대학생들의 피부관리 실태와 선호도에 관한 연구

김진아 ( Jin A Kim ),박선우 ( Sun Woo Park ),손희애 ( Hee Ae Sohn ),제갈미 ( Mi Jegal ),손아름 ( Ah Reum Sohn ) 한국미용학회 2008 한국미용학회지 Vol.14 No.4

This research carried out for the university students in a situation of thinking of how important their appearance is and was aimed at their skin care type for getting how to instruct properly or improve management program. Therefore, it can help to approach a successful way of the industrial cosmetic treatment. This investigation was performed for male and female university students in Seoul from December 11th to December 25th in 2006 and the questionnaires are related to a demography trait, eating habits, skin condition and preferenc. As for male students, the best purpose of skin care is for sexual attraction (18.8%). However, in case of female, the prevention of troubling skin (17.0%) is the main purpose of skin care. They prefer a professional care shop or a dermatological clinic to address their concern of skin trouble. However, because of expensive costs, they are usually using cosmetic stores (81.9%). Students with Oily skin (10.8%) and mixed (Oily & dry) skin prefer taking intensive skin care to improve their skin trouble (14.3%). The statistical data show that the students having bad eating patterns or deadly trouble skin type devoted theirselves to managing their skin. In smoking and drinking habit, female students had lower frequency than male students. However, in skin care, female students had higher frequency than male students. In case of older students, they could not retain their skin clearly. Accordingly, the professional care shops have to look for a great instruction of skin care and development of program, considering what the students need.

Skin Pigment Recognition using Projective Hemoglobin- Melanin Coordinate Measurements

        Liu Yang,Suk-Hwan Lee,Seong-Geun Kwon,Ha-Joo Song,Ki-Ryong Kwon 대한전기학회 2016 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.11 No.6

The detection of skin pigment is crucial in the diagnosis of skin diseases and in the evaluation of medical cosmetics and hairdressing. Accuracy in the detection is a basis for the prompt cure of skin diseases. This study presents a method to recognize and measure human skin pigment using Hemoglobin-Melanin (HM) coordinate. The proposed method extracts the skin area through a Gaussian skin-color model estimated from statistical analysis and decomposes the skin area into two pigments of hemoglobin and melanin using an Independent Component Analysis (ICA) algorithm. Then, we divide the two-dimensional (2D) HM coordinate into rectangular bins and compute the location histograms of hemoglobin and melanin for all the bins. We label the skin pigment of hemoglobin, melanin, and normal skin on all bins according to the Bayesian classifier. These bin-based HM projective histograms can quantify the skin pigment and compute the standard deviation on the total quantification of skin pigments surrounding normal skin. We tested our scheme using images taken under different illumination conditions. Several cosmetic coverings were used to test the performance of the proposed method. The experimental results show that the proposed method can detect skin pigments with more accuracy and evaluate cosmetic covering effects more effectively than conventional methods.

모녀간 피부 특성의 상관관계에 대한 연구

조가영 ( Ga Young Cho ),김지연 ( Jee Yeun Kim ),염명훈 ( Myeong Hun Yeom ),조준철 ( Jun Chul Cho ),김종일 ( Jong Il Kim ),김윤범 ( Yoon Bum Kim ) 대한한방부인과학회 2012 大韓韓方婦人科學會誌 Vol.25 No.4

Objectives: It is well known that genetic factors and environmental factors play major role in aging skin. In general, son and daughter take after their parents in appearance. But comparability of skin properties in Korean family has not been well estimated. So we evaluated the correlation of skin properties in Korean mother-daughter pairs. Methods: 10 couples of mother and daughter pair(n=20) participate in this study. Mothers and daughters were aged 50.6±2.459 and 23.8±2.15 years, respectively. Skin moisture, sebum, skin color and elasticity is measured using non-invasive method: Corneometer CM825, Sebumeter(MPA580), Mexameter MX18, Cutometer MPA580. Statistical analysis program we used is Minitab 14 Korea. Results: The Skin moisture of mother group was significantly higher than daughter group. And skin elasticity(R2) of the daughter group was significantly higher than mother group. In the results of correlation analysis between mother and daughter pairs, skin elasticity(R2) had high positive correlation(r=0.729, p=0.026). But skin moisture, sebum, melanin index, erythema index and skin elasticity(R5) did not be confirmed a significant correlation. Conclusions: Skin elasticity(R2) is the only factor that showed high positive correlation significantly in mother and daughter pairs. Mother and daughter share the genetic factors and environmental factors that influence skin aging. So, mother`s aging pattern will be a good guide for anti-aging of daughters.

        정욱,Liu Danyang,김옥준 대한구강악안면병리학회 2022 대한구강악안면병리학회지 Vol.46 No.6

The beauty industry is more and more expanding due to the continuously increased interest in appearance and consumer purchases. Especially for home beauty devices, their interests hve been increased since the outbreak of COVID-19. Over the past 20 years, various studies have been conducted on beauty device, but Galvanic device has not been enough. In this study, 24 adult women, aged 43 to 59, were conducted a survey and skin analysis before and after using galvanic LED skin device for four weeks. Skin analysis was carried out by Antrea 3D(Miravex Ltd., Ireland), F-ray(BEYOUNG Co., Korea), and DUB SkinScanner(tpm Co., Germany). According to the survey, few people experienced skin-care shops or beauty devices, but many people responded positive after using the device. For the results of eye wrinkles, the average depth of wrinkles was significantly reduced(improved) in the top 25% group of subjects, and the wrinkles around the mouth were also significantly reduced(improved). Before using the device, the lifting around the eyes increased significantly from the middle 50% of the skin's sagging angle. Although the cheek area decreased (improved), the skin density increased(improved) significantly in the lower 75% of subjects with low skin density before use. The pore volumn was significantly reduced(improved) from 25% of the average pore volume before use. Pore area, density, count, depth and filling were significantly reduced(improved) from the top 75% of the skin conditions before use. For pore binding, the pore roughness value before use of the device was significantly reduced(improved) in all subjects. From the above results, it can be noted that the wrinkles, lifting, skin density and pores of galvanic LED skin beauty device have been improved. In addition, subjects with poor skin conditions showed greater improvement than those with good skin conditions.

Molecular Mechanisms and In Vivo Mouse Models of Skin Aging Associated with Dermal Matrix Alterations

        Kyung-A Hwang,Bo-Rim Yi,Kyung-Chul Choi 한국실험동물학회 2011 Laboratory Animal Research Vol.27 No.1

Skin is the most superficial body organ and plays an important role in protecting the body from environmental damage and in forming social relations. With the increase of the aging population in our society, dermatological and cosmetic concerns of skin aging are rapidly increasing. Skin aging is a complex process combined with intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic or chronological skin aging results from the passage of time and is influenced by genetic factors. Extrinsic skin aging is mainly determined by UV irradiation, also called photoaging. These two types of aging processes are superimposed on sunexposed skin, and have a common feature of causing dermal matrix alterations that mostly contribute to the formation of wrinkles, laxity, and fragility of aged skin. The dermal matrix contains extracellular matrix proteins such as collagen, elastin, and proteoglycans that confer the strength and resiliency of skin. Skin aging associated with dermal matrix alterations and atrophy can be caused by cellular senescence of dermal cells like fibroblasts, and decreased synthesis and accelerated degradation of dermal matrix components, especially collagen fibers. Both intrinsic aging and photoaging exert influence during each step of dermal matrix alteration via different mechanisms. Mouse models of skin aging have been extensively developed to elucidate intrinsic aging and photoaging processes, to validate in vitro biochemical data, and to test the effects of pharmacological tools for retarding skin aging because they have the advantages of being genetically similar to humans and are easily available.

        피부관리실 형태에 따른 미생물 오염도

        이미현(Mi-Hyun Lee),윤미숙(Mi-Sook yoon) 한국화장품미용학회 2015 한국화장품미용학회지 Vol.5 No.2

In this study, visited total 20 ordinary skin care shops or medical skin care clinics in Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions and measured the microbiological contamination of the seven skin care items that most frequently come into contact with skin: gown, towel, spatula, turban, sponge, and makeup brush. The analysis of the type and number of microbes that contaminated the skin care tools used at skin care shops showed that all the bacteria were found fewer in medical skin care clinics than in ordinary skin care shops. This suggests that better hygienic management is provided to medical skin care clinics than to ordinary skin care shops, since Medicine Act specifies how to disinfect the tools used in medical institutions and hygiene education is supervised by nurses. For ordinary skin care shops, however, current system fails to specify standards for hygienic management of skin care shops. As the analysis of microbes found on skin care tools has detected a lot of bacteria and different shops have adopted all different and subjective management methods due to the absence of hygiene standards for skin care shops, it is now known that the hygienic management of skin care shops is a serious problem. Therefore, it is imperative that we should present the right method for disinfecting skin care tools with a view to improving the hygiene conditions in skin care shops.

1997 Archives of Plastic Surgery Vol.24 No.5

Various reconstructive procedures have been applied for the skin and soft tissue defect. However, the sacrifice of the donor site in flap surgery and skin grafting and involving problems of deformity or adhesion with underlying tissue in skin have facilitated the development of skin substitute. The history of artificial skin starred in 1980's with the invention of the "Stage I" membrane by Yannas, and Burke. Since then, it has been improved and applied to the clinical cases of extensive burn injury and full thickness skin defect the resection of the nevus. Recently, an artificial dermis(Terudermis), which is composed of fibrillar athelocollagens and heat-denaturated athelocollagens was developed by Terumo Co. Terudermis has the advantage of allowing early incorporation of cellular and vascular components into its collagen sponge due to dehydrothermal cross linking which is very weak. It is very suitable biological material especially in the reconstruction of the deep skin defects without dermis. From Jun 1996 to April 1997, we have grafted this artificial dermis on bony exposures after the trauma in 2 cases, and the deep skin and the soft tissue defects after the release of burn scar contracture in 1 case. Patients follow-up period ranged from 6 months to 10 months. A week after Terudermis grafting neovasculization took place and the granulation tissues appeared in 2-3 weeks. Then the split-thickness skin graft was applied secondarily resulting in the reproduction of enough volume of skin. For this matter, Terudermis is very useful for deep skin defects especially where primary local flap or free flap can not be used.

Comparison of Skin Wrinkles induced by Topical Squalene Monohydroperoxide Treatment and Chronic UVB Irradiation to the Hairless Mice

        Byoung-Seok Lee,Woo-Chan Son,Jin-Suk Hyun,Ki-Moon Jung,Ho-Sik Rho,Duk-Hee Kim,Young-Chul Shim,Bae-Hwan Kim 한국실험동물학회 2005 Laboratory Animal Research Vol.21 No.1

This study was conducted to assess the possibility of skin wrinkle model by consecutive topical squalene monohydroperoxide(Sq-OOH) treatment to the hairless mice. Squalene monohydroperoxide was produced from squalene by UVA irradiation. Consecutive topical application of squalene monohydroperoxide to the hairless mice skin twice a day for 4 weeks induced the skin wrinkles with clear, deep and fine appearance. Skin wrinkles are appeared to be cross patterns without any particular direction, whereas parallel pattern was induced in the chronic UVB irradiated skin. The chronic UVB irradiated skin model has been known the most common animal model for skin wrinkle test. Photoaged skin showed the increment of epidermal thickness, shortened and fractured collagen bundles, and loss of total dermal collagen. Although similar appearance was occurred as seen in UVB irradiated skin in topical Sq-OOH treatment model, however, Sq-OOH treated skin induced more apparent skin wrinkles and more increment of epidermal thickness than those of chronic DVB irradiated skin. Histopathologically, more prominent keratinocyte hypertrophy was seen in Sq-OOH treated skin, comparison with chronic UVB irradiated group in epidermis. In dermis, degree of characteristic findings of UVB irradiated skin such as the loss of polarity and fractured collagen bundle and elastosis were not severely observed, while slightly increase of inflammatory cells were seen, in Sq-OOH treated skin. These results indicated that skin wrinkles and histopathological changes induced by Sq-OOH are different in many aspects from those by UVB irradiation. However, despite of widely used, chronic UVB irradiated model was spent a lot of time to achieve cumulative effect on the skin. We suggested that Sq-OOH model is a useful model to test the anti-wrinkle effects, because of its short induction time and more clear wrinkle formation.
