy have been calculated as 19.9 kcal/mole under zinc chloride catalyst and also apparent rate constant, k' was found to obey first kinetic with respect to the concentration of catalyst.

        3관능성 BPA-3MA를 기질로한 광중합형 치면열구전색재의 물성 연구

        The BPA-3MA(bisphenol-A trimethacrylate) in which one of two hydroxy group was substituted by methacrylate was synthesized by reaction of Bis-GMA with methacryloyl chloride. To investigate the possibility to apply BPA-3MA as matrix of composite resin or pit and fissure sealant, BPA-3MA(3MA) or Bis-GMA(GMA) as matrix, TEGDMA as diluent, CQ as photosensitizer, EDMAB as photoinitiator and 5㎛ pyrogenic silica as filler were used for making experimental sealants. In addition, these experimental sealants were compared to a commercial Concise L/C White sealant(CLW, 3M Co, U.S.A.) for flexural strength, diametral tensile strength, amount of abrasion, surface hardness, water sorption and solubility, and degree of conversion. The flexural strength of CLW was the highest value but there was not significant difference with 3MA. Diametral tensile strength of all 3 groups were similar(p>0.05) and the amounts of abrasion of 3MA and GMA were less than that of CLW(p<0.05). The surface hardness of 3MA was higher than that of GMA(p<0.05) but similar to that of CLW. The water sorption of 3MA was less than that of GMA and CLW(p<0.05) and the solubilities of 3MA and CLW were than that of GMA(p<0.05). GMA and CLW were relatively polymerized well as compared to 3MA. From these results, pit and fissure sealant using trifunctional BPA-3MA as matrix had superior physical and mechanical properties to existing Bis-GMA sealant. Furthermore, it will be possible to develop composite resin having superior properties to existing composite resin.

        THE EFFECT OF PRIMING ETCHED DENTIN WITH SOLVENT ON THE MICROTENSILE BOND STRENGTH OF HYDROPHOBIC DENTIN ADHESIVE

        장기적인 상아질 접착의 내구성 악화는 접착층과 혼성층의 친수성 부위에서의 가수분해에 의해 일어나는 것으로 보고 되고 있다. 본 연구의 가설은 콜라겐 망상체를 유기용매로 프라이밍하면 콜라겐 조직을 붕괴시키지 않고 수분을 밀어내고 소수성 단량체와 유기용매로 이루어진 접착제가 침투하여 접착강도를 얻을 수 있다는 것이다. 두 소수성 단량체인 Bisphenol-A-glycidylmethacrylate (Bis-GMA)와 triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA)를 아세톤, 에탄올 또는 메탄올에 용해시켜 세 가지의 실험용 접착제를 준비하였다. 산 부식과 수세과정 후에, 접착제를 습윤 상아질 표면(습윤 접착)이나 동일한 용매로 프라이밍 된 상아질 표면(용매 프라이밍 접착)에 적용하였다. 48시간 후와 1개월 후, 및 10.000회의 열순환 후에 미세인장결합강도를 측정하였다 접착계면은 주사전자현미경을 이용하여 관찰하였다. 접착방법에 무관하게 대부분의 시편의 접착계면예서 잘 발달된 혼성층을 관찰할 수 있었고 가장 높은 평균 미세인장결합강도는 에탄올을 포함하는 접착제의 48시간 후 시편에서 관찰되었다. 용매를 이용하여 프라이밍하는 접착 방법에서는 에탄올이나 메탄올을 포함하는 접착제에서 열순환 후에 미세인장접착강도가 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 그러나 습윤 접착의 경우에는 시효처리 후 미세인장결합강도의 증가가 관찰되지 않았다. 본 연구에서 에탄올을 이용한 상아질 프라이밍으로 우수한 접착력을 얻을 수 있었고. 열순환 후 접착력이 더욱 증가하였다 Deterioration of long-term dentin adhesion durability is thought to occur by hydrolytic degradation within hydrophilic domains of the adhesive and hybrid layers. This study investigated the hypothesis that priming the collagen network with an organic solvent displacc water without collapse and thereby obtain good bond strength with an adhesive made of hydrophobic monomers and organic solvents. Three experimentaladhesives were prepared by dissolving two hydrophobic monomers bisphenol-A-glycidylmethacrylate (Bis-GMA) and triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA), into acetone, ethanol or methanol. After an entching and rinsing procedure, the adhesives were applied onto either wet dentin surfaces (wet bonding) or dentin .surfaces primed with the same solvent (solvent-primed bonding). Microtensile bond strength (MTBS) was measured at 48 hrs, 1 month and after 10,000 times of thermocycles. The bonded interfaces were evaluated using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) Regardless of bonding protocols, weIl-developed hybrid layers were observed at the bonded interface in most specimens. The highest mean MTBS was observed in the adhesive containing ethanol at 48 hrs. With solvent-primed bonding increased MTBS tendencies were seen with thermocycling in the adhesives containing ethanol or methanol. However in the case of wet bonding, no increase in MTBS was observed with aging.

      • Sucrose monoacetate 合成에 關한 硏究

        The transesterification has been investigated on the reaction of sucrose with ethylacetate, in N, N-dimethylformamide solvent, using anhydrous potassium carbonate and aluminum sulfate as a catalyst. The major product is confirmed as sucrose monoacetate by I.R. spectroscope and chemical analysis. Sucrose monoacetate has the similiar properties of sucrose besides less sweetness. From the Arrhenius plot the activation energies have been calculated as 9.8㎉/mole with K₂CO₃ and 12.9㎉/mole with Al₂(SO₄)₃, respectively. The catalytic activity of potassium carbonate is higher than that of aluminum sulfate. It is confirmed that the transesterification of sucrose with ethylacetate proceeds on the first order of reaction.

      • 골다공증 진단에 피부 두께의 임상적 유용성 평가

        The study was carried out to examine how much clinically useful was the skin thickness in diagnosis of osteoporosis. The project was to look into not only the presumption that patients with osteoporosis have the skin loss at the similar rate of the reduction in the collagen content of the bone but also the correlation between the collagen content and the skin thickness. The skin thickness was measured on the dorsal hand(right) of the patients using an ultrasonic technique with a 20 MHz focused ultrasonic transducer. Measurements of the bone density of the patients were made on both the lumbar spine (L2-4) and the femoral neck using Dual­Energy X­ray Absorptionmeter(DEXA, Norland). An ultrasonic bone densitometer(Mark 6000, Medison Co. Korea) was taken to measure the speed of sound (SOS) on the calcaneus. It was observed that there were some degrees of correlation between the bone density obtained by the DEXA and the SOS of the calcaneous (P<0.01). There was no evidence that the skin thickness was correlated with the DEXA produced bone density and ultrasonically measured SOS.
