      • 교란대기에서 채널 코딩을 이용한 광위성 통신용 수신기 설계

        Optical communication with heterodyne detection system between earth station and satellite is characterized by turbulence of transmitted laser light. We compensate the atmospheric turbulent effects with optical methods using noncoherently combined optical heterodyne receiver which has diameter of atmospheric phase coherence length at each photodetector. Error correcting code using an interleaver improves the performance of optical communication system. The bit error probability of (2, 1, 9) convolutional code using interleaver over a long clear-air atmospheric optical communication was simulated as a function of interleaving delay time and burst error length for soft decision Viterbi decoding. Coding gains of several dB at probability of ?? are obtained under clear-air turbulent condition.

        Optical communications through the atmosphere offer the potential of relatively inexpensive high speed line-of-sight communications. Furthermore, the performance of any gound-to-ground or satellite-to-ground optical link will be affected by the atmosphere. The atmosphere is an imperfect medium for transmission of optical communications signals. It is not homogeneous and further, it is dynamic in its behavior. The atmosphere can be considered as producing some effects on transmission of light. These effects are turbulence, absorption, and scattering. All three can reudce the amount of light energy that is collected at the receiver and corrupt the data being sent. Although the effect of attenuation due to absorption/scattering can be overpowering in a link design, and can be compensated with judicious choice of wavelength of light signal, the fluctuations in amplitude and phase due to turbulence give rise to a number of important effects.

      • 方位別로 測定한 소나무의 胸高直徑과 根元直徑과의 關係에 關한 硏究

        樹木에 있어서 直徑의 偏倚生長原因은 常風뿐만 아니라 立地, 울폐도, 병충해 등 諸原因이 綜合作用하여 일어나는 것으로 생각되나 위선 常風의 方向과 方位에 關한 林木의 直徑生長과 어떤 關係가 있는 것인가를 알고저 河東邑所在 松林의 林木들에 關해서 方位別로 測定한 根元直徑과 胸高直徑과의 關係를 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1. 幹의 橫斷面은 楕圓形으로서 長軸의 方向이 이 地方의 常風의 方向과 一致하여 直徑이 커져서 偏倚生長을 하고 있음이 인정되었다. 2. 根元直徑에서 胸高直徑을 算出하는 關係式 D=0.8214 D'-0.395의 式을 決定하였다. 3. 胸高 및 根元直徑과의 相關係數를 보면 NS의 方向에서 γ=+0.961±0.0196, EW의 方向에서 γ=+0.847±0.0020으로서 高度의 相關關係가 있음이 인정되었다. It's thought of that the ellipic growth of the diameter in the trees often results from the several causes, that is, the constant wind, the site, the degree of closure and the insect pests. But to know correctly what kind of relation exists between the course and direction and the diameter growth of the forest trees, I calcurated the relation between the diameter of breast height and the diameter of root-stock of the forest trees at HA DONG SONG LIM. The results of this study are as follows; 1) It was found that the cross section of the stem is a elliptical orbit and the direction of the long axis and the derection of the cinstant wind in this region agreed between themselves and the diameter grows as the ellipic growth. 2) It was decided that a formula to calculate the diameter of breast height from the diameter of root-stock, that is, D=08.214,D-0.395 3) According to the correlation coefficient between the daimeter of breast height and the diameter of root-stock, there was a high state correlation, that is, in the direction N S, R=+0,961±0,0196 and in the direction E W, R=+0,847±0,0020.

        In digital Optical communication systems, the on-off keying method is the most hopeful one. In this paper, the probability of bit error under the influence of mode conversion of lens-sequential waveguide with forth order aberration is numerically considered and analized. The first discussion, by using a correlation function of mode conversion coefficient, presents a linear system of waveguide for intensity response. In next place, the probability distribution of photoelectron for output of a photodetector, when considering the items relating to mode conversion, is produced and, furthermore, the optimum threshold and the probability of bit error are studied in a decision circuitry.

      • 폐암세포에 대한 附子 추출물의 독성 효과

        The aim of this study was to investigate the cytotoxic effect and its mechanism on Radix Aconiti(RA) extract in lung cancer cell lines. RA extract treatment decreased the cell viability in a dose-dependent fashions in lung cancer cells including A549, H460, H23 and H157 cells. Many investigators reported that A549 and H460 cells expressed wild-type p53, but H23 and H157 cells preserved mutated p53. After treatment with RA extract in A549 and H460 cells, we measured the expression of p53 protein levels using Western blot, analysis. In both cells treated with RA extracts, p53 protein expressions were increased in a dose-dependent manner. In our experiments, RA extracts also have cytotoxic effects in H23 and H157, which have mutated p53. Treatment with RA extract decreased bcl-2 protein expressions in both cells. These results suggest that RA extracts have cytotoxic effects via p53 expression increase and bcl-2 inhibitable pathways in A549, H460 cells and H23, H157 cells, respectively.

        This paper deals with the utilization of multimedia that helps Korean elementary school students develop their language learning by using a variety of language teaching methods. These methods include lessons based upon the student's interests, student centeredness, and meaningful activities. In order to provide efficient educational software program to language teaching/learning, the educational materials designed by educational goals according to the characteristics of learners are necessarily needed. Therefore, the individualized media lesson could possibly sustain the learner's interests and reinforce his/her language learning with lots of feedback and thorough assessment. Finally, for the development of multimedia language teaching/learning, the computerized program needs to be evaluated by the professional expert on the points of the validity of educatonal goal, the appropriateness of the contents, the pertinence of communication delivery, and the trust of programming technology.

        〈Objective〉 This study were carried out to study to assess the relationship between job characteristics, general characteristics, health behaviors, and psychosocial distress and suggested the preventive oriental medicine approaches in occupational health area. 〈Methods〉 We measured job characteristics(job demand, job control, jop insecurity) by The Karasek's Job Content Questionnaire, health behaviors(smoking, drinking, exercise, coffee), general characteristics at work by a self-administered questionnaire. Psycho social distress was measured by PWI(Psychosocial Well-being Index), a 18-item self- administered instrument. 370 data for research were collected through the process of oriental health examination with questionnaire in workplace. Statistical analysis was done by t test, oneway ANOVA, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis with SPSSWIN (version 10.0) 〈Results〉 Among the 152 respondents, the prevalence of high job strain was 27%(41 persons). The Odds ratio of high job strain was 3.11(95 2.12~4.11), and those of passive group and active group were 2.01(95 0.83~2.76) and 1.80(95 0.83~2.76), respectively. Our results supported the association between psychosocial distress and job strain. 〈Conclusion〉 The odds ratio of high strain isolated group(high strain group+low social support) was 3.59(95 2.05 5.13), but the odds ratio of high strain collective group was 1.32(95 0.23 2.41). Social support at work was modifing factor of the association between psycho social distress and job strain. Therefore we reviewed the evidence that economic depression was associated with psycho social distress in this study, and that the strength of the social support was important in maintain health.

        CS₂는 마이크로파와 광파에서의 유전율이 같고, 손실 또한 매우 작다. 이런 성질을 이용하여 TEM 전송선로상에 전파되는 전제에 의해 CS₂에 생기는 Kerr전기망 현상을 이용하여 진행파형 레이져 변조기를 만들수 있다. CS₂가 채워진 공진형 Strip 전송선으로 구성된 진행파형 Kerr Cell 을 만들어 복조실험을 했다. 복조기를 -55℃정도 냉각시키면 복조에 필요한 마이크로파 전력이 냉각시키지 않았을 때에 비해 1/2로 감소 시킬수 있었다. 공진형 비교적 효율적인 변조기를 전송선로의 길이를 하면 얻을 수 있다. Carbon disulfide has identical microwave and optical dielectric constants, as well as extremely low optical and microwave loss. Owing to these characteristic, it is possible to construct long traveling wave laser modulator at microwave frequency using the Kerr effect of CS₂by an electric field propagation on TEM transmission line. Modulation experiments with traveling wave Kerr Cell consisting of resonant strip transmission lines immersed in CS₂are performed. It was also pointed out that decrease in required microwave power for modulation by a factor of 2, by cooling the modulators to a temperature Carbon disulfide has identical microwqve and optical dielectric constants, as well as extremely low optical and microwave loss. Owing to these characteristic, it is possible to construct long traveling wave laser modulator at microwave frequency using the Kerr effect of CS₂by an electric field propagation on TEM transmission line. Modulation experiments with traveling wave Kerr Cell consisting of resonant strip transmission lines immersed in CS₂are performed. It was also pointed out that decrease in required microwave power for modulation by a factor of 2, by cooling the modulators to a temperature 220。K. Furthermore, relatively high efficiency modulation was obtained using traveling wave Kerr Cell structure with relatively long length of resonant strip transmission lines.
