남해 강진만의 식물상과 귀화식물 분포

본 연구는 경상남도 남해군 강진만 식물상 분포를 정량적으로 밝히고, 향후 강진만 생태계를 친환경적으로 관리·보전하기 위한 기초자료로 활용하기 위해 실시하였다. 강진만의 식물상 조사에서 관속식물은 115과 359속 545종 3아종 54변종 10품종의 총 612분류군이 출현하였다. 국화과가 가장 많은 74분류군(12.09%)이 출현하였고, 다음으로 벼과 59분류군(9.64%), 콩과 33분류군(5.39%), 장미과 32분류군(5.23%), 사초과 20분류군 (3.27%) 등의 순이었다. 희귀식물은 고란초, 쥐방울덩굴, 개지치 등의 13분류군이 출현하였고, 구계학적특정식물은 26과 34속 34종 1변종의 35분류 군이 출현하였으며, 한국특산식물은 8분류군이 출현하였다. 귀화식물은 20과 55속 68종 1변종 69분류군이 출현하였으며, 귀화율은 11.3%, 도시화지수는 21.5%였다. This study was conducted to quantitatively investigate the distribution of vascular plants growing at the Gangjin Bay, Namhae-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, and to use it as basic data for eco-friendly management and conservation of the Gangin Bay ecosystem in the future. Vascular plants of this area consist of total of 612taxa, including 115families, 359genera, 545species, 3sub-species, 54varieties, and 10forms. Asteraceae was the most abundant as 74species (12.09%), followed by Gramineae as 59species (9.64%), Leguminosae as 33species (5.39%), Rosaceae as 32species (5.23%), and Cyperaceae as 20species (3.27%). A total of 13taxa of rare plants such as Crypsinus hastatus, Aristolochia contorta, and Lithospermum arvense etc. were investigated. The floristic special plants were investigated to be 35taxa including 26families, 34genus, 34species, and 1varieties. A total of 8taxa of Korea endemic plants were investigated. Naturalized plant species were 69taxa of 20families, 55genus, 68species, and 1varieties in the Gangjin Bay. The naturalized index and the urbanization index were 11.3% and 21.5%, respectively.

The Governess and the Ghosts in "The Turn of the Screw"

Roughly speaking, there have been two basic interpretatious of Henry James's "The Turn of the Screw" - either the governess is a villainess and there are no ghosts; or there are ghosts, and the children may be villains or innocents, but the governess is an innocent struggling aganinst supernatural evil. This study is to concentrate also upon the problem of the governess and the ghosts but its conclusion is somewhat different from those two interpretations mentioned above. It is that the governess is not normal and the ghosts are real. The meaning of the governess' abnormality is not that she is sexually repressed but that she is over-sensitive for her duty. She presses the innocent children hard and hard till they fall to ruin. The devil is not the ghosts but her warped view itself. As Leon Edel says, that's why this tale belongs to a series of tales that has the theme of smothering the innocent children by the egotism of adults. Ghosts do appear in the tale. Besides the fact that the governes can describe Quint in detail whom she never saw before, there are more reasons to prove the presence of the ghosts. The characteristics of the ghosts in James's other tales such as "Friends of the Friends," "Sir Edmund Orme," "The Third Person" are quit the same as those of the ghosts in "The Turn of the Screw." The ghosts do not take part in any action and are seen only by certain people. The phrase in James's notebook concerning the ghosts of "The Turn of the Screw" call also be a good proof to believe in the presence of the ghosts in this tale.

자동차 공간을 위한 Matrix기반의 상황인식 모델 개발

최근 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 발전과 함께 유비쿼터스 환경에 적용할 수 있는 상황인식 모델에 대한 연구 개발이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문은 자동차 공간을 위한 매트릭스 기반 상황인식 모델을 설계하고 구현하였으며, 상황인식 모델링을 위해 5W1H와 CAM 수식을 이용한 매트릭스 구성 방법을 제안하였다. 개인 식별과 위치 확인을 위한 Zigbee 모듈과 GPS의 현재의 공간과 시간 정보를 위한 네비게이터를 이용하여 제안된 모델을 이용한 시스템을 구현하였다. 시험 결과 제안된 모델이 유용 가능함을 보였다. Recently, with the development of ubiquitous computing, the study and development about context awareness models is required for the application of ubiquitous environment. This paper presents the design and implementation of a matrix based context awareness model for vehicle environment. The matrix construction method using 5W1H and CAM (Context Awareness Model) expression is proposed for context awareness modeling. The system with the proposed model is implemented by Zigbee modules for the recognition of individual identification and position and a navigator for current spatial and temporal information of GPS. The result of experiments shows that the proposed model is available.

간섭(Interference)과 포기(Renunciation) : Henry James 동일주제의 양면 the Two Aspects of the Theme of Henry James's

Henry James's main concerns have to do with the full development of one's self or with those acts that arrest the development. Louise Dauner says, there is the frustration or expansion of human beings experiences in the heart of James's major novels. Therefore, in can be said that James's widely known 'renunciation theme' is about those characters who are frustrated in the expansion of their experiences. Renunciation or frustration alone doesn't represent the whole world of James's works because there are other aspects that have to do with the full development of one's self. In some works such as "Madame do Mauves" or Washington Square, what matters is not only the renunciation of a heroine but the acts that cause the renunciation. Edward D. Aswell says "James was fascinated by the intellectual, emotional and moral complications that arise when an individual interferes in the life of another person." The above mentioned acts that cause renunciation may correspond to what Aswell says interference in the private life of another person.' Thus renunciation and interference consists of the two important aspects of James's imagination. In Washington Square Dr. Sloper interferes in the life of Catherine with the firm conviction that he alone knows what is good to his daughter. Mrs. Penniman advises Catherine to marry Townsend not because Catherine's marrying him is good for Catherine but because through the marriage she can gratify her own curiosity. Thus, Catherine suffers permanent psychological wounds like "a copper kettle that receives a dent." Madame do Mauves in "Madame do Mauves" also withdraws in the citadels of withdrawal in renunciation and spontaneous isolation from the outer world by the interference of Longmore. Longmore's egotistic passion makes Madame do Mauves's isolation much deeper. James is said to be the figure at once most and least appreciated in American writing and it is also said the moaning of James's art is inexhaustible. At the bottom of the unappreciated and unknown meanings of James's works, there is always a vision of the endless development of one's self, and that of renunciation due to interferences.

악인의 전형, 인간의 전형 : 멜빌의「빌리 벋」의 비어

Melville's "Billy Budd" is said to be "the most puzzling masterpiece." It would be essential to understand Vere to fully comprehend the work because "the story's complexity goes in hand with a thickening in the character of Vere." Four notable words, intellect, father, bachelor and marble, are used to describe Vere, the last describing him indirectly. Except for 'intellect,' critics pay no attention to these words in analyzing "Billy Budd," though we find them with ease in the criticism of other works of Melville. Intellect is a sign of evil in Melville. Vere and Claggart have 'more than average intellect' in common. A Bachelor is one who doesn't know what evil is, like Captain Delano in "Benito Cereno" or those sailors of Bachelor who never observed Moby Dick. The Father in Pierre is connected to the evil of the past. Vere is referred to three times as looking like Billy's father. Claggart's forehead looks like the time-tinted marble. The air of the ship after Billy's death is compared to white marble. In Pierre, stone signifies evil deep in human mind and the reality which is full of evil. If Melville's works are "reciprocal and mutual," marble could signify Vere's evil mind and the evil reality man has to face with. To Melville the prototype of evil in man is the extreme fear of the other party. When Claggart was murdered, "Vere's sense of the urgency of the case overruled every other consideration." To surgeon, Vere is thought to be 'unhinged.' By the fear of mutiny, he sentences Billy to death in the name of "measured forms" just as Pierre decided to sacrifice himself in the name of good. Two themes that obsessed Melville are the nature of evil and the ambiguity of appearances as related to evil. It can be concluded that the ambiguous and indirect treatment of Vere is due to the evil in Vere. Vere is a Melville's typical villain, but as his name(vir) suggests, he is a common man.

Henry James is said to be a writer of 'psycho realism' because he, on the basis of realistic view, takes a great interest in the inner life of man. The reason why James has such a deep interest in the inner life is that he thinks the reality of human nature exists in it and the description of man's psychological status is the best way to represent his own sense of value. Daniel Schneider says that James's works examine the cages, hooks and traps employed by the enslaving world. He also says all of the subsidiary themes of James's works may be viewed in relation to this central idea. So it can be said that James's morality also has to do with the 'enslaving world'. In James's moral world;, compulsion and interference to a man is evil while the growth of personality without being intervened is his best good. The growth of personality is accomplished by "being" which means to take part in the objective world and also by "seeing" that means to perceive what "being" means. Washington Square is one of James's first psychological novels, and in it, James's morality is well displayed. Both Dr. Sloper and Mrs. Penniman manipulate and tamper with Catherine, so she is frustrated at the stage of "being". Dr. Sloper intervenes with the thought that he has a right to Catherine's welfare and that he is quite just. Mrs. Penniman is a woman of powerful imagination and she urges and enforces Catherine to do as she wants to because she seeks a vicarious satisfaction in Catherine's love affair with Morris. With the manipulation and tampering of Dr. Sloper and Mrs. Penniman, Catherine is not only frustrated in "being", but receives a fatal mental wound that makes her life wither forever.
