The present study was designed to investigate the effect of PTH on calcium (???) transport through the luminal membrane and brushborder membrane of swine distal segments. Two membrane vesicles were incubated with the Ca-45 for 30 seconds, 1, 2, or 4 minutes, and rapidly filtered on Millipore 0.45㎛ filter. The calcium uptake was time dependent. Incubation with ?? M bPTH(1∼34) decreased ???? uptake by both vesicles, and ????M bPTH(1∼34) indicated less ???? uptake by both vesicles. These results suggest that : 1) tubular vesicle is an useful calcium uptake model ; 2) PTH does not increase ???? uptake by basolateral membrane vesicle and brushborder membrane vesicle of swine distal tubules.

Nickel toxicity and interactions of nickel with zinc, copper, and lead were studied in glowing chicks fed supplemented diet. Feed intake and growth rate of the chick were reduced by 250mg nickel as a sulfate salt per kg of feed. The toxicity of nickel was decreased by zinc or copper supplementation, but not lead. High nickel feed increased nickel level in kidney and decreased zinc levels in tibia and plasma. However, low zinc levels in tibia and in plasma were reversed by zinc supplementation. Hemoglobin, packed cell volume, and aortic elastin content were increased in chicks fed nickel. These results suggest that nickel toxicity is induced by interference with zinc metabolism.

Progesterone immunogen has been synthesized and its melting point, Rf-value, UV and IR spectrum have been measured to develope the essential step in antisera production against low molecular weight substance. Mixed anhydride reaction was used to conjugate $11{\alpha}$-hydroxy-progesterone with succinic anhydride. Melting point of one intermediate compound was $156^{\circ}C$, and Rf-value was 0.41 in benzene : acetone : methanol (5 : 5 : 2). Maximum absorbance was measured at 242nm and ${\varepsilon}$ was $1.641{\times}10^4cm^2/mole$. Loss of hydroxy group was observed at 3450nm, and carbonyl group was appeared at 1160nm, 1250nm and 2960nm. These results indicated that the intermediate compound was progesterone hemisuccinate. Maximum absorbance of progesterone bovine-serum albumin(BSA) conjugate was observed at 250nm. Molar ratio of progesterone to BSA was average 15.4 on UV spectrum.
Effect of Indomethacin on Progesterone Profile in Rabbit

배란 및 착상시기에 indomethacin 투여가 혈액의 progesterone 수준과 착상율에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. Progesterone수준은 HCG 주사후 4시간이내에 9ng/ml로 증가 되었다가 배란시에는 3ng/ml로 감소하였다. indomethacin투여구에서는 배란시 8ng/ml를 나타내기 까지 계속증가하였다. Indomethacin투여는 착상을 억제하였다. 대조구의 착상율은 83%이나, indomethacin을 HCG 주사후 1일부터 4일까지 투여하면 착상율은 63%, HCG주사후 5일 부터 8일까지 투여하면 착상율은 27%로 감소하였다. Progesterone 수준은 HCG 주사후 12ng/ml의 높은 수준을 나타내다가 HCG 주사후 3일까지는 3ng/ml이하의 낮은 수준을 나타내였으며 4일 부터는 10ng/ml의 높은 수준을 나타냈다. Indomethacin을 HCG 주사후 5일부터 8일까지 투여하면 HCG 주사후 3일까지는 대조구와 비슷하지만 4일 부터는 5ng/ml이하로 대조구 보다 낮은 수준을 나타냈다.

돈육의 가열과 냉동저장시 잔류된 설폰아미드가 증가 또는 감소되는 정도를 조사하였다. 설파메라진, 설파메타진, 설파모노메톡신, 설파디메톡신, 설파퀴녹사린을 돈육에 100ng/g씩 주사하고 30분간 $60^{\circ}C$로 가열하였을 때 설파메타진은 40%증가하였으나, $60-120^{\circ}C$로 가열한 다른 설폰아미드는 12-22% 감소하였다. 4주간 $-20{^{\circ}C}$이하로 냉동하였을 때, 설파메라진과 설파퀴녹사린은 각각 12%, 19% 감소하였으나 다른 설폰아미드는 변화가 없었다. 설폰아미드의 검출한계는 고상분산을 이용한 정제시 2.6-27ng/g이있으며, 액상분배를 이용한 정제시 25-36ng/g이었다. 본 실험의 결과 돈육중의 설폰아미드는 가열과 냉동저장에 따라 안정성이 변화될 수 있으며, 잔류물 정제방법으로는 고상분산과 액상분배방법을 이용할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
