The abnormal low water temperature phenomenon of the Yellow Sea Bottom Cold Water in summer, 1981 is studied on the basis of the oceanographical data collected by the National Fisheries University of Pusan in July, 1981 and Fisheries Research and Development Agency of Korea from 1960 to 1981 and meteorological data within the same 22 years. In winter, 1980 the northwesterly monsoon was vary predominant and the air temperature was lower than that of mean year by 1∼8$^{\circ}C$ and also the surface temperature was lower 1∼3$^{\circ}C$. And then the temperature of the Yellow Sea Bottom Cold Water in summer, 1981 became lower 2∼3$^{\circ}C$ than that of mean year and the influence of this cold water was extended to about 50 miles off the coast of Cheju Island. Comparing with mean year, the water temperature at 30m depth in February, 1981 was lower by 1∼2$^{\circ}C$ in entire regions except near sea of Sohuksando and at 50m depth in August, 1981, it was lower by about 3.5$^{\circ}C$. Particularly, the offshore of Hongdo shower value of 5$^{\circ}C$ than that of mean year. It was found that the abnormal low water temperature phenomenon of Yellow Sea Bottom Cold Water in summer, 1981 resulted from the sea surface cooling by the predominant northwestly monsoon and abnormally low air temperature in winter, 1980.

Dubowski法에 依한 血糖正量을 Folin-Wu법과 比較 觀察하여 다음고 같은 結果를 얻었다. 1. Dubowski법은 Folin-Wu法에 比하여 眞正한 血糖値에 近似하였으며 操作이 매우 簡便하였다. 2. 同一人의 血液에 있어서 Dubowski法에 依한 血糖値는 Folin-쪄法보다 25±5.5mg% 낮게 나왔다. 3. 還元性 物質의 影響은 galactoe에서 顯著하였으나 tascorbic acid 및 glycine에 對한 影響은 輕微하였다. 4. 70mg% 以下의 低濃度와 600mg%以下ml 高濃度의 glucose溶液에서 標準檢査線과 一致하지 않으나 血液 使用量을 2倍量 或은 2倍 稀釋하여 使用하므로서 橋正이 可能하였다. 5. 全般的으로 Dubowski法에 依한 血糖正量法은 簡便하고 經濟的이며 손쉽게 試藥을 얻을 수 있는 長點이 있었다. Today we are facing to perform the gradually increasing numbers of laboratory examinations for diabetes, and then recenly there has been required more simple and accurate method for the determination of blood glucose. The author attempted to evaluate one of the newest method. Dubowski method along popular Folin-Wu method is the substitution old method for new method. 39 cases of randome samples from normal and diabetics were determined. The principle of Dubowski method is base upon the reaction between the o-toluidine reagent in glacial acetic acid and blood glucose resulting in green color development (glycosylamine). The maximum absorbance was taken at 630 mμ with Coleman Junior Model 6D spectrophotometer. Dubowski method was thought to be more convenient and simple as well as the result was more close to true glucose level than Folin-Wu method with the mean difference 25±5.5mg% between two methods. Dubowski method tended to reveal considerable effect by other reducing substance, especially galactose and lactose, but not by ascorbic acid and glycin.

To investigate seasonal variations of sea surface heat flux in 1995 and 1996. we calculated the sea sur-face heat flux based on Elliott's model(1991) using the oceanic and meterorological data given by Marine Research Institute, Cheju National University. The calculated results showed that the plus heat flux hap pened during summer(June, July, August) while the minus one in wintedDecember. January, February). The minus value changed to the plus one during spring. However plus value changed to the minus one during autumn. And during observation periods from 1995 to 1996, the averaged minus heat flux was larger than the plus one. It can be explained that the heat flux in Cheju Island are strongly related to the warm current system near Cheju Island.
