High throughput fluorescence activated cell sorting via DNA nanostructure-based labelling system

As engaged with cutting-edge detecting technologies of flow cytometry, some suspicious diseases are reasonably detectable in both spatial and temporal mode. A number of fluorescent dyes have been available to probe cell objects at the same time, resulting in multiplexed detection of disease-related markers. However, few attempts to multiply a species of fluorescent colors have been developed. The number of simultaneously expressible fluorescent colors was much restricted. Even with a few of laser sources, there still exists small numbers of color codes that may be expressed simultaneously at a time. In this study, we demonstrate to manifest multi-fluorescent colors formed by a complex of a small quantity of dyes, then leading to the maximal operation of current flow cytometry. It is highly expected that this system will provide much efficient multiplexed fluorescent detections in bioanalysis as compared to one-to-one fluorescent correspondence for disease marker detection.
