산업자원부는 우리나라 공작기계산업의 선진화와 일류화를 위해 중장기적인 기술개발 프로그램을 본격 가동하여 지난해 말부터 향후 5년간 1,2단계로 나누어 약 280억원(정부:160억원 민간:120억원)을 집중 투자 개발하기로 하였다. 본 연구는 한국기계연구원(원장 황해용)의 총괄사업책임자인 박종권 박사 연구팀을 통해 산ㆍ학ㆍ연의 협동체제를 구축하여 개발되는 것으로서 21세기 기술선진국 진입을 위해 고부가가치로 국제경쟁력이 높으면서 전 산업으로의 기술적, 경제적 파급효과가 크고 5년 내외에 실용화 및 상품화가 가능하여 시장성과 직결될 수 있는 과제를 세부개발 목표로 하여 추진하게 된다.
백서를 이용한 동맥폐쇄성 장허혈에서 혈관확장제 Papaverine의 복막내 투여시 해로운 영향

This study assessed the effect of vasodilator papaverine for the occlusive mesenteric ischemia in rats. Papaverine has been used for the treatment of nonocclusive mesenteric ischemia(NOMI), but its peripheral administration for the occlusive mesentric ischemia is known hazardous. This experiment was performed to confirm the detrimental effect of the peripheral administration of papaverine for the occlusive mesenteric ischemia in rats. The experimental animals were assigned to one of three groups. In the control group, laparotorny and thoracotomy were performed and blood samples were obtained from right atria of the rats. In one experimental group, after laparotomy and SMA ligation, papaverine was injected into the parietal peritoneum and the abdomens were closed. In the other experimental group, after laparotomy and SMA ligation, abdominal closures were perfonned. It is known that mesenteric infarction causes elevation of total serum creatine phosphokinase(CPK) and each of its three isoenzymes and it is also known that CPK BB isoenzyme is the earliest isoauyme of the three. In this experiment, although there were no statistical significances, total CPK and all its tlme isoenzymes showed higher levels after 1hour in SMA ligation with papaverine treated group than those in SMA ligation alone group. And especially CPK BB isoauyme revealed higher levels after 30 minutes in SMA ligation with papaverine treated group than that in SMA ligation alone. Therefore it is supposed that peritoneal injection of vasodilator papaverine might be hazardous for the occlusive mesenteric ischemia in rats.
Modified H-shaped Antenna Design for Harmonic Suppression

In this paper, a modified H-shaped patch antenna was designed to remove the second and third harmonics generated by the diode of the rectifying circuit in the 2.45 GHz wireless power transmission system. The proposed antenna was designed using a commercial tool, HFSS, and manufactured/measured using an FR4 substrate. The partial ground plane technique was used in the design of the proposed antenna. Reflection loss was measured and the reflection loss characteristics, radiation patterns, and antenna gains were simulated due to changes in various antenna parameters. The measured reflection loss was in good agreement with the simulation results, and it was confirmed that the second and third harmonic components generated by the diode were well removed.

Purpose: Antiphospholipid syndrome is a disorder of recurrent vascular thrombosis, recurrent abortion, thrombocytopenia, neurologic disorders associated with the elevation of antiphospholipid antibodies. The aim of our study was to characterize the patient profile and frequency of antiphospholipid syndrome in patients with deep vein thrombosis of the lower legs. Method: From January 1998 to December 1999, 25 patients with the lower leg swelling were classified according to their risk factors. Deep vein thrombosis was confirmed by radiologic diagnosis such as duplex ultrasonography or venography. The items for the identification of hypercoagulability were antithrombin III, protein-C, protein-S, lupus anticoagulant, anticardiolipin antibody (IgG). For the differential diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus, we tested antinuclear antibody and anti-dsDNA for the patients with positive results of antiphospholipid antibodies. Antiphospholipid syndrome was diagnosed according to its criteria. Result: Of the 25 patients with the lower leg swelling, 17 patents (68%) were revealed to have deep vein thrombosis. In that 17 patients, 8 patients showed hypercoagulabilities including 4 patients (24%) with positive test for lupus anticoagulant, 1 patient (6%) with combined multiple abnormalities of protein C and protein S deficiencies and lupus anticoagulant positivity, 2 patients (12%) with antithrombin III deficiencies, 1 patient (6%) with protein C deficiency, and there was no patient with IgG type anticardiolipin antibody positivity. According to the American Rheumatism Association criteria (ARA), there was no patient with systemic lupus erythematosus, but we could find out 1 patient (6%) who met the dagnostic criteria of antiphospho-lipid syndrome. Conclusion: In our study, 6% (lof 17) of patient with the lower leg deep vein thrombosis revealed antiphospholipid syndrome. We described the clinical profile and diagnostic process of antiphospholipid syndrome in this study.
