With the beginning of satellite broadcasting in March 2002, both cable and satellite broadcasting companies have run a number of sexual television programs, so-called adult movies. While first-ever launched satellite broadcasting needed to raise its level of recognition and attract more subscribers, cable broadcasting also began running such TV programs in the competitive domestic broadcasting market. It is certain that nothing is legally wrongdoing because those companies have run the program under several regulations; attaching a sign of over-age-19-rated, airing after 10 p.m., the time period of protecting adolescent, and using Cable Access System. Many parents whose children are teens, however, have railed against the situation that their children could access pornographic-like adult movies at homes. On the contrary, other people contend that it is usual to run adult movies in the West and should be admitted in terms of freedom of expression. This bipolar opinion on airing adult movies results from several reasons. No agreement on the viewpoint approaching adult movies has yet been achieved. And adult movies may seem not that problematically sexual like hard-core pornography to the eyes of people other than parents. This study examines the systemic problem of domestic networks that have produced sexual television programs recently provoking disputes on sex-commodification for female, in view of feminism.
