국제청소년성취포상제 활동경험과 진로성숙도와의 관계

본 연구는 국제청소년성취포상제에 참여한 청소년들의 활동경험이 진로성숙에 미치는 영향에 대하여 밝혀보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상자는 경기도, 충북, 경남, 대구, 부산, 울산에 거주하며 국제청소년성취포상제에 참여하기를 희망하거나 활동경험이 있는 청소년들을 임의 선정하여 설문지를 배부한 후 최종적으로 153부를 분석하였다. 연구결과와 논의를 중심으로 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국제청소년성취포상제에 참여한 청소년들은 진로성숙도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 국제청소년성취포상제에 적극적으로 참여한 청소년일수록 진로성숙도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 국제청소년성취포상제 활동 효과변인 중 대인관계능력이 진로성숙에 통계적으로 유의미한 영항을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 국제청소년성취포상제는 청소년들이 스스로 선택해서 활동을 해 나가는데 큰 의미가 있다고 본다. 그러므로 국제청소년성취포상제에 대해 지역사회에서 더 많은 청소년들이 활동에 참여할 수 있도록 정보나 장소, 프로그램 등의 지원이 필요하며, 청소년지도자나 포상담당관들의 다양한 연수를 통해 전문성을 확보하고 청소년들이 국제청소년성취포상제에 더욱 적극적으로 활동할 수 있도록 조력해야 할 것이다. This study aims to identify the influence of adolescents` experience in the activities of the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award on their career maturity. The subjects were randomly recruited from adolescents living in Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, Daegu, Busan, and Ulsan who have experienced or wish to participate in the activities of the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award. Survey questionnaires were sent to them and a total of 153 responses were analyzed. Conclusion drawn based on the findings and discussions is as follows. First, it was found that participation in the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award had positive influence on adolescents` career maturity. Second, participants who were more active in the activities of the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award showed more positive outcomes in career maturity. Third, interpersonal skills out of effect variables of the activities of the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award was statistically significant in career maturity. What is significant about the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award is the fact that participants can choose the activities themselves. Therefore, local communities not only need to provide supports like information, places, and programs in order to encourage more teenagers to learn of and join the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award, but also secure professionals by offering various training sessions for youth workers and DofE leaders and help young people more actively performing in the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award.

국제청소년성취포상제 활동경험이 청소년의 자기주도성에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of The International Award for Young People program on self-directedness in learning of adolescents. Nonequivalent control group design was applied to test the effect of The International Award for Young People program on self-directedness in learning of participants. The hypothesis was that the treatment group would be enhanced more than that of the control group. Subjects consisted of 160 middle school student; 80 in the control group and 80 in the treatment group. The questionnaires was consisted of 32 items of self-directedness in learning scale based on Guglielmino's SDLRS. After screening the data, 120 responses were used to analyze the data for this study. SPSS/WIN software was used to analyze the data. The major findings of this study were as follow. First, The International Award for Young People program had positive effects on overall self-directedness in learning of adolescent. Second, The International Award for Young People program had positive effects on love of learning, self-confidence as a learner, openness to a challenge, acceptance of responsibility for learning. But The International Award for Young People program had not positive effects on inqusitive nature, self-understanding. It was concluded that the International Award for Young People program may be viewed as an effective program to enhancing self-directedness in learning of adolescents. 본 연구는 국제청소년성취포상제 활동경험이 청소년의 자기주도성에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 비동등성 대조군 전후실험설계를 적용하였으며, 실험집단에는 H중앙운영기관의 국제청소년성취포상제 프로그램에 신청한 청소년 중에서 동장에 신청한 중학생 80명을 실험집단으로 선정하였다. 통제집단은 실험효과의 확산을 방지하기 위해 국제청소년성취포상제에 참여한 경험이 전혀 없고, 현재도 참여하고 있지 않은 중학생 80명을 선정하였다. 국제청소년성취포상제 프로그램이 시작되기 전에 실험집단과 통제집단을 대상으로 사전조사를 실시하였으며, 프로그램이 시작된 후 8개월 후에 동일한 질문지로 사후조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 국제청소년성취포상제 활동경험은 청소년들의 자기주도성(학습에 대한 애착, 학습자로서의 자기확신, 도전에 대한 개방성, 학습에 대한 호기심, 자기이해, 학습에 대한 책임수용)에 통계적으로 유의한 영향력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기주도성의 하위영역에 대한 국제청소년성취포상제 프로그램의 효과성을 검증한 결과, 자기주도성의 하위영역 중 학습에 대한 애착, 학습자로서의 자기확신, 도전에 대한 개방성, 학습에 대한 책임수용에서는 통계적으로 유의한 영향력을 가졌지만, 학습에 대한 호기심과 자기이해에 대해서는 통계적으로 유의한 영향력을 갖지 않았다. 결과적으로 국제청소년성취포상제 프로그램은 전반적으로 자기주도성을 향상시키는데 효과적이라고 할 수 있지만, 그 하위영역 중에서 학습에 대한 애착, 학습자로서의 자기확신, 도전에 대한 개방성, 학습에 대한 책임수용에서만 긍정적인 영향이 있으며, 학습에 대한 호기심과 자기이해에 대해서는 영향을 미치지 않는다고 할 수 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

국제청소년성취포상제 활동경험과 시민성과의 관계

본 연구는 국제청소년성취포상제에 참여한 청소년들의 활동경험 후 효과에 대하여 요인화 하고, 활동경험이 시민성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 밝혀보고자 한다. 연구대상자는 참여하기를 희망하거나 활동경험이 있는 청소년들을 임의 선정하여 설문지를 배부한 후 최종적으로 132부를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국제청소년성취포상제 활동경험이 있고, 적극적일수록 시민성 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 국제청소년성취포상제 활동 효과 변인 중 책임감과 의사결정능력은 시민성에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 국제청소년성취포상제는 활동 참여 청소년이 스스로 자신이 실천할 수 있는 활동 목표를 세우고 세부계획서를 작성한 후 실행한 활동 내용을 활동기록과 보고서에 작성하도록 되어 있는 자기주도적 활동이다. 그러므로 포상담당관과 전문지도자들은 다양한 프로그램을 제공하여 공동체 활동을 통해 사회구성원이 되기 위해 준비하는 청소년이 아니라 다가올 사회의 시민으로서 준비된 청소년이 될 수 있도록 정보제공자와 조력자로서의 역할을 충실히 해야 할 것이다. This study aims to define elements that represent benefits for adolescents who participated in the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award programs and identify the effects of their experiences on citizenship. Questionnaires were distributed to samples taken at random from adolescents with desire to participate or actual experience of participation, and 132 copies of responses were returned and analyzed. The result of the study is as follows; Firstly, it was found that participation in the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award program had positive effects on the development of citizenship. In addition, more enthusiasm of the participants translated into more positive contribution to the development of citizenship. Secondly, among variables having effect on participation on the Duke of Edinburgh`s Award program, it was found that sense of responsibility and decision-making capability had statistically significant effect on citizenship. The Duke of Edinburgh`s Award is a programs of self-governed activities that enables participating adolescents to set up objectives on their own, develop specific plan to achieve them and document their activities in journals and reports. Therefore, award supervisors and professional instructors, as sources of information and support, need to provide adolescents with a variety of programs designed to help them prepare themselves in community activities to become prepared citizens of the society of tomorrow rather than mere members of the society.

국제청소년성취포상제 포상담당관의 봉사경험에 나타난 다문화인식에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to explore the Duke Of Edinburgh’s International Award coordinators’ multiclutural awareness on their service experience and to provide the plan for their multicultural competency. For this, this study did in-depth interview with six award coordinators and analyzed their experience in terms of their multicultural awareness’ cognition, emotion, and action. The research results are as follows: First, the award coordinators were aware of multicultural youths through their service. As multicultural youths were in the marginalized environments, they were recognized as being familiar with the donation. Second, the award coordinators had empathy with and interacted with the multlcultural youths. They played the parental roles and found their strengths. Third, the award coordinators changed their won actions for multicultural youths. They understood the youths and provided the useful information for the youths and their parents. Based on thes results, this study provided the plan to enhance multicultural awarness and competency. This study expects that the opportunity to enhance multicultural awarness and competency will be extended. 본 연구의 목적은 국제청소년포상제 포상담당관이 다문화청소년과 함께한 봉사활동에 나타난 다문화인식의 변화과정을 탐색하고 이를 바탕으로 포상담당관의 다문화역량 증진방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 포상담당관 6명을 심층인터뷰하고 이를 다문화인식의 인지적인 측면과 공감적인 측면, 행동적인 측면으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 포상담당관들은 포상제 활동을 통하여 다문화가정 청소년에 대해 새롭게 인지하게 되었다. 다문화청소년들은 부모와 사회에서 소외되고 불안한 환경에 놓여 있어 자기주도활동이 안되고, 받는 것에 익숙해져 있는 아이들로 인식되었다. 둘째, 포상담당관들은 다문화청소년들을 공감하며 포상제 활동을 통해 상호작용하였다. 이들은 자기주도활동을 위해 부모역할을 하거나 다문화청소년의 강점을 찾아 지지해주어 마음의 교감을 이루며 활동을 지속하였다. 셋째, 포상담당관들은 포상제 활동을 통해 다문화청소년들을 위한 행동의 변화가 나타났다. 다문화가정 청소년을 이해하게 되고 이들을 도울 수 있는 정보를 찾아 다문화가정 청소년과 부모에게 전달해 주고 포상제 운영의 변화를 촉구하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 포상담당관의 다문화인식 및 다문화역량을 증진할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구를 통해 포상담당관은 물론 다양한 분야에서 다문화인식을 확대하고 다문화역량을 높일 수 있는 기회가 마련되길 기대한다.

포스트 코로나 시대의 국제청소년성취포상제 참여청소년의 활동과정 연구: 대전지역 청소년을 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of activities of teenagers participating in “The Duke Of Edinburgh’s International Award” due to COVID-19, and to propose ways to develop reward activities. In order to achieve this purpose, a non-face-to-face interview survey was conducted on seven teenagers in Daejeon who have participated in the reward program for more than four years. First, the result has shown that volunteer Service, Skills, and physical among the four reward activities were completed, but Adventurous Journet and Group activities were not carried out due to COVID-19. In response, it is necessary to guide teenagers to set goals that can be active in the COVID-19 environment in accordance with some guidelines for changing of The Duke Of Edinburgh’s International Award caused by COVID-19. Second, since COVID-19, many teenage participants were unsatisfied regarding communication with the leader. Specialized training and repair education are required for leaders to facilitate communication and youth activities. Third, most of the teenage interviewees talked about their regrets about promotion for The Duke Of Edinburgh’s International Award. Teenagers have had positive experiences such as a sense of accomplishment, confidence, and frontier spirit while participating in The Duke Of Edinburgh’s International Award for a long time, so they hoped that The Duke Of Edinburgh’s International Award would be well known to other teenagers. Consultations between government departments are needed so that many teenagers could acknowledge and participate in The Duke Of Edinburgh’s International Award through various promotions, like other recognized youth activities in schools. Fourth, we need to supply safety manuals suitable for COVID-19 situations. Fifth, continuous study related to the activity of The Duke Of Edinburgh’s International Award in the national disaster situation is needed.

국제청소년성취포상제 탐험활동의 효과 검증: 자아탄력성을 중심으로

The objectives of research were to analyze the effects of adventurous journey that provides more comprehensive and various experiences and activities among The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award activities centered on ego-resilience, and furthermore to establish the base for theoretical basis and necessity of “youth activity” effects. To accomplish objectives listed above, this research divided subjects into experimental group who experienced The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award adventurous journey and controlled group who did not, and examined the changes of pre and post points for sub-factors of ego-resilience. The results are as follows. First, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award activity and adventurous journey are effective activities on promotion of youth’s ego-resilience. Second, the experience of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award adventurous journey has a positive effect on youth’s positive thinking, problem solving, friendly behavior and emotion control. Third, limit of voluntarily participation and establishment of plan on The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award adventurous journey is found. The results show that The Duke of Edinburgh's Award adventurous journey is recommended and popularized to the more youth to promote their ego-resilience. Therefore, the function as a “platform” for the youth’s competence improvement and healthy self-growth needs to be maximized based on the nature of adventurous journey and philosophy of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. In addition, continuous attention and effort of licensed operators, award coordinators and activity coaches for the youth’s self-resilience and balanced growth with autonomy, spontaneity, and individuality should be made. 본 연구는 청소년의 전인적 성장과 건전한 육성에 있어서 중요한 요인인 자아탄력성을 중심으로 국제청소년성취포상제 활동 중 보다 종합적이고 다양한 경험과 활동이 이루어지는 탐험활동의 효과를 규명하고, 나아가 ‘청소년활동’ 효과의 이론적 근거와 필요성에 대한 단초를 마련하고자 하는 것이 목적이다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 포상제 탐험활동을 경험한 실험집단과 경험하지 않은 통제집단의 자아탄력성 사전․사후 점수의 변화를 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 탐험활동은 개인 성향적 특성 관점에서 청소년의 자아탄력성을 강화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 청소년의 긍정적 사고, 문제해결, 친밀행동, 감정조절에 긍정적 효과가 있으나 탐험활동의 과정에 있어서 자발적이고 자율적인 참여 및 계획수립 등에 한계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 자아탄력성을 향상시키기 위해 탐험활동이 많은 청소년들에게 더욱 권장되고 확산될 필요가 있고, 탐험활동의 특징과 포상제의 철학을 바탕으로 청소년의 역량개발과 건강한 자기성장을 위한 ‘플랫폼’의 기능을 극대화해야 할 것이다. 또한, 자율성, 자발성, 개별성을 살려 청소년으로 하여금 자아탄력적이고 균형 있는 성장을 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 포상운영기관과 포상담당관 및 지도자는 끊임없는 관심과 노력을 경주해야 할 것이다.

국제청소년성취포상제 활동참여자의 목표달성도 영향요인에 관한 구조분석

The purpose of this study was to explore determinants of the level of goal achievement of participants in The International Award for Young People(IAYP) program. A structural equation model was presented to describe the hypothetical causal relationships among external factors of participant, internal factors of participant, and their levels of goal achievements. In the model, internal factors of participant(intrinsic motivation, reflection) were assumed as variables which mediate the effect of external factors of participant(level of participant's involvement in establishing activity tasks, activity environments, youth worker-youth relationship) on the level of goal achievement. 272 youth participating in IAYP program were asked to respond the questionnairs which were conceived to obtain the measures of six latent variables(level of participant's involvement in establishing activity tasks, activity environments, youth worker-youth relationship, intrinsic motivation, reflection, level of goal achievement). After screening the data, 157 responses were used to analyze the data for this study. Lisrel 8.30 was used to analyze the data. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, level of youth involvement in establishing activity tasks had positive effects on level of goal achievement. Second, level of goal achievement was directly affected by reflection and reflection was directly affected by intrinsic motivation. It shows that reflection mediate the effect of intrinsic motivation on level of goal achievement. Third, intrinsic motivation was directly affected by all external factors of participant(level of participant's involvement in establishing activity tasks, activity environments, youth worker-youth relationship). Fourth, a series of path analysis reveal that level of participant's involvement in establishing activity tasks, activity environments, youth worker-youth relationship, intrinsic motivation, and reflection had effects on level of goal achievement. And indirect effects of level of participant's involvement in establishing activity tasks, activity environments, youth worker-youth relationship, intrinsic on goal achievement were mediated by reflection. It means that reflection mediate the effect of this variables on level of goal achievement. All this findings were discussed for youth workers and researches. 본 연구는 국제청소년성취포상제에서 활동참여자의 목표달성도에 영향을 미치는 요인들 간의 인과관계를 탐색적으로 분석하는데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 본 연구에서 활용된 변인은 목표달성도(종속변인), 외부요인(독립변인: 도전과제수립 관여도, 활동환경, 지도자관계), 내부요인(매개변인: 내재적 동기, 성찰)이다. 선행연구와 문헌 검토를 바탕으로 외부요인의 목표달성도에 대한 정적인 직접효과, 내부요인의 목표달성도에 대한 정적인 직․간접효과, 외부요인의 내부요인에 대한 정적인 직접효과, 외부요인의 내부요인을 매개로 한 목표달성도에 대한 정적인 간접효과가 가설로 설정되었다. 가설검증을 위해 국제청소년성취포상제에서 동장활동에 참여하고 있는 청소년 272명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하여 170매를 회수하였다. 이 중 분석에 적합하지 않은 13매를 제외한 157매를 Lisrel 8.30을 이용하여 구조분석을 통해 가설을 검증하였다. 검증결과 가설은 다음과 같이 부분적으로 긍정되었다. 첫째, 외부요인 중 도전과제수립 관여만이 목표달성에 정적인 직접효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 내부요인 중 성찰만이 목표달성에 정적인 직접효과를 미쳤고, 내재적 동기는 성찰을 매개로 목표달성에 정적인 간접효과를 나타냈다. 셋째, 외부요인 모두는 내부요인 중 내재적 동기에만 정적인 직접효과를 나타냈다. 넷째, 외부요인 모두는 내부요인의 내재적 동기를 1차 매개로, 성찰을 2차 매개로 해서만 목표달성에 정적인 직접효과를 나타냈다. 결론적으로, 포상제 활동에서 내부요인인 성찰이 목표달성에 있어 매우 중요한 역할을 하였다.

국제청소년성취포상제 참여청소년의 활동경험에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 국제청소년성취포상제 참여청소년의 활동경험을 알아보고자 1년 이상 장기간 포상제 활동에 참여한 9명의 청소년들을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시하고 이를 합의적 질적 연구방법(Consensual Qualitative Research)으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 포상제의 참여결정은 대부분 자발적이었고 자기개발이나 프로그램이 매력적이어서 참여하게 되었다. 참여청소년들은 활동과정을 통해 성취감이나 보람, 즐거움을 느끼는 인상적인 경험을 하였으며, 본인의 진로에 대한 적성과 꿈을 알 수 있었다. 온라인 시스템과 중간에 포기하고 싶은 마음으로 힘들어 하였는데, 자신의 의지나 외부 환경적인 지지로 극복하게 되었다. 포상제 참여 이후에는 다방면의 경험을 통해 창의성, 자기주도성, 인성이 좋아졌고, 자신이 알지 못했던 잠재력도 발견할 수 있었다. 그리고 자신감과 리더십이 향상되어 사회성이 좋아졌으며 가시적인 성과도 얻은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 온라인 시스템 개선, 중도 포기 극복방안, 포상담당관 지원정책, 부모교육 등의 포상제 활성화 방안을 제시하였다. The object of this study is to understand the experience of youth who participates The Duke of Edinburgh's Award(DEA). To this purpose, The study discussed in this paper involved in-depth interviews with 9 youth participants who had more than 1 year of DEA experience. The collected data was analyzed by the method of Consensual Qualitative Research. The results of the study, most of them took part in activity spontaneously for self-development or a high standard program. Although they were under the stress online-database system, they had the impressive experience of feeling a sense of accomplishment such as rewarding and enjoyment of searching their aptitude and dream. This DEA activity gave them improvement of creativity, self-direction, and personality and finding their potential. Also, they improved the sociality as having confidence and leadership, and got a visible fruit. To improve DEA program, it seems reasonable to concludes that improving online system, management of withdraw, Award coordinator support policy and parent education program.

국제청소년성취포상제 포상담당관의 활동지속성에 영향을 주는 요인

This study was carried out with the aim of suggesting a rational and systematic management plan, and an activation plan to enhance the sustainability of the award coordinator. To do this, a questionnaire survey was conducted on award coordinators in 17 city / province municipal offices and 13 central administrative offices. Then the correlation and regression analysis was conducted for the final 105 respondents. The main results of this study are summarized as follows: First, self-satisfaction, which is a sub-factor of activity, has the greatest influence on the sustainability of the award coordinator’s activities. Second, education, guidance and management, which are sub-factors of the management process, also have a significant impact on the sustainability of the award coordinator’s activities. Third, the relationship with adolescents, which is a sub-factor of interpersonal relationships, has the greatest impact on the sustainability of the award coordinator’s activities. Finally, among the sub-factors of the job characteristics, the activity, identity and functional diversity factor in this order have a great influence on the sustainability of the award coordinator’s activities. Based on these results, the main research implications were proposed in the conclusion and discussion. 본 연구는 포상담당관의 활동지속성을 높일 수 있는 합리적이고 체계적인 관리방안과 활성화방안을 제시하는데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 이를 위해 17개 시‧도 광역사무국과 전국 13개 중앙운영사무국에 소속되어 활동 중에 있는 포상담당관을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였고, 최종 105명의 응답에 대해 상관분석과 회귀분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과를 정리하면 첫째, 활동만족의 하위요인인 자기만족이 포상담당관의 활동지속성에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 관리과정의 하위요인인 교육 및 지도‧관리가 포상담당관의 활동지속성에 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 대인관계의 하위요인인 청소년과의 관계가 포상담당관의 활동지속성에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 직무특성의 하위요인 중에 활동정체성, 기능다양성요인 순으로 포상담당관의 활동지속성에 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 주요 연구 함의들을 결론 및 논의에서 제안하였다.

지역사회봉사 네트워크의 제도적 차이가 청소년 사회참여 활동에 미치는 영향

In order to enhance the participation of youths’ voluntary services on their community, the schools provided the program to educate with empathy and participation skill on local institutions in school. However, the schools’ voluntary services had some difficulties to realize the original goal. The purpose of this study is to compare the differences between school voluntary service and local voluntary service association in adolescents’ collective action for the Duke Of Edinburgh’s International Award in Korea. The research questions are as follows. What is difference using of the Ostrom’s design principle of public goods institution (1990) between school voluntary system and local voluntary system in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award? How are the factors related to the adolescents’ collective action for political participation having between school voluntary system and local adolescents’ voluntary system in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award? In order to explore these research questions for using the Ostrom’s design principle of public goods institution school voluntary system. The results imply that the program of youth volunteering activities has some problems with less effectiveness and autonomy for education. On the other hand, local voluntary systems and institutions in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award not only have advantages more spontaneousness and autonomy, but also predict adolescents’ political participations for education. The local volunteering activities need for changing the process for evaluating youth collective action in local social or political participation.
