Energy conversion in rotating electric machines results from the relative movement of windings, magnetic flux and m.m.f which are elementary factors. In this paper, a technique repesenting the above 3 factors as space vectors in re-lative movement is proposed. The space vectors are related to phasors of A.C rotating machines under steady state. As a result of application of the technique, actual relative movements of machines corresponding to any phasor diagram are well visualized and especially concepts of torque producing mechanism is easily described.
방진마스크의 Stainless steel arc 용접흄 여과효율에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate for filtration efficiency of several dust masks, comparing with filtration efficiency certified by KOSHA(Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency), and to require of the right use of protective respirator. Using a welding fume generator and chamber, several dust masks, which were widely used in the workplaces in korea, were tested for their filtering efficiency for stainless steel are welding fume. The filtration efficiency testing system consisted of a welding fume generator, a chamber and a filtration unit. The filtration unit was made of a mask which was inserted into the sampling cassette and another sampling cassette, which contained mixed cellulose ester filter paper. These two cassettes were connected with tubing. Stainless steel arc welding fume generator was delivered into an chamber. The welding fume in the chamber was passed into the filtration unit with flow rate of 30 liter/min. The welding fume filtration efficiency was evaluated by gravimetric measurement. Metal concentrations in the welding fume before and after filtration were measured with inductive coupling plasma analyzer. Following results were obtained: Filtration efficiency of welding fume for comm hygienic mas was 63.82% and the average efficiencies for A, B, C, D, E, F and G masks were 94.62% 96.58%, 83.20%, 82.76%, 77.25%, 86.55% and 93.22%, respectively. Our results indicate that dust masks used widely in the welding workplaces in korea are not proper for protecting worker's health and then the use of fume mask should be required.

Recently superconductive magnetic energy storage(SMES) has been studied for stabilizing electric power system due to simultaneous control of active and reactive power, high efficiency and rapid response. In this paper, a method for optimum determination for the required ratings of SMES for power system stability is proposed. In the method, maximum operating voltage level and ratio of minimum/maximum charging current of superconducting coil are used as important parameters.

The purpose of the study was to undertaken to analysis the Grab starting technique between national representive team(3) and Cheju's representive team(3) with 3D cinematography. The conclusions obtained were as follows: Cheju's showed more elapsed time than national representive team on starting block. and more vertical than horizontal direction of COG position, more concentrated vertical velocity & acceleration than forward direction. Therefore It is necessory for cheju's to train balanced trust force in horizontal and vertical direction in grab starting technique.
Posterior Cruciate Ligament: Focus on Conflicting Issues

There is little consensus on how to optimally reconstruct the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) and the natural history of injured PCL is also unclear. The graft material (autograft vs. allograft), the type of tibial fixation (tibial inlay vs. transtibial tunnel), the femoral tunnel position within the femoral footprint (isometric, central, or eccentric), and the number of bundles in the reconstruction (1 bundle vs. 2 bundles) are among the many decisions that a surgeon must make in a PCL reconstruction. In addition, there is a paucity of information on rehabilitation after reconstruction of the PCL and posterolateral structures. This article focused on the conflicting issues regarding the PCL, and the scientific rationales behind some critical points are discussed.

The microbial and physicochemical properties of brown and white cooked rice treated by atmospheric pressure plasma (APP). APP was produced (250 W, 15 kHz, ambient air) and applied to brown and white cooked rice for 5, 10, and 20 min. The 20-min plasma treatment reduced in bacterial counts by 2.01 log CFU/g when cooked rice were inoculated with Bacillus cereus or Escherichia coli O157:H7. The pH of the brown cooked rice was decreased by the 5-min plasma. The hardness values of APP-treated brown and white cooked rice were lower than untreated samples. The reducing sugar contents of brown and white cooked rice were significantly higher than those in untreated samples. Lipid oxidation of APP-treated brown and white cooked rice were higher compared to untreated samples. These results indicate that APP improves microbial quality, although further studies should be conducted to change the physicochemical qualities of brown and white cooked rice induced by APP.

변형된 inlay 방법을 이용한 후방십자인대 재건 및 후외측 재건을 실시한 환자 중 후외측 관절막에 수술적 제거가 필요했던 이소성 골화가 생긴 1예를 보고하고자 한다. 환자는 근위 경골부 직접 타박상을 6개월 전에 받았으며 내원 당시에 허혈성 소견은 없었고, 다른 부위의 외상도 없었다. 수술적 치료를 시행하였으며 술 후 4개월에 0-30도의 관절 운동 범위를 나타내었다. 방사선 사진에서는 특이 소견이 없었고, 관절경적 유착 박리술을 시행하였으며 0-120도의 관절 운동범위를 얻을 수 있었다. 술 후 6개월에 후방 관절막에 이소성 골화 소견이 있었으며 술 후 12개월에 성숙된 이소성 골을 제거 하였다. 그후 재발은 없었으며 술 후 42개월째에 0-140도의 관절운동범위를 보였다. We describe a case of posterolateral capsular heterotopic ossification requiring a surgical excision after a PCL (Posterior Cruciate Ligament) reconstruction using the modified inlay method and PLCS (posterolateral corner sling) with a tibia tunnel. A 21-year-old female patient had suffered a blunt proximal tibial direct trauma 6 months earlier. She did not experience limb ischemia or a pulse deficit before she visited our out patient clinic. She had not suffered any trauma in other sites, and showed a range of motion of 0 to 30° at 4 months after surgery. There was no specific finding on the X-ray images. Arthroscopic adhesiolysis was performed and her range of motion increased to 0 to 120°. However, 6 months after the initial operation, she showed ankylosis and heterotopic ossification at the posterior aspect, which was surgically removed at 12 months postoperatively. After the second surgery, there was no recurrence and she showed a 0 to 140° range of motion at postoperative 42 months.
