        Influence of pH on Hygral Expansion, Relaxation Shrinkage and Extensibility of Wool Fabric

        The standard tests for relaxation shrinkage and hygral expansion of wool fabric take no account of pH. It is shown in this work that the pH of the solution in which wool fabric is relaxed as part of the procedure for measuring dimensional properties has a significant influence on the results. At around pH 4.8, which is close to the isoelectric point of wool, the hygral expansion reaches its greatest value and drops at both lower and higher pHs. A similar relationship between pH and extensibility of wool fabric was observed. Values of relaxation shrinkage were found to be dependant on pH. The reasons for the pH dependence of dimensional properties are discussed and these include changes in wool fiber swelling, yam crimp and polymer relaxation phenomena with changes in pH.

        모직물의 접착심 접착에 의한 물성의 변화 (제2보)

        This paper described the changes of peel strength, wrinkle recovery and dimensional stability after fusing 4 different wool face fabrics with 3 different fusible interlinings. The fusing condition was conducted by fusing press machine under 4kg·f/cm^2 at 150℃. To determine the effect of the various physical properties of the fused fabrics, face fabrics and interlinings on the peel strength, wrinkle recovery and dimensional stability(hygral expansion and relaxation shrinkage) of fused fabrics, correlation among the KES values of fused fabrics of fused fabrics, face fabrics and interlinings to the peel strength, wrinkle recovery and dimensional stability of fused fabrics were experimentally analyzed. As the results, the peel strength was mainly influenced by the cover factor of face fabric and interlinings. After fusing wrinkle recovery and hygral expansion were decreased. The cover factor, wrinkle recovery, weight, thickness, shear rigidity and frictional properties of face fabric, and the thickness of fused fabrics were highly correlated with the wrinkle recovery of fused fabrics. But the physical properties of the interlinings did not influence to the wrinkle recovery of fused fabrics. In addition, the dimensional stabilities of fused fabrics were mainly influenced by the tensile and frictional properties of the face fabrics.

        고감성 의류용 수분감응형 인텔리전트 소재의 물성

        본 연구는 수분감응형섬유와 이들로 만들어진 니트의 흡습성, 건조특성 그리고 수분자발신장성과 같은 물성과 이들 니트소재의 여러 가지 염색시간과 온도에 따른 염색특성을 조사한다. 이를 위해서 HEF와 spandex를 심사로 사용하고 일반 PET와 aerocool 필라멘트를 커버링사로 사용한 3가지의 커버링사 시료를 준비하고 이들을 사용하여 3가지의 니트시료를 편직하고 이들을 염색온도와 시간을 달리하여 염색을 실시하였다. 3가지 니트시료의 흡습성, 건조특성 그리고 가역적 수축현상 등의 물성을 측정하고 실의 특성과 함께 분석하였으며 이들 니트시료의 착용성을 FAST 시스템을 사용하여 측정하고 분석하였다. 그리고 이들 니트시료의 염착성, 색차 그리고 세탁견뢰도 등과 같은 염색특성을 측정하고 수분감응형 니트소재의 염색공정특성을 알아보기 위해 염색시간과 온도에 따른 이들 염착특성을 분석하였다. This paper investigates the physical properties such as water absorption, drying and hygral expansion of moisture responded transformable fibers and their knitted fabrics including dyeing characteristics according to the different dyeing time and temperature. For this purpose, three kinds of covered filament yarn specimens using HEF and spandex as core and PET, aero cool as a covering filament were prepared. The knitted fabric specimens were made using three kinds yarn specimens and dyed with different dyeing temperature and time. The moisture absorption, drying and hygral expansion of three kinds of knitted fabric specimens were measured and discussed with yarn structure. The wearing performance of these knitted fabric specimens were also measured and discussed with yarn characteristics using FAST system. Finally, the dyeing characteristics such as dye affinity, color difference and color fastness to washing of these knitted fabric specimens were measured and discussed with different dyeing temperature and time for examining dyeing process performance of these moisture responded transformable knitted fabrics.

        모직물의 수분율 변화와 구조에 따른 기공도 및 수분전달 특성 변화

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of pore area and water vapour transport by the changes of moisture regain and fabric structure of wool fabrics. As specimens 4 worsted wool fabrics were used. The pore area were measured by image analysis method and dinamic vapour transport and water reisitance was determined by clothing-environmentbody modelling system. The pore area was changed by the moisture regain of wool fabrics. The change of pore area was influenced by the yarn twist, thread count and cover factor, and the weave type. The water vapour transport was changed by the moisture regain. The change of water vapour transport was influenced by the change of pore area, which was determined by image analysis
