        Who Are Domestic Travel Agency Users and Who Buys Full Package Trips? A Study of Korean Outbound Travelers

        The purpose of this study is to identify differences based on demographic characteristics and travel-related characteristics: first, whether travelers used a domestic travel agency and second whether travelers purchased a full-package travel program. A sample selection probit model was used to provide simultaneous evaluation of the different characteristics of outbound travelers. The present study investigates how tourists make decisions based on two travel-pattern choices. It then goes on to explore the characteristics of outbound travelers from South Korea. The data is drawn from a nationwide survey in South Korea, and a total of 859 surveys were used for analysis. Due to the interdependent nature of the choices, a sample selection probit model was used to estimate outbound tourists’ use of domestic travel agency and purchase of full travel package. Significant determinants of domestic travel agency use are identified as age, gender, marital status, party size, children, length of travel, and travel distance, while those of full travel package purchase are age, marital status, and travel purpose. Estimated results provide manifestations of differing travel needs of outbound travelers. the results of this study demonstrate differences between travel-agency users and full-package travel-program consumers and provide determinants that affect the purchase of full-package travel.

        핵백내장에서 파장가변 빛간섭단층촬영계를 이용한 굴절력 예측의 정확성

        Purpose: To evaluate the accuracy of predicting refractive outcomes of swept-source optical coherence tomography based biometry (ARGOS; Movu Inc., Santa Clara, CA, USA) in nuclear cataracts. Methods: A total of 107 eyes (107 nuclear cataract patients) were analyzed. Subjects were divided into three groups according to the maximum nuclear density of Pentacam HR (A, lower tertile; B, medium tertile; C, upper tertile). The keratometry and axial length measured by IOLMaster (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Jena, Germany) and ARGOS systems were compared for each group. The correlation between maximum nuclear density and axial length difference readings from the two instruments was evaluated. The mean absolute error between the predicted refraction and 2-month post-operative refraction was compared. Results: The maximum nuclear densities were 28.31 ± 7.30, 51.37 ± 7.82, and 88.63 ± 11.23 for groups A, B, and C, respectively. The axial length measured by ARGOS was significantly longer than that obtained using IOLMaster for groups B and C (respectively, p = 0.035, p < 0.001). A significantly positive correlation was found between the maximum nuclear density and axial length difference of the two devices (p < 0.001). Mean absolute errors were not significantly different between IOLMaster and ARGOS in group A. However, in groups B and C, the mean absolute error using ARGOS (0.31 ± 0.22 D and 0.32 ± 0.20 D, respectively) was significantly lower than that of IOLMaster (0.43 ± 0.21 D and 0.50 ± 0.26 D, respectively) (Group B, p = 0.027; Group C, p = 0.001). Conclusions: Even in dense nuclear cataracts, accurate refractive outcome prediction was possible using swept-source optical coherence tomography based biometry. 목적: 핵백내장에서 파장가변 빛간섭단층촬영계(ARGOS)를 이용한 굴절력 예측의 정확성을 평가하고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 핵백내장으로 진단받은 107안을 대상으로 Pentacam HR로 측정한 최대 핵 밀도(maximum nuclear density)에 따라 세 그룹(A, 하위; B, 중위; C, 상위)으로 나누어 IOLMaster와 ARGOS로 측정한 각막굴절력과 안축장을 비교하였다. 최대 핵 밀도와 두 기기 간의 안축장 차이의 상관성을 평가하였고, 수술 2개월 후 자동굴절검사를 이용하여 측정한 최종 굴절력에서 예상 굴절력을 뺀 차이의 절대값으로 오차를 계산하였다. 결과: 최대 핵 밀도는 그룹 A, B, C가 각각 28.31 ± 7.30, 51.37 ± 7.82, 88.63 ± 11.23이었다. IOLMaster와 ARGOS에서 측정된 안축장은 그룹 B와 C에서 IOLMaster가 ARGOS에 비해 유의하게 길게 측정되었고(각각, p=0.035, p<0.001), 최대 핵 밀도와 두 기기 간 안축장 차이는 유의한 양의 상관성을 보였다(p<0.001). 각각의 기기에서 측정된 생체계측치에 대한 평균절대오차는 그룹 A에서 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나(p=0.064), 그룹 B와 C에서 ARGOS (0.31 ± 0.22D, 0.32 ± 0.20D)를 이용하여 계산된 평균절대오차가 IOLMaster (0.43 ± 0.21D, 0.50 ± 0.26D)에 비하여 유의하게 낮았다(각각, p=0.027, p=0.001). 결론: 파장가변 빛간섭단층촬영계를 이용하여 생체계측을 시행하였을 때, 중등도 이상의 핵백내장에서도 정확한 굴절력 예측이 가능하였다.

        한국 TV 드라마에 나타난 ‘디자인’과 ‘디자이너’의 이미지 연구 -1990년대 후반부터 2000년대 중반까지 트렌디 드라마를 중심으로-

        By analyzing the images of design and designers shown in the TV drama, this study was attempted to identify the actual public-recognized ‘design’ and ‘designer’ entities, prepare basic data on the direction of image construction, and further establish desirable awards. To this end, four TV dramas featuring designers were analyzed, examining the role of ‘design’reproduced in the drama and the way they express their work, and analyzing the look, professionalism, and role of ‘designer.’ As a result, ‘design’ in the drama was first represented by visual images that could be seen as synonymous with ‘sketch’, secondly, it was an effective means for generating profits for companies, and thirdly, design as a means of expressing social class. Despite the diverse roles of ‘design’ in society, the design that the drama was represented was converging in this way. Next, the designer's image is divided into a brilliantly trained designer and a simple, passionate and talented designer. This representation creates a typical image of a female designer. In addition, the designer's professionalism made sketching a top priority in all four dramas. This seems to be based on reality, but as John Fiske puts it, it is a fragmentary representation of the ‘coded reality’. The images of designs and designers produced through drama are repeated in a customary and standardized form. Therefore, more thorough preliminary investigation and practical observation are required in drama reproduction. 본 연구는 TV 드라마에 나타난 ‘디자인’과 ‘디자이너’의 이미지를 분석해 봄으로써 실제 대중들에게 인식되는 ‘디자인’과 ‘디자이너’의 실체를 파악하여, 보다 발전된 이미지 구축을 위한 기초 자료를 마련하고, 나아가 바람직한 상(像)을 정립하기 위하여 시도되었다. 이를 위해 디자이너가 주인공으로 등장하는 TV 드라마 네 편을 분석하여, 드라마에 재현된 ‘디자인’의 역할 및 업무에 대한 표현 방식을 고찰하고 ‘디자이너’가 갖는 외형 이미지와 전문성, 역할 등을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 드라마 속 ‘디자인’은 첫째, ‘스케치’와 동의어로 보일 수 있을 만큼 시각적 이미지로 대변되고 있었으며, 둘째, 기업의 이윤창출을 위한 효과적인 수단이며, 셋째, 디자인은 사회적 계급을 표현하는 수단으로 나타났다. 사회 내에서 ‘디자인’의 역할이 다양함에도 불구하고 드라마가 주목한 '디자인'은 경제적 성과로 수렴되고 있었다. 또한 ‘디자이너’의 이미지에 관하여서는 전문 교육을 받은 화려한 모습의 디자이너와 열정과 실력을 갖춘 소박한 모습의 디자이너로 양분되었는데, 특히 이러한 재현 방식은 여성 디자이너에 대한 전형적인 이미지를 만들어내는 것이다. 또한 디자이너의 전문성은 네 편의 드라마 모두에서 스케치 능력을 최고의 가치로 삼고 있었다. 이는 현실에 기반한 것처럼 보이지만, 존 피스크(John Fiske)의 말대로 ‘부호화된 현실’을 단편적으로 보여주는 것이라 할 수 있다. 드라마를 통해 생산되는 디자인과 디자이너에 대한 이미지는 관습적이고 정형화된 형태로 반복되고 있으며, 따라서 드라마 재현에 있어서 보다 철저한 사전 조사와 실제적인 관찰이 요구된다.

      • 쌍입력 기술함수를 갖는 비선형 제어기를 이용한 직류전동기 위치제어시스템에 관한 연구

        In this paper, a new controller design method for DC motor Control is presented, which we can satisfy the given specifications more easily than the existing one. There are lots of method for DC motor position control, for example a phase lead-lag or PID compensator. However, though these methods have its advantage for controller design such as simplicity, it is still difficult to adjust the phase margin and bandwidth of the system. Here, we suggest an improved PDFF(Integral with Proportional-Derivative- plus-Feedforward) system by which both margin and bandwidth are controlled simultaneously. That is, replacing the feed forward term in the PDFF system with a CDIDF(Complex Dual Input Describing Function), the desired phase margin is obtained without diminishing the bandwidth of the closed loop system. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed through simulation. As a result of this, we know that it is possible to adjust overall specification by varying parameters in the improved PDFF system.

        This paper deals with the excitation voltage and current waveforms of 3-phase SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) using a proposed inverter which is appended with a voltage boost circuit to improve its performance. The voltage boost circuit is consist of a diode and a capacitor. The drive which is actuated by three boost circuits will be shown short rising and falling time of phase currents compared with those of any other conventional inverter. Since average phase current value of the SRM is increased in the running with constant do link voltage, the output power of the motor is somewhat increased. The proper capacitance of voltage boost circuit should be calculated, otherwise capacitor's effect in the circuit could be extremely large or insignificant. And although there are difference between them, the predicted and measured results of the circuit are somewhat agreed each other.
