Regarding the subject, <Mong-yu-ga-sa> in general which has just one narrator, has a mission to delivery moral message or to suggest an ideology. However, <Mong-yu-ga-sa>, which has a couple of narrators, has a intention to reveal a fantastic life in multi-dimensional framework of dream by utilizing discussion and debate between them. It seems that the author of <Ok-gyeong-mong-yu-ga> was the regional governor (Tae-su), in Bok-cheon area but his name has not been known. In this poem, the author tried to unite himself with nature as well as to show heaven life by becoming a hermit by himself living in <So-ak-ru>.

        南尙敎 <美人詩>의 戀情歌辭的 性格 考察

        김팔남(Pal-nam Kim) 어문연구학회 2004 어문연구 Vol.46 No.-

This work aims to investigate characteristics of love song expressed in <Mi-in-si> written by Nam, sang-gyo, in terms of both its structure and narrative skills. <Mi-in-si> is a love song written in chines letter with 18 lines recorded in <U-chon-si-go> which had collected many songs made by Nam, sang-gyo and had been possessed by Nak-eun, Kang, jeon-seb. For this work, I compared this song with the <Chun-myeon-gok>, to which is very similar in the perspective of emotion, structure and narrative skills. Its structure is composed of 10 story items which are seeing(見), introducing(媒), meeting(逢), promising(約), sexual harassment(弄), say goodbye(送), thinking seriously(思), strong wish(待), accusing myself(責) and dreaming(夢). The narrative skills of love song are summarized as three types such as sameness between author and narrator, indirect expression and metaphorical eroticism, and conventional represent including the description of background and speaker's mind and insert of dream. As a concluding remark, I confirmed that <Mi-in-si> has a lot of characteristics of love song. In addition, through this work, I came to know that Nam, sang-gyo was a good poet, even though he had been normally known as one of the blessed martyrs in the Catholic Church as well as an agricultural researcher and a respective administrator in Yi Dynasty.

        戀情歌辭 <僧歌>의 實相 考察

        김팔남 한국어문학회 2003 語文學 Vol.0 No.81

<Seung-ga> is a type of the love song that a Buddhist nun makes Questions and answers with a man. Since there are still some discussions whether the <Seung-ga> was a non-fiction story, my work aims to confirm that the <Seung-ga> is a real story and to point out who was the author and when it was written, based mainly on the『Chu-je-jeep』 written by Jo Su-sam. The main findings of my work are summarized as follows. Firstly, I suggest that authors were both 'Nam Cheal' who belonged the upper class and 'Ok Sean' who was a Buddhist nun. Secondly, I guess that the <Seung-ga> was made in around 1723. In addition, I found that the <Seung-ga> was very popular in that time so that it was recorded very frequently and continuously in『ga-sa-jeep』, the music collection book.

        연정가사의 형성 배경에 대하여

        김팔남 한국고시가문학회 2005 한국시가문화연구 Vol.0 No.15

This paper tries to newly call love songs between male and female in Jo-seon Dynasty <Yeon-jeong-ga-sa>, in contrast to the conventional definition, namely <Ae-jeong-ga-sa>. In addition, it aims to investigate the background of formation of these songs. Until now, there has been a strong assumption that these kind of songs had been written in late Dynasty, in that there has been not nearly made love songs because the Jo-seon Dynasty adopted Confucianism as a common moral and a political philosophy. However, I found that there have been 71 love songs through investigating the related books and materials which have been still available. On the basis of above discussions, I categorized the formation backgrond of <Yeon-jeong-ga-sa> in both early and late Jo-seon into two types. While I dealt with the general trend, that is open description of sex, in literature and art in the perspective of outside influences, I did the method of creation and narration in early love songs, and progressive emotion of female writers in the view of inside impact. Particularly, regarding the inside impact, I confirmed that <Yeon-jeong-ga-sa> was much influenced by the skill of praise in the <Mi-in-byeol-gok>, the recognization of feminism in the <Won-bu-sa> and the method of narration in the <Sa-mi-in-gok> and the <Sok-mu-in-gok>.
