유아들은 창의성이 발달하는 시기인 동시에 또한 취학 연령을 전후로 주입식교육의 영향으로 감소하는 경향을 보인다. 따라서 이 시기의 유아들에게 좋은 내용의 창의성을 충분하게 가르치는 것은 대단히 중요하다. 이를 위해 먼저 이들의 창의성을 제대로 진단하는 도구에 대한 연구가 필요하다. Guilford (1950)가 창의성의 개념을 인지적 관점에서 체계화한 이래 일반인은 물론 유아들의 창의 성진단을 언어를 중심으로 실시해왔다. 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 김상윤(1997)은 칠교판을 이용하여 다양한 모양의 조각들을 가지고 형태를 구성하고 그 이름을 붙이는 반응을 기초로 언어 외에 도형에 관한 반응에 추점을 둔 유아용 칠교판 창의성검사 도구를 개발한 바 있다. 이와 함께 초둥학생들은 조각을 손으로 조작하는 대신 연필로 그림을 그릴 수 있기 때문에 이러한 그림의 구성을 기초로 초등학생용 창의성검사 도구를 따로 개발(김상윤, 2003)하였다. 그러나 유아용 칠교판창의성검사를 실시할 때에는 현장에서 그들이 만든 조각들의 모양을 교사가 대신하여 그려야 하는 번거로움이 있어 보다 쉬운 검사도 구가 필요하였다. 이에 초등학생용 창의성검사에서 알파벳으로 그림을 그리는 방법을 도입하여 일정한 그림을 먼저 제시하고 그 그림 속에서 어떤 알파벳이 보이는지를 비교하여 개인차를 알아보고 이것이 실제로 교사들의 견해와 어떤 상관이 있는지 확인하며 이를 기초로 보다 간편하고도 타당한 유아용 창의성검사를 개발하고자 한다.
만성간질환(慢性肝疾患)에 대한 Glutathion(TATHION)의 임상적(臨床的) 관찰

In this report, clinical effects on the chronic liver diseases, 9 cases of active chronic hepatitis and 5 cases of postnecrotic cirrhosis, were discussed with administration of TATHION (glutathione). All of the cases were injected 100 ㎎. of TATHION daily for 45-72 days. According to follow up observation, most of the patients felt good condition on the subjective symptoms. Particularly general fatigue, anorexia and nausea were disappeared during a couple of weeks with TATHION injection. On the liver function tests the patients except three complicated and physical signs also remarkable recovery could be seen in cases.
Sparsely-synchronized Brain Rhythm in a Small-world Neural Network

Sparsely-synchronized cortical rhythms, associated with diverse cognitive functions, have been observed in electric recordings of brain activity. At the population level, cortical rhythms exhibit small-amplitude fast oscillations while at the cellular level, individual neurons show stochastic firings sparsely at a much lower rate than the population rate. We study the effect of network architecture on sparse synchronization in an inhibitory population of subthreshold Morris-Lecar neurons (which cannot fire spontaneously without noise). Previously, sparse synchronization was found to occur for cases of both global coupling (i.e., regular all-to-all coupling) and random coupling. However,a real neural network is known to be non-regular and non-random. Here, we consider sparse Watts-Strogatz small-world networks which interpolate between a regular lattice and a random graph via rewiring. We start from a regular lattice with only short-range connections and then investigate the emergence of sparse synchronization by increasing the rewiring probability p for the short-range connections. For p = 0, the average synaptic path length between pairs of neurons becomes long; hence, only an unsynchronized population state exists because the global efficiency of information transfer is low. However, as p is increased, long-range connections begin to appear, and global effective communication between distant neurons may be available via shorter synaptic paths. Consequently, as p passes a threshold pth ( 0.044), sparsely-synchronized population rhythms emerge. However, with increasing p, longer axon wirings become expensive because of their material and energy costs. At an optimal value p∗DE ( 0.24) of the rewiring probability, the ratio of the synchrony degree to the wiring cost is found to become maximal. In this way, an optimal sparse synchronization is found to occur at a minimal wiring cost in an economic small-world network through trade-off between synchrony and wiring cost.

Twenty-six-year-old Ebstein’s anomaly patient, who had failed both biventricular and one-and-a-half repair, underwent right ventricle exclusion and Fontan operation. She completed pregnancy and delivery owing to the excellent long-term clinical course. Although the caesarean section was performed due to symptoms of heart failure on the gestational age of 32+6 weeks, preterm delivery was agreeable with neonatology support. In Korea, there has not yet been a case of pregnancy and delivery of functional single ventricle patient because most patients have been discouraged from getting pregnant. However, functional single ventricle patient can endure pregnancy and delivery, if valve function and ventricular contractility, status of Fontan pathway and absence of arrhythmia predict favorable outcome as presented in this case. Although the patient maintained her pregnancy without anticoagulation owing to laminar flow in the Fontan pathway and absence of thromboembolic event, anticoagulation should be considered, weighing the benefits and risks during the pregnancy
